localhost is a special url

it's, literally, my house

discord is asking you where your house is, and you're saying my house, which obviously doesnt' work

keep in mind that learning from AI is a mistake because beginners can't tell when it's lying to them

You need to go to a different discord bot screen

to generate a login url

they changed it recently

I am learning from videos and i am buying some courses of python to learn i just said that i asked to chatgpt what url to use

this is my second bot my first bot was just with simple commands like !hello or something like this i am now just trying to do something more " hard "

When i did my first bot the url uri was not asked and and i don't know why now it ask me to have one and i don't know what is a uri

It's really annoying. It looks like discord is continuing to try and kill standard bots and push everyone to "Apps"

uri stands for "uniform resource locator" and is basically just a url

semantically they're a little different
