I do not know why but even after I have deleted everything as in sent all the python folders and file to trash and emptying the trash it still acts as if python is still on my computer and I don't know why.

Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.

Hello

azure flame
#

recommended steps:

#
  1. run the "repair" from that menu
#
  1. when it finishes, restart
#
  1. uninstall Python from Add/Remove Programs

And in the future never ever "uninstall" stuff by moving the files to trash. Windows keeps track of installed stuff in registry, removing files doesn't change registry and might keep files in stuff like AppData - always use "Add/Remove Programs" to remove programs correctly

no

#

type "add remove programs" in the Start menu

#

@nova haven

#

you'll bring up the icon that takes you to where you manage your installed apps

#

if you're using WIndows 11 it'll look like this

#

type "python" in the search box

#

and then you can click the dots at the right of the entry to remove a given program

#

Having hit the repair button, idle is working now

nova haven
#

I will test it with the programs I have written

OK

I will open a different help chat because I have deleted pip and require the instructions to install it
