I'm working on an assignment for a python 101 course, and I have to calculate the distance between points (x1, y1, x2, y2). I thought I did everything right but can't get past the error. Can someone help me understand what I'm doing wrong?

Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.

youre using pythagoras to find the distance right?

#

if so your forumula is wrong

#

its a^2+b^2 = c^2 not (a+b)^2=c^2

#

you might find this useful, some coordinate geometry

#

just substitute the values into the equation and you should be fine
