Python help channel opened

Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.

Hey

#

i'm looking how to edit a file

gleaming sorrel
#

Or you want a nice code editor/IDE with autocompletion and all that sort of stuff?

#

Let's find out what you really want and go from there

hollow pewter
#

can't really edit it

tacit sierra
#

what kind of file is it?

#

I cannot understand the language so I can't help with that. But 2 things

#

1 make sure in the properties the file is not read only

#

2 try to open it in notepad if it's a text file or .py file

mild ruin
#

Search for "open with", and than choose notepad or your IDE

gleaming sorrel
#

Why can't you open it

#

What does it say when you try to open it

#

What is the file extension (.something)

#

Give us more information please

#

We can't help you like that out of the blue

#

You can't open an executable file (.exe) with an IDE

#

It's not code that you can read anymore

hollow pewter
gleaming sorrel
#

You can't edit it anymore

gleaming sorrel
#

I would advise you to not open some random executable you just downloaded

#

It could and probably is malware

#

Especially with the "skibidi" name
