Remember to:
- Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
- Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
- Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.
:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.

are screenshot not a really slow method performance wise?
Maybe, but it does not explain the static image.
yep
im not certain why as i dont have much expwerience in this area
you sure cv2.imshow() isn't blocking?
Works fine after changing resolution, try checking shape of frames you are writing to VideoWriter
hmm ok ill try it out, also sorry I didnt respond I had to go eat 'food'
Taking screenshot and getting its res before initialization should do the trick screen_size = pyautogui.screenshot().size
ill try it ty

# Recording settings
SCREEN_SIZE = pyautogui.screenshot().size
FPS = 30
CHUNK = 1024
FORMAT = pyaudio.paInt16
CHANNELS = 2
RATE = 44100
