🔒 element tree xpath doesn't work

so i have element tree, and this xpath i want to target <color> elements with the username attribute equal to jsonobj['username'], but regardless of that, it's None. what's the problem?

colors.find(f".//colors/color[@username='{jsonobj['username']}']")
