I am trying to get input from the user to be in integer format, but I am getting the following error

you also never need to do str(input())

input is ALWAYS string

it's only when you want it to be an int/float that it needs to be converted

so then float would be float(input())?

but keep in mind that will error if you type something it doesn't make sense for

like if you type in tacos you will get an error because it's just blindly trying to convert it
