🔒 matplotlib plotting wrong

plotting is showing up on the side. what is this called and why is it doing this? before on my other computer it defaults to opening a new tab for the plt.show() chart when i run it
imports im using is

import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
from matplotlib.animation import FuncAnimation

At the top

what does that do? adding gets me: matplotlib.use("TkAgg")

also do you know why its not automatically tracing to the bottom if you know what i mean, when i run a script. it did before

Adding that code makes mataplot use a interactive window instead

And a new window should pop up

use animation.save("filename.mp4")

why im getting ImportError: Cannot load backend 'TkAgg' which requires the 'tk' interactive framework, as 'headless' is currently running

Are you running the editor locally?

Try using animation.save instead

i don't want to create new files

just want it to display like before

kind of locally, its remote connection to an EC2 instance via pycharm

You can't display a animation as a png/jpeg/jpg/whatever image format
