I have looked at Digital Ocean, Linode, and Vultr. They all seem to come as a package which includes fixed ram, cpu, and storage. I need a really low powered ram and cores, but need a bit more storage. 1 core cpu 0.5 to 1 gb ram, but 15gb or more storage. Just looking to save a bit of money every month. I am using these vms just to tinker with them and install packages. Not running anything production.

oracle cloud also has a free tier with decent storage

Hetzner has some really cheap VPS and they also run some kind of auction/discount deals where you can grab some nice setups, I got one for โ‚ฌ3.29/mo without tax, but I think you can go even a bit cheaper

I have Aws. I need a derivative of RHEL 8. I dont think I found Cent OS 8, Alma Linux 8, or Rocky Linux 8 on aws in the free tier, but I'll check again.

I came across some posts that also mentioned Oracle Cloud has a nice free tier, but people said they will wipe out your vm if you dont do pay as you go if you went over their limits, so I'm warry because I dont wanna get a big bill because it's Oracle. 90% of the time my vms will be idle and when I use it the compute will be little.

I have heard great things about Hetzner. โ‚ฌ3.29/mo is pretty good. I'm paying $6/mo. 3 vms so $18/mo. I have heard it's a bit hard to get verified by Hetzner if you live in the US. But I'll look into it more.

I see the โ‚ฌ3.29/mo option.

yeah it can only get this cheap for ipv6-only option and on the lowest HW, but it's great for testing stuff out

#

and it's without tax, which depends on your country
