i only seem to be getting [] output in my terminal when i run that can anyone help?

print your soup and eyeball it to find if it has the class="gd-table" in it or if it has <table> tags

if none of those exists, then thats why its returning []

Maybe use html.parser instead of lxml?

And double check the URL to that page?
