I'm making chess in pygame, and I've been developing a system to recognise clicks from the user. My code can recognise where the clicks fall, and distinguish which piece it falls upon - I want for the user to be able to see where the pieces can move after being clicked, but it won't actually display the dot images (that would show this).
I've done some testing, and the rectangle objects that hold the image are being created and put at the right places, but the image just won't show. Could someone help spot the issue that I'm encountering?
Here's the code:
The code that detects the clicks: https://paste.pythondiscord.com/PKTQ (consists of code from two files).
Code that consists of information about the pieces and board: https://paste.pythondiscord.com/VA5A.
I am pretty new to pygame, so apologies if it's a pretty obvious issue.

Remember to:
- Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
- Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
- Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.
