I don't know if this is 100% related to python or not, but since I'm setting up the server itself in python I thought this might be allowed. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here knows how port-forwarding works, so that my friends can play my game that I'm creating, or if there are any other ways to make non-local machines connect to my server.

Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.

I was also considering using amazon web-services, but since I think that might be even less related to python, I'll maybe try some other forum for that info.

This doesn't have anything to do with Python. You should be able to find guides on the topic though. This is a fairly common question.
