I know basic python. I can connect to different databases fetch data, transform it and load to other database. I want to become good at python. So, my question would be if DSA is even required for becoming a data engineer and if yes then how much? also please suggest a course

I literally work with those cringe lords you call data engineers all the time and I have no idea what you mean by DSA?

DSA is Driving Standards Agency. It probably is a requirement for some companies to be able to drive to some standards given by your local authority. So I would say, in general, yes, adherence to DSA is required to become a Data Engineer. Companies generally will not hire people who cannot drive to legal standards (if they are aware of it) because it is a liability.

i can't speak for all companies, as you can imagine, but in my company knowing data structures and algorithms as a data engineer is absolutely not required

also if you are already paying ~60GBP for that, might as well get algo monster? (that's the one i used to get back to job search ready state from being rusty in very little time - it doesn't exactly hold your hand that well but gives you the necessary information to excel)
