#🔒 expanding serial port usage

in below mentioned pastebin you will find 2 files original and expanded. The original file works like a charm but the expanded i seem to just not get to work properly. Am i taking this in a completely wrong approach? no real errors are given but it just doesn't work like functions not getting syntax colors etc.

the purpose of the program is to send 50 times a serial number through a homebrew 24v 300 baud uart connection. Now i want to be able to do this to 2 different uart connections in 1 program since the IOT device has 2 seperate connections where i can register unique data to up to 50 times each.
