im trying to turn 2024-04-03 02:06:04 into 2024/04/03 i have this code right now unix_time = 1712102764 dt_object = datetime.fromtimestamp(unix_time) converted_time = datetime.fromisoformat(dt_object[:-1]).strftime("%Y/%m/%d")

but i just get an error TypeError: 'datetime.datetime' object is not subscriptable

dt_object is a datetime object. you can't use [:-1] on it

#

and passing it to datetime.fromisoformat also makes little sense.. just do: dt_object.strftime(...)

Note, when you print a datetime object, you only get a string representation. so seeing 2024-04-03 02:06:04 in your output, doesn't mean that you're actually working with a string "2024-04-03 02:06:04"
