Remember to:
- Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
- Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
- Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

help when i type the invalid width after typing the length correctly it goes back to the length
you only have one loop and it starts with prompting the length, so when you have continue in your width prompt it goes back to prompting the length
while True:
if shape not in shapes:
print("please enter a valid shape")
shape = input("rectangle, square, circle, triangle | ")
else:
try:
# Rectangle area calculator
if shape == "rectangle":
try:
height = abs(float(
input("What is the length of your rectangle? ")))
except ValueError:
print("please enter a valid height")
continue
try:
width = abs(float(input("What is the width of your rectangle? ")))
except ValueError:
print("please enter a valid width")
continue
honestly if you want to get input i would separate that logic into its own function
i didn't offer you new code, i posted your original faulty code
oh crap im stpuid
