If you want to run it, open a terminal in that folder and type py file.py replacing file.py with your actual file

Well your first problem was double clicking the py file

I’m not sure why you are getting this error

It might be worth restarting and seeing if that fixes anything

If not then open a terminal window and type py to see if anything is installed

I don't think there will be any problem if you install a new version but I don't know how to clear them from control panal.

the installer (for the same version) might have a "repair" option, if it can detect the existing installation... so a repair and then proper uninstall could work

That appears to just indicate that the code you're running doesn't print/do anything.
