@mild flume Would you create a class to represent this?
generated_unitary_list.append([start_index, end_index, generated_unitaries])
Where you'd basically have start_index, end_index, and generated_unitaries as the attributes of a class called UnitaryLayer.
So, list of UnitaryLayer instances instead of this.
It just looks, icky.
Maybe a dataclass

Hi

Baarle-Nassau
I am going to go now catch you.
I think I'm over worked
How so?
hello
good
Once you think you've flagged all the mines for a square, you can click it with both mouse buttons to clear it @proper ridge 👀
Simon Tatham's version of minesweeper is nice because it guarantees that you can solve the grid by deduction: https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/puzzles/js/mines.html
Whereas I think with the standard minesweeper you sometimes have to guess.
!eval ```py
def foo():
if False:
yield
print(list(foo()))
:white_check_mark: Your 3.12 eval job has completed with return code 0.
[]
You shouldn't explicitly raise stop iteration in a generator function I think.
You'd use that in like, __next__.
Yeah but there's tons of situations that are covered by the standard situations I covered
Hello 👀
I've started going to the gym, so that's why I'm not in here as often on weekdays 😄
lel
I think I remember once seeing a version of minesweeper that guarantees you'll hit a mine if the safety of the square you click is not deducible from the information you have 😄
Like, adversarial minesweeper

What’s going king?
I’m a python noob but I used to dabble in it a long time ago
I’m interested in PenTesting and cyber security stuff
Yea I’m hella rusty 😂
Will do, I know it’s grey area field
Best done in a VM
Or on a self created server
I’m also trying to be to expand my skill set
I did IT stuff in highscool for 2 years but they just taught us bear minimum Java
Nothing super useful
I’m trying to buy a laptop so I can have a machine dedicated to programming. What specs do you recommend?
@faint dock
Oh nvm
I'm not in a position to recommend anything.
hello
I would not know the answer to that question, but for other possible people to answer... Probably specify what types of programming and purpose of.
Just trying to do python and VM stuff
It’s more so a hobby
It’s VM I’m worried about, not tying to run a VM and stress out my machine
for the vm get 8 cores (16 threads) or more and at least 16gb of ram, and a 500gb or 1tb ssd
@stray flare
you should be comfortably able to run vms on that
thats so overkill but yea should work
honestly 4 core 8gb ram and 250gb ssd works for my vms
8gb ram is the minimum requirement for windows
if you want to run more than one vm on it, you'll need at least another 8gb
as for the 250gb, it depends on what you want to do with the vms
4 cores is again the minimum for windows, so if you want to run vms you will need additional resources to allocate

Hi
We don't use that. I can't remember why
so now I have to make a proper changelog out of this
https://github.com/parrrate/ruchei/compare/0.0.94...0.0.95
Studying 👀
I usually write it as I make the commits, and at the end I just put them all together.
Saves time.
yes
I'm not doing that yet
I see.
you sound , sleeeepyyyyy @thin lintel
ohhhh 3 hrs MATH
sometimes they inject code errors intentionally ( I tell myself this story , la la la ) , to see if you catch them @thin lintel
@umbral rose Sorry to bother, Dev, what was the name of the package that generates python call graphs?
maybe 29.5 hours of applying to CEO positions were included in those 30 hours
sounds like a HORROR SHOW
everything is signed

no - its more for reference for later , different ways of teaching math
Have I recommended the Sheldon Axler's "Linear Algebra Done Right"?
I think I have.
when you get stuck - need a fresh view
I was going to read Gilbert Strang's linear algebra book.
his course material and videos are free , Strang - if its same one @wary fable
vietnamese salads - mmm wonder @wary fable
retired British fella gave me his , old school boy math books ( actually very advanced ) and Engineers data books , very cool 1930s real books @wary fable
Afroman - Gotta Get High
That one is good too, but I think Sheldon Axler's is much better.

Produced by: Afroman
Album: Because I Got High
It's very clear and comprehensive and it covers topics up to end of Masters LA.
I added a changelog.md file
but I still need to make a parser for it
I'd rather make a tool that copies text from one place to another than do that myself
How long would it take you, and is it worth that amount of your time?
it's not for time save, it's for consistency
I honestly doubt it'd take you more than 2-3 hours.
autotagging tool took a long time to get working well enough
first few commits were this but then I realised it's an actual useful tool and not just a toy
I actually like writing it by hand.
Gilbert Strang , MIT @wary fable
changelog?
Yeah.
It helps me get an internal system for consistency.
and also auto-renaming the unreleased section to a specific release
and then linking to a diff
all that shouldn't be done manually
I have to do that too I think at some point.

I tried Arc and Zen;
both performed worse than Chrome, so I decided to wait
I might have a somewhat cursed computer
Performance is not my priority. Not using Chrome is my priority.
for Zen it was also about weird UI bugs
and Arc just didn't work for more than a few minutes
Yeah, I found disabling and reenabling my adblocker on Zen usually fixed the UI bugs. Which I then reported to the devs.
I'm going to be using Zen until LadyBird is available.
and with Arc too
I haven't used Arc
I would be okay with its layout if it functioned properly
At this point, if a browser's website starts using "AI" as a selling point, I refuse to use it.
I don't like when the browser claims itself to be customisable but doesn't provide an option to fix the UI error also known as rounded window borders
for tired brains just watch silly cartoons - resets neurons a bit
Oh, I like rounded window borders, so it isn't an error for me.
In fact, if I could find a way to replicate it in other browsers, I will.
agreed, they're pretty nice
there is some completely deluded narrative in Arc/Zen that you "need" round borders and that it's not just a taste thing
Yeah that's stupid. It should be an option, not a mandate. Like with going into the office.
the only browser, that has a valid reason to enforce window borders, is Tor
there reason there is to ensure that people with slightly different window sizes have the same viewport size
Here's hoping LadyBird has that level of customization then, since I doubt any browser being made with that level of dogmatism (Arc and Zen) will fix that issue anytime soon.
(to reduce fingerprinting)
but anyway, I won't get certs by sitting around on discord, talk later

You're probably used to using a computer mostly through graphical user interfaces (GUIs). When programming, it's more common to write programs with text/terminal user interfaces (TUIs) at first, as it's just easier to write programs that deal only with text. Creating a GUI for a program takes a bit of work, and it's normally not necessary for learning basic programming concepts. JS is a bit of an exception in that it was created specifically for web-development; i.e. it runs in a web browser, which is a graphical environment. If you'd prefer to take more of a visual approach to learning, you could could try a graphical environment like Processing (https://processing.org/). This guy on YouTube has videos where he creates cool visualisations using the Javascript version of Processing: https://www.youtube.com/@TheCodingTrain/videos
One sec sorry
@velvet musk Were you asking for streaming permissions?
Yes she is

If you are learner and want to learn as quick as possible:
Go for the kaggle.com or anaconda
!stream 886227712056885309
✅ @velvet musk can now stream until <t:1728055743:f>.
Once you start the stream, you can keep it going indefinitely.

Ah, I'll be around so just ask if you need them again.
What?
I love u no homo
@velvet musk A common issue is that you're running your program in a different python environment than the one you installed the package into.
Try running the command python -m pip list to list the packages you have installed into the global environment of whichever python interpreter python refers to on your system.
You need to run that command in powershell.
Alright
python -m pip list
Sorry, remove the `s
So what was the package you wanted to use? Do you have a link to the package on PyPI?
pip install TTS
Erm, can't read that sorry
Hmm, the installation instructions say it's tested on Ubuntu, but there are instructions for installing it on Windows here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/66726331/how-can-i-run-mozilla-tts-coqui-tts-training-with-cuda-on-a-windows-system
Looks like it's a bit of a complicated installation though.
What're you ultimately trying to achieve with this library? Maybe there's a simpler solution 🤷♂️
Is it advisable to run online games in a virtual box ? I have a fresh W11 install dont want to fuck it up
Hey @faint dock

your gonna do CUDA stuff on NVIDIA card ? @velvet musk

@pearl widget I think it's just a personal project
@pearl widget Use least word to describe or talk
@pearl widget regularly speaking in english in VC may help
I can understand you fine ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, like I said, the installation instructions seem a bit complicated. You don't have another machine with Ubuntu installed by any chance?
@pearl widget Think before what you want to talk and how you wanna express it avoid taking pause like "hmm"
are you gonna sandbox this installation ??? @velvet musk
footlooose and fancyfree installation
I'm really sorry @velvet musk but I've gotta go. I have to revoke streaming permissions because we require a mod to be present. I might be back around later, cya 👋
!revokestream 886227712056885309
❌ This member doesn't have video permissions to remove!
@velvet musk's stream has been suspended!
Sorry! You can still get text help if you have issues with the installation, and Hem will probably be back soon
