trust me no one bothers to check the poor actinoids .. but interesting
nah no shit
its 6d1
google is messed up
see the image beside it it states 6d1
prolly gotta do with the excited state or sumn stuff
cause radioactive elements
hmm i checked a few sites it says 7p1 or 6d1 interesting
but tbh i wouldnt really bother with lawrencium electronic config atm from study pov

but depends on how you place it

christian simulator
cubism
it's a game where you delete heresy
I have experienced that in Minecraft
found out everything is 3d and nothing 2d exists
lol
name a thing that's 2d
the singularity of a rotating black hole
Graphene
the screen you're looking at
it still has height
it's like impossible to have 0 atomic thin
axe lady always leaves me confused by refering to weird stuff
Drawings have thickness
i used my atomic ruler
So that's 3d
hello wnb
what
Lmao true
I mean, a singularity is an infinitesimally small point, but points can't rotate
so when a black hole that has mass and angular momentum exists, the math says the singularity expands into a circle with infinitesimally small thickness and height
i get used to it
hence the name "ringularity" you may hear it by
ah shit i'ma go back
i have heard of ringulartiy
yo pp is an infinitesimally small point
I have heard of spaghettification
spaghettification is the fun part usually, yeah
getting disassembled into an atomic wide stream of matter by the tidal forces of an inwardly collapsing space-time
caterpillars
damn
I wonder how time operates in a black hole

uhh it seems to be only reversing the time
very different actually
I mean we don't exactly know what's inside a black hole
I can explain here
wow i'm in the black hole now i can change time
caught in 4k
It's a portal to another dimension
so you know how time is constantly flowing forward and space is a free dimension you can move around in?
bruh
yeah
space and time interchange moment
that filips in a black hole
ye
brb i'ma jump into black hole and tell you all
space becomes inevitable and time-like, you will be crushed into tiny bits
good luck comrade
time becomes free and you can flow in it like space
no, more like the temporal and spacial dimensions switch roles
Yeah you are thrown away by a white hole to the 4th dimension
no?
so you can move freely in time
sad no one did that, it's fine
i'm atoms anyway i can transform myself back in another dimension
for a rotating or charged black hole, you would have to move inside the inner event horizon existing inside the black hole's outer horizon first and cross back out to enter the time-reversed black hole (or white hole)
I don't understand how universe was created from "None".
for a schwarzschild black hole, the white hole exists infinitely far in the past, so you can never reach it
because nothing is not a thing, it turns to be a thing because of the nothingness
I have heard that time stops at the event horizon
I never knew this about schwarzschild black holes
shitposting
not for you, but for anyone observing you
I don't understand what you mean
name something that's none
Yeah that is what I meant
not stops.. it just gets infinitely slow
I remember reading that the universe didn't come from nothing, but an infinitesimal, infinitely dense point
I'll try to check if there's a source for that
for you, time and space flip, but to the outside observer you seem to freeze as the photons going off your body can't escape the black hole and get redshifted into oblivion
they were the og black holes, one with mass, but no charge or rotation
they're eternal, they've always existed and will continue existing indefinitely
so they see your past as their present
it wasn't. the big bang isn't the point at which the universe was created it's the point at which we are no longer able to apply out current understand of physics to whatever the universe was back then
there's no such thing in reality though, kerr (rotating) black holes are the ones you usually see
But Stephen Hawking explained how universe originated from nothing
someone's watched one too many pop science yt vids /lh
What?
you could say they saw the last slivers of your possible influences in this region of space
that is not something Stephen hawking did
who knows? 😛
that was entirely intentional and we both know it
He did it was forcasted on Television
Not Yt
indeed
lol
that's a really interesting topic, any sources I could look into so I read more about it?
thats a question u dont ask without being stolen from
i am almost certain that never happened
i wonder if i can use my comp to simulate universe
In this course, we'll explore how Black Holes form and grow, and even how we might make our own, as well as exploring Hawking Radiation, the possible holographic nature of our universe, and what we know about the Event Horizon.
no
pbs space time is a great channel, simple as that
hmm, okay
i probably can, but that also mean that i might be living in a simulation
axe lady.. out of curiosity.. which subject did u do ur majors in?
it cannot
to give you an idea of how much computational power it takes to even begin to simulate the universe google the millennium project
why is everyone in highschool
yes
is this when I namedrop the bekenstein bound? no? alright then
because when member gets in to college/university they get automatically banned
wait nvm akarys isn't banned yet
This was the show and he said in one of the episodes.
https://youtu.be/qAk2cUlx0_o
trank
i'ma ask in community meta why isn't akarys banned yet
hmm forward to univs in speed
find the clip and ill believe you
or ask akarys himself
who's getting banned for going to college? XD
we can ban aph next year
ot1 feels nice without the slow mode ._.
this is why both ot1 and ot2 are objectively better than ot0
i got banned by the university, i cant go, so i wont be banned
ot0 becomes chaotic real fast
that's what you get when you allow people to talk about whatever
which is why it's the only ot channel with slowmode on
did u introduce the authorities to ur sense of humor
I fell asleep and my spaghetti froze
that's better than having it burnt
fair, but I hate cold spaghetti lmfao

that reminds me.. how many hours since last sleep?
Well I was previously about 30 hours without any sort of sleep
but then I fell asleep around 7, woke back up at 10
so now it's been 3 hours
I mean, you're not as careless as I am, who put his omelettes on the frying pan and then forgot to add spices and salt before adding
it tasted horrid
what? I add the spices and salt when I crack the eggs on the pan
and it was overcooked
I keep the temperature high when I add it, but I keep it from the sides so it doesn't solidify there
hmmmm
my eggs taste bland without 'em lol
i mean being honest.. it doesnt taste unedible.. i have done that mistake quite a few times
I once originally cooked the egg then added the seasoning lol
If you don't have eggs cooked perfectly they are usually nasty
yikes
dry? I like mine a bit wet
you remind me of the time I overcooked it and forgot to add seasoning
just enough to melt when you bite into it, but not mush
works works.. i mean bland eggs + ketchup + oregano.. kwik breakfast/lunch/dinner
lmfao
but i am an indian :/
brand new sentence
now give me my internet points
One day may the culinary gods punish you
bbq sauce better
ketchup is one of the best friends of kwik food
lol
...
I didn't found the exact video but I found this
https://www.livescience.com/63854-stephen-hawking-says-no-god.html
how do you go from a pp emoji to lol
huh
:((
I see no culinary gods up here
other than
me
(and gordon ramsay)
and people who get complimented by gordon
until you under cook something and ramsay sends you to the depths of hell
Can we take a second to appreciate nice and spicy food
that too, you kinda get set into minor deity status by that alone
yes
Like, Thai hot/Mexican spicy food is the best thing to be made
begone undercooker
damn
spicy chicken is my weakness
dump half the shaker in lmfao
A good rule of thumb is a pinch is enough
ok sure ill accept that he said it
that doesn't make it true though
and it certainly doesn't give any meaningful definition to the big bang
I have grown up eating spicy food for my whole life
the same energy as "two shots of vodka"
it feels bad when you add salt and then the whole saltshaker just falls right into the food
simple fix, get one of those wii remote straps and affix it to the shaker
Ok I am not saying you need to beleive that.
modern problems require modern solutions
you mean modern problems require 2006 solutions
It sounds weird to me aswell
it's a lot more reasonable and helpful to say "before the big bang we don't know what the universe was like and we have neither the mathematical models nor the physical evidence to figure it out" than to say "the big bang is when the universe magically started existing"
u are old
lmao
It's been so long since I touched a wii
I'm still mad at all the kids who had the sleek black model lol
Btw our own universe defies the laws of science

It's called quantum world
I'm for the big bang tbh
sounds like a very reasonable theory
at least more plausible than the others
there are no laws of science
science is a methodology for discovering truths about the world from observable properties of the same
Sounds like god nuking his atom bomb
Tbf if you can sit there and tell me that some all powerful god decided that one day he wanted other people to exist then Idk I can't trust that
let's not say it was god, let's take religion out of this for a second
To destroy previously existing universe and create new one
say it was a dense grouping of particles that lead to the creation of the now known universe
which then gave habitable environments
I'm not saying it was, in fact I was saying it's def not
for us and other species to exist on
We don't defy any sort of law, the goal of physics is to understand the mechanics of the universe.
If it's different than we expected, that's not because the universe is wrong, that's because we were wrong.
quantum mechanics doesn't dEfY tHe LaWs oF sCiEnCe, it just works in a way that is different to hoe classical (macro) physics works. just because we don't understand quite how the two interact doesn't mean there's an inconsistency. clearly there is no inconsistency, because that's how the universe is. the universe cannot possibly violate the "laws" we set out - rather, the only reasonable explanation in such a circumstance is that our "laws" are incorrect.
and we were wrong many times
so many times XD
we still are
I think that if the laws of science are "wrong", then they will be changed
I know and this why we want to make a new Theory of Everything
yeah, it's very wrong to name something the "law of <insert name>"
because it may be bound to change in the near future
good luck uniting GR and quantum field theories mate lmao
the big bang theory isn't what you think it is
loop quantum gravity is pretty cool though as a possible lead
Lmao idk
string theory is... string theory
please elaborate
I mean yeah you know what it is
I never really understood that theory
No seriously, a theory of everything would be wonderful, so I genuinely hope he does lmfao
the big bang theory just states that the universe used to be concentrated into a very small point and that around that time our current understanding of physics begins to stop being a useful model of reality
the big bang theory says nothing about what actually happened or why
it had multiple propositions, none of which I understood
yes it would be nice
special relativity works fine with quantum mechanics?
the tl;dr of string theory is that particles are more accurately modeled as string-like objects than as discrete points
Honestly my first dream was to become astrophysicist and now I am thinking I was very wrong.
string theory tries to explain the behavior of particles and their forces by using cosmic strings
these infinitesimally small... things that vibrate. Different mode of vibration? different particle.
that's really cool
It's very elegant, but has a serious amount of drawbacks
like how a guitar string can produce different sounds when struck differently
like how you need 11 dimensions to make it work >_>
yes
so that would make it difficult to prove, I assume
very
just because a theory is expanded to explain things better doesn't mean that the older theory was "wrong" tho
most of these theories are difficult to prove
If we are in 3D world then how a 4D world will look like
define 4D
yes
all of hawking's theories are unproven and, with our current technology, as of yet unprovable
4 dimensions
isn't 4d time?
What would the fourth dimension look like?
four spatial dimensions and one time dimension, or three spatial dimensions with the fourth being time?
Yeah some people say that
we're in a 4d universe (maybe)
In a sense, yeah
4th dimension can mean "4th spatial dimension"
time is hard
the arrow of time doesn't make sense to us yet
i think second one.. and gravity was 5th i think?
define time
no, gravity is more so a consequence of matter and energy bending space-time than its own dimension
I know some people consider time to be the 4th dimension but I want to what a world of 4 spatial dimensions would look like
I believe it was said, I may be wrong, that the 6th dimension can allow you to go back into the past or forward into the future
Gravity is not a force as stated by Newton
while the 4th was the concept of time itself
gravity is funnily enough not a property of matter
rather, it's just a funny little quirk caused by time dilation
i remember seeing some video on string theory stating gravity as 5th dimension?
never said it was a property of matter, though that is true
or maybe i dont remember correctly
Gravity is bending of space time fabric as stated by Einstein
i was more elaborating than contradicting
wunderbar
ehhhhhhh
What?
gravity is an emergent property of the fact that time dilation exists
Ok you know everything
though explaining gravity with the concept of "oh shit, space-time can BEND?!" than "oh shit, time can GO DIFFERENT RATES?!" I feel is a bit easier to understand
all this bending of spacetime nonsense is not much more than a pop science metaphor
But Einstein's theory gave very accurate results while Newton's theory failed
i yet feel explaining it as force is easier
newton's theory isn't a failure, it simply didn't account for variables that were unknown at the time
metaphors are easier to understand, but the problem is that understanding a physics metaphor rarely gets you closer to understanding the actual phenomenon
especially for quantim mechanics
How to faithfully represent general relativity ? Is the image of the rubber sheet accurate ? What is the curvature of time ? All these answers in 11 minutes !

newton's theories are still very good; we use them all the time
is
not completely correct but easy
Greetings
greetings
Ok I like this way of explaining failure. I have heard this many times.
correction: einstein's theories are more demonstrably accurate on a cosmic scale, while newton's are easier and just as accurate on a local scale
ket pfp
Right, but it's not like I'm teaching a college level course. If I was, I would eventually explain it that way but the metaphor does well enough because going through time dilation jargon is not worth the confusion it can add rather than fix
also rick.. please stop reminding me of the horrible expression with that pfp
:p
I said for one specific case were it didn't gave accurate results while Einstein's theory did
einstein's theory isn't that it's a bending of spacetime tho
einstein's theory is that gravity is an emergent property of the fact that time dilation exists
mhm
if time dilation is the axiom, gravity is the theorem
My brain's gonna explode. There will be another big bang
axioms, yay.
My mind is currently running through math like no tomorrow lol
:p
axioms are a formal systems thing
yes, but I associate them with math most because of previous experience
Everyone has a different idea of space time. So I think it's stupid to discuss it.
some ideas are more useful in figuring out how to use math to model the universe than others
Ok but we are not going to make theory of our own by discussing here.
nobody is trying to though
insert virgin schrodinger equation vs. chad dirac equation joke here
im just presenting a more accurate description of the currently accepted theories
Yeah so I think the discussion was almost useless
or path integrals actually
braket 😭
feynman has done a lot >_>
schrödingers an asshole killing cats like that
how dare you release toxic gas on atom decay
you know schrödinger and einstein famously had an argument on whether poison gas or explosives would be a better way to kill the cat
Lmao
actually? lmao
i forget
One is certainly less messy than the other, that's for sure
this sounds like a reddit thread and it scares me
r/reddit
why do you want to kill the cat in the first place
did nobody tell schrödinger abt gas masks
lmao
