would've been fine but I forgot to set ownership and after moving a whole boatload of files was like "Ah yes, I'm finished now, I can delete the old user"

so I went in, deleted the old user, and then realized what I did when I tried to edit my emacs directory and dind't have permission

If you're in the US, "how much trouble do FOIA requests cause you" (with a lead up question or two so it doesn't come out of nowhere) would be an interesting question to ask. Mostly because it will let you judge their attitude towards transparency.

It seems like there are two possible reasons that it ignored the code block and went with a mention:

The mention is parsed on the client side, and not on the discord servers. This means it will be sent from my device in the <@ID> format, which doesn’t think contains `
The discord servers change it directly when it’s received

I realize I am an hour late, but: tbh, arch was such a pain to install and get working. I couldnt get it working on my laptop, but manjaro took like 2 minutes to set up. So worth it haha.
