How long does factory resetting a pc take if i choose to delete everything (it's an SSD)

Should be pretty quick, because the disk doesn't have to do much, just overwrite a small portion related to encryption

(That is, if you use disk encryption and the SSD supports ATA Secure Erase. But any consumer SSD does these days, pretty much.

It does a “local reinstall” by default, which is just Windows reinstalling itself, which can only do so much.
You keep the same Windows installation on the same partition, it just deletes your user folder, everything in program files, the registry, etc, etc, and sends you back to the setup.

“Cloud reinstall” downloads Windows again to help make sure corrupted files get replaced, but it’s still just replacing the existing Windows files, you’re not getting a new partition.

resetting doesnt delete dell drivers if and only if you haven't reinstalled windows, since OEMs make changes to Windows' defaults so that the apps/drivers are included

aka you didn't wipe the OS that your device came with out of the box

Recently, I have been getting suspicious emails, and I want to understand how to open them safely in gmail in a web browser.

My main question is: how can I make sure that simply opening an email does not let the sender track that I viewed it? For example, I have read that moving an email to the spam folder may disable tracking, so that it's safe to open there as long as you do not click any links. Is that still true, if ever?

I have also seen some mentions solutions, that are apparently a bit inconvenient at least if permanently applied. Still, if one of them is actually the safest option, I am willing to use it when I need to check an email.

The way people can see which email has been opened is by embedding images that are loaded from some external server. You can turn off automatically showing external images (for exactly this reason) in the Gmail settings (Settings -> See all settings -> scroll to Images section -> "Ask before displaying external images" -> Save)

I would usually avoid opening questionable messages, but circumstances do not always allow that. This is connected to an ongoing issue already being handled, and I may need to check future emails without signaling to the sender that they were opened.

AFAIK emails being opened can only be tracked in two ways:

• via tracking pixels or other images. This is what I was talking about above. As long as you don't click "allow images" or click on any links (they could be personalized and expose you opening the mail) you're safe.
• via read receipts. That's a little-used flag you can set on emails to kindly ask the receiver to acknowledge opening the mail. I don't know of a single email program (other than possibly configured for company accounts) that returns them. AFAICT gmail doesn't support them at all unless you're using an organization (work/school) account.

Calendar invites. If an email contains an .ics invite, Gmail sometimes auto-adds tentative events to your calendar, which can in rare cases signal receipt. You can turn this off under Calendar settings → Event settings → "Automatically add invitations" → "No, only show invitations to which I have responded."

I'm not sure if this is actually used as an attack vector

But I guess disabling it can't hurt

Intel has CPUs that support both DDR4 and DDR5, you can see for benchmarks of the same CPU with different generations of RAM.

This is a pretty decent build. I'd swap that SSD for a much bigger one, though. Space is space, and you can get terabyte ssds for not so much now. Plus windows is going to start pushing limits on a 256gb drive
