oh you might like my new stellody app then when it's got it's bugs fixed and ironed out which I'm currently right this second working on. It uses MusicBrainz API and Spotify dev API to find related artists to local music and genres and creates genre labelled and numbered playlists in spotify. If you don't subsequently want to use spotify you can import into other music streaming services

It's a play on words: Stellar and Melody. I originally called it GenreGenius but it appears that every man and his dog on the internet uses that name for apps and branding so that's not at all unique.

It functions and behaves correctly. I can tail it, I can cat it, open it in helix and browse the whole thing fine

Have you checked for non-printable characters? I don't use zsh, but all zsh history problems online suggest fixing history by using strings to grab history from "corrupted" file - so that suggests it's some non-printable characters that gets inserted somewhere in the history for some reason...

"Shouldn't be" doesn't mean something didn't add it. That's the point of corruption - something weird happened.
Check whether strings on "corrupted" history dumps a working history like those online solutions say. If yes, I'd diff old and new version and see what it complains about.
If no, I'd probably play with cutting the "corrupted" history (head/tail it in portions) and try to pinpoint where corruption lays, then analyse it closely - is it the older history that got corrupted or the newer part? Since it reappears regularly, maybe there's some command or pasting you sometimes do that has some codepoints terminal allows but later zsh doesn't like...? Etc.

Surname usually goes by father's side, as traditionally women changed surnames to husband's surname when getting married so parents+kids just matched.

Graphs are only defined by their nodes and the connections between them. Relative positions, shapes, etc. are just something that happen when you want to draw them.
