basically you see here of name is in a different color because the lsp tells it is a parameter? in contrast to the other picture where the lsp is off

with the lsp it knows name and new_id are different kinds of vars and can apply different colors.
without the lsp it just labels both as "variable"

and then the lsp can add additional tokens on top of it.
