No one taught me how to love

🥴

deft spade
#

2 more months and I will be 14

tardy rain
#

Havent even been through puberty, maybe tone it down a notch

clear plume
#

Take your time, relationships don’t just come yk

deft spade
#

Maybe not mentally
But physically yes
I am taller
More hairy etc.

#

Sweaty

#

I think I just started puberty

deft spade
#

Also I don't want to break my 2nd rule

#

2nd rule: I will live alone and I will die alone (meaning: NO LOVE IN LIFE)

clear plume
#

That’s not very nice.

tardy rain
#

Are you intentionally trying to maximize cringe

clear plume
#

Sir lancebot is just being nice

clear plume
deft spade
#

Yes

#

@clear plume I am not a child

#

I am a dumb child

#

You forgot the word dumb

deft spade
#

How is that nice

deft spade
#

Also why do hearts represent love???
That's an organ that pumps blood
Some people eat hearts
Surgeons sometimes do heart surgeries
Some people track their heart beat
🫀 This is a heart
Not this❤️

harsh tundra
#

It's because hearbeat increases when you're excited so people thought love comes from heart

deft spade
#

🤯

carmine apex
#

as for the symbol ❤️ : it's not known for certain, but the prevailing theory is that the it represents the seed of silphium plant, which was used as a contraceptive in ancient times. Used so much that it went extinct, actually

tranquil iron
#

where does love come from if not from the heart?

clear plume
#

Your mind ig

tranquil iron
#

heart

#

heart heart heart

#

hmm

deft spade
#

Love is just a hormone

#

In my opinion
That is not healthy

clear plume
#

How can you talk about something being good for you or bad for you if you've never experienced it

deft spade
#

Hmm

clear plume
#

This is inherantently bad argument from me, but my point is that you need to expereince love before you talk about it

#

One day you're going to look back on this chat and think "damn I was such an idiot"

#

I used to tell myself I would never EVER get a BF (when I was your age) but ive been with someone for the past few months and ive never been happier

deft spade
#

I think it's not healthy because it literally bombs your brain with dopamine and oxytocin
That's like many nukes are dropped on your brain
And you just become crazy

tranquil iron
deft spade
#

Yeah

deft spade
#

Truth is hidden from you

tranquil iron
clear plume
#

^

tranquil iron
#

and dead is the opposite of healthy

#

thus, healthy

#

logic ftw!

deft spade
tranquil iron
#

it's not a matter of opinion

clear plume
#

Check this out

tranquil iron
#

those who love are statistically healthier, happier and live longer,

deft spade
#

Haha very funny

clear plume
#

There is literally only facts being brought up here

tranquil iron
#

I hope that someday @deft spade finds love understands

deft spade
#

My grandpa that I never met (because he died many, many years ago before I was born)
Loved my grandma so much (my grandma was his wife)
And then he died because of heart disease
He died very young

tranquil iron
#

it's truly sad that lack of affection and human connection so often leads to bitterness which makes emotional fullfilment even less likely

deft spade
clear plume
#

Anything is bound to have outliers

#

and thats just how life is

tranquil iron
clear plume
#

even if you flip a coin 1,00.000 times, you won't get heads and tails each 500,000 times

clear plume
tranquil iron
#

oh

#

well, he's in for a few fun years soon, lol

clear plume
#

Yup lollll

deft spade
#

Why are you guys too kind

clear plume
deft spade
#

What if I am 13 years old?
You should be strict and punish me because I will learn from punishing

clear plume
#

Im not even that much older than you, im 16, 17 in May, but trust me babes, you will change your mind on this soon

tranquil iron
#

I'm starting to deal with my taxes 😦

deft spade
tranquil iron
deft spade
#

When my father was a child he was punished for nothing
Just to learn how to live

deft spade
#

He told me
And his parents told me
And his grandma told me

tranquil iron
#

but you said they died

clear plume
#

Back in the old day we used to kill gay people because they were gay

deft spade
#

No
My grandpa from mom's side died

clear plume
#

Does that make it ok?

#

Right. Just because something has been happening for a while, or happened in the past, doenst make it correct

tranquil iron
#

nor does it mean that it happened to you

deft spade
#

I don't know
My father is hater of lgbtq+
I am not hater nor lover of them
I have no comments for them nor anyone else

#

We are all humans

tranquil iron
#

are we?

deft spade
#

Why should I love or hate someone?

tranquil iron
#

it's not something you have control over

#

what you do have control over is how you respond to your emotions

deft spade
#

Oh
Emotions
It's still developing
I don't know what to do nor what to say

#

My body is still developing
And you smart people know that

deft spade
#

That's what parents taught me

shut ermine
#

ey bud its okay to not feel physical attraction, that falls into the asexual spectrum, not very much talked about but thats a thing that exists

#

but yeah the pressure of society telling you that you HAVE to feel something hurts lol that was a lot of my life

@acoustic current

acoustic current
#

yeah?

#

well it's 11.30 im gonna study a bit and then go sleep

#

got anything important to say?

tropic sail
#

I had a question about what I should make for my cs project in school

#

Any ideas?

acoustic current
#

Do you have to submit a project in high school

acoustic current
#

Since I'm a freshman too

#

In India

#

...

tropic sail
#

Which class?

#

11th right?

acoustic current
#

No freshman means 9th

#

...

#

11th is junior

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

10th is sophomore

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

So you just have to do something with Python?

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

If it's for beginner level stuff I'd do something simple around 200 lines

#

If you know OOP try to do something with that

acoustic current
#

Which class are you in

tropic sail
#

11th

acoustic current
#

Python right

tropic sail
#

Yea

acoustic current
#

Look up the syllabus for 12th grade python online

#

Just do something on one of the topics

#

Something practical

#

Like say an unit convertor

tropic sail
#

Ik that there are functions next year

acoustic current
#

For metric to imperial

#

Functions?

#

....

#

really?

tropic sail
tropic sail
acoustic current
acoustic current
#

Functions is really basic

tropic sail
#

String, tuple, dictionary

#

Boolean algebra

acoustic current
#

that's fine but like if you don't even know functions yet

#

what kinda project are you supposed to make

tropic sail
#

The basic stuff

acoustic current
#

Try to make something that utilises something major that you've learnt this year I guess

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

ask chatgpt or something

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

mmhm

#

just google ideas probably better advice than mine

tropic sail
#

I'll see what I can make

acoustic current
acoustic current
#

I suppose you'd just use dicts

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

Ooh I don't know how you do that stuff

#

If you don't even know functions yet

tropic sail
#

What have they taught you btw?

acoustic current
#

I don't know what you're supposed to do aside printing

#

In school?

#

Nearly nothing lol

#

If else statements

#

Simple data types

#

I learnt stuff online

#

Last year

tropic sail
tropic sail
#

Elif as well

acoustic current
#

Got pretty much most of the basics you need for most libraries

tropic sail
#

While loops

acoustic current
#

In 2 months

#

So yeah

#

I'm currently making discord bots with dpy

#

Later this year I want to do some GUI

tropic sail
#

That's all you need in the basics?

acoustic current
#

I learnt a bit of tkinter but I forgot everything now

acoustic current
#

one sec

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

Yeah

#

Tkinter

#
- Primitive data types
- Operators
- Data structures
- Importing
- Variables, namespace and scope
- String formatting
- OOP
- Control flow
- Exception handling
- Function definitions
- Classes, objects, attributes and methods
- Console usage, interpreters and environments
- Decorators

Useful to know:
- Asyncio basics
- What is blocking?
- Logging
- knowing how to read docs properly
#

Other than the useful to know part

#

And some stuff

tropic sail
#

Ik importing so know worries about that

acoustic current
#

This is what I'd call the basics

#

If you know this stuff you're ready for most libs I'd say

#

OOP is really important

tropic sail
#

Data structures, classes and function definitions

acoustic current
#

If I were you

#

I'd not rely on school to learn to code

tropic sail
#

Are what's left

acoustic current
#

But you have JEE next year

#

So...

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

You're better off studying pcm I guess

tropic sail
#

Yep

acoustic current
#

Otherwise I'd spend a month or two refining these basics

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

BTW

#

You don't have python 1st year

#

In india I think

#

C or C++ I think

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

In CS?

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

At least not in the first semester

#

Yeah probably

tropic sail
#

Well we do

acoustic current
#

How do you know that already

#

First year as in first year of college right

tropic sail
#

Next year we have MYSQL next year

acoustic current
#

I guess syllabuses are googlable

tropic sail
acoustic current
#

High school starts from 9th grade

tropic sail
#

I don't call it junior college

acoustic current
#

9th: Freshman
10th: Sophomore
11th: Junior
12th: Senior
1st year of college, 2nd year and so on

#

The high school terms aren't really important in India tbf

#

Nothing much changes when you enter high school

Oh yeah for sure, most everywhere is, AMR is just the most visible.

#

Falck also sucks ass

foggy jungle
#

I'd be surprised if a Fire Medic was pulling in anywhere close to six figures in most counties.

prisma holly
#

Like I said, I'm west coast.

#

Big-ish city, too, so everything here's hella expensive, and people make the money to match.

foggy jungle
#

Pay here is just shy of $50,000 for a Fire Med with 5 years of cert. It's emaciated. And that's in a larger city. (Midwest)

prisma holly
#

Yiiiiiikes

foggy jungle
#

That pay scale seems in line with an NP working on an ACLS bus for an org that can pay to retain that capability.

prisma holly
#

AMR here starts at 60k for a medic card

foggy jungle
prisma holly
#

Admittedly they only go up to like 63

foggy jungle
#

I enjoyed working as a Medic, I had to drop it because AMR is one of the only two organizations in my county that retains Medics (the other being fire) and job competition is wicked hard for the fire slots as a result.

prisma holly
#

Okay so I just checked my city's website

#

Fire here makes $50/hr with a medic card after 5yrs

foggy jungle
#

Reportedly, there's some medics working in some of the ER's now too though.

prisma holly
#

Dang, slumming it with the basics as ER techs?

#

Or are they working vascular access etc

foggy jungle
#

A.) I think working in the ER is very good experience in general, especially if you're working within a trauma center or you're at a busier hospital in general.
B.) I honestly don't know how they're being utilized, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were offsetting the nurse shortage here in more specialized scenarios.

#

That work isn't necessarily above a Medic, we have a larger scope of practice, so it can be a good environment to utilize skills we may get very limited experience with otherwise.

prisma holly
#

Oh 100%, ER is good experience -- I've just not met a ton of paramedics who would drop their scope down to that of a basics.

foggy jungle
#

I don't think it's a reduction of scope; you're afforded more opportunities in that environment as a Medic.

#

Your scope as an EMT-B or A in ER isn't as wide because it's not supposed to be.

prisma holly
#

Hospitals here say that they'll only let you practice at -B

#

Could very well be nursing unions trying to stop the hospitals from edging out RNs by hiring medics though

foggy jungle
#

Yeah, unfortunately I'm not as intimately familiar with the details to glean on what their actual scope of practice is, just that we have a regional nurse shortage, and that anecdotally I recall another medic having a pretty broad scope within the TC.

prisma holly
#

I wouldn't be surprised considering you said midwest -- I know the nursing unions aren't as strong out there as they are on the coasts.

foggy jungle
#

That could be a direct result of the policy here though, which is already pretty broad and allows for a lot of leeway in treating prehospital.

prisma holly
#

Oh yeah? Good local protocols?

#

Mine are pretty reasonable for a basic scope, can't start IVs like you can in Colorado, but...

foggy jungle
#

Pretty much carte blanche; our county is enormous and I think establishing more restrictive policies would probably result in a lot of unnecessary headache in prehospital treatment, if downright not just killing people.

prisma holly
#

Oooh spicy

#

Do they let medics RSI?

#

Or is that still reserved for flight there

This is a shitty answer but I don't actually know anymore. The flight med service was propped up pretty substantially since I left (It's been about 9 years since I was back in my hometown). When I was originally working and not just maintaining my cert, yes-- medics could RSI.

prisma holly
#

That's pretty great, honestly

#

I know a lot of places don't allow for RSI unless you're flight for... some unknowable reason

#

Well

#

I do know the reason

#

and it's because a lot of medics don't keep up their practice with intubation as much as they should, because our standards don't dictate it

foggy jungle
#

Scope of practice and policy varies so dramatically that it's almost hard to conceptualize anymore.

prisma holly
#

they let EMTs here place supraglottics, I have quite literally never seen some of my coworkers do more than the 2 or 3 placements a year they need to maintain their cert.

#

skills lab time is free, yknow?

foggy jungle
#

I mean-- you should be competent within your scope of practice and policy, but it's hard to encompass everything you might do in the field within a year.

prisma holly
#

Should and are are two different things yk?

#

Like most people are good at staying competent at shit, but I dunno. I feel like when you're taking somebody's airway, you should probably invest a little more time in making sure you're able to do that above the norm for your training.

#

High risk procedures should get practiced more, period.

#

Trying to find the minimum number of intubations practiced per year for my county right now but the page is not super helpful.

foggy jungle
#

Like I said, that's a departmental standard-- your department establishes the interval they're comfortable with you practicing in. I wouldn't lose sleep at night over that-- if the training standards dictate that I'm qualified to that minimal level and I cannot perform in the field, that's embarrassing organizationally but more or less indicative of shitty departmental standards.

prisma holly
#

That's fair

foggy jungle
#

Or a local oversight board, if you have one.

prisma holly
#

I'm still in my idealist phase where I want the state health board to come down and mandate education :P

foggy jungle
#

That would subsequently require additional pay, in reality. If the expectation is for you to be able to reliably perform difficult intubations (Which, don't misunderstand me, you should be able to do) then the training needs to support that level of qualification, and the pay needs to back up the continual training you're receiving.

prisma holly
#

Also ig leaning on shitty department standards as a reason to not practice doesn't quite sit right with me, if I fucked up because I wasn't as good as I should have been, I dunno how well I could sleep, yknow?

prisma holly
foggy jungle
#

Because your department has the burden of training you to that level. I don't expect my basics to start lines-- there are situations where that would be an exceptionally useful, don't get me wrong, but policy dictates that even with oversight, prehospital I cannot let them start a line.

#

That strikes me as a likely wide standard aside from specific regions, in fact. But that's neither here nor there.

#

It's all about scope separation-- when you start blurring that line, it makes it hard to delineate actual responsibility.

prisma holly
#

nods

#

Ultimately you are practicing under your medical director's license.

#

So

#

ig there's always that to fall back on

foggy jungle
#

Correct. I get what you're saying, and morally I agree, but professionally I think it's difficult to advocate for without potentially creating environments where it's difficult to assign blame and get to the root cause of... well, virtually any mishap.

prisma holly
#

Yeah. I know the UK has things wrapped up pretty nice and neat with a bow on top in terms of paramedics being considered independent clinicians, but also it's a bachelors degree there.

foggy jungle
#

Yeah, the reality is America is absolutely gargantuan in comparison, so I think we'd face a staffing shortage if we started setting the expectation that medics should have a B.S. in Paramedic Medicine or whatever.

prisma holly
#

Yeah

#

Associates should be the bare minimum though, tbqh.

foggy jungle
#

I... really don't understand why vocational associates aren't assigned after acquisition of NREMT-P.

#

You have to be in a program that actually supports the AS.

prisma holly
#

I think most (all?) programs near me give you an AAS after completion of your medic program.

#

I know that my medic program will give me one.

foggy jungle
#

Not here, REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGIF

prisma holly
#

;-;

foggy jungle
#

I think ultimately it ends up just being paper lipservice, but it would be nice for translation and transition outside the field if someone decided to go elsewhere.

prisma holly
#

I mean also it's knowledge base, yknow?

#

If you have an associates, you hopefully spent time learning things like in-depth anatomy & physiology, cellular biology, etc.

foggy jungle
#

Your knowledge base shouldn't really change that much between qualification with and without an associates.

#

Looking at one of our local AAS programs, it's essentially the same shit with some tack on classes and general education concepts.

#

I don't think medics need to know the principles of macroeconomics.

prisma holly
#

Eh, fair, at least in terms of your skills knowledge, but in terms of related information that's not mandatory to know but helpful to know... I feel like a college degree makes that more of a reality

prisma holly
#

My program makes me take some math, some writing, and a couple of other general courses though, so that I'm "well rounded," or something like that.

#

Hm, yeah

#

See, that makes sense.

foggy jungle
#

Ultimately these are the same classes I sat through in the training program, just sans the fluff that's required to fill out the AAS.

#

I'm actually fairly confident most of my Gen Ed's for science in my current degree program are derived from course credit in my certification program.

#

But I've suffered from a crisis of identity, so I'm not really sure what my actual full unabridged transcript looks like anymore or where credits are coming and going.

#

Also, just to make sure I'm representing myself more holistically, I was certified and worked for AMR, for about 11 months-- before it struck me as not really worth it pay wise to continue down that path. I joined the military and they paid for CEU's, but I eventually left the US and that was no longer practical. There are certainly people with a more comprehensive background-- and frankly, I'm not sure I'd say 11 months is enough to hold a qualified opinion.

prisma holly
#

nods

#

I've heard the military is pretty decent for doing cool shit as a medic

foggy jungle
#

I did some medical instruction (TCCC and CPR) and facilitated some unit programs with the medical group, but that was about it.

#

Ironically, the CPR and another program (SABC, self-aid/buddy care) were extremely basic in their content but were the justification for me maintaining my cert for so long lol

prisma holly
#

Aaaah

#

I've heard TCCC is fun

foggy jungle
#

TCCC-ASM is a snooze fest. TCCC-CLS is pretty cool. I took -MP but it was taught by Pararescue personnel who know infinitely more about the subject than I could ever even try to comprehend.

prisma holly
#

Oooh

#

okay what

#

combat medic gets surgical cric... but not ET?

foggy jungle
#

Think about the medical delineation between the two in the combat care context.

prisma holly
#

yeah I suppose so

#

one's a lot faster

#

And you're probably doing it on somebody who has an incredibly compromised airway

foggy jungle
#

If you're doing a surgical cric in the field, under fire, the person you're doing it on is probably going to die without immediate medical intervention. You don't have a lot of time to delineate the scope or try to land a tube.

prisma holly
#

May not be suitable for ET intubation

#

yeah

#

fair

foggy jungle
#

Better to make with the stabbing, and sort it out later KEKW

prisma holly
#

xD

#

Holy shit, combat cath and balloon?

#

what

#

"here let me just open up your femoral artery and place a balloon while getting shot at, no biggie"

foggy jungle
#

That's mostly limited to Pararescue (in the context of the Air Force).

#

Pararescue is special operations, for background.

prisma holly
#

Ye

#

One of the highest washout rate special forces schools iirc

#

Guys you call when other special forces get in a sticky spot

foggy jungle
#

Yeppers. Considering the environments they operate in, their scope of practice is more or less unlimited.

prisma holly
#

Shit, man

#

That's cray cray

#

Like

#

I get why it's like that

#

But like damn

#

The ridiculous level of knowledge you must have to be able to feel confident in REBOA in the field

foggy jungle
#

Don't quote me but I believe that TCCC-ARC is specifically directed towards doctors working in that capacity as well.

prisma holly
#

That would make more sense, yeah

foggy jungle
#

I'm not familiar with the content in the course-- I'm not even sure it exists anymore, I believe it's just TCCC-CP with an asterisk.

prisma holly
#

In a total of 44 OOH cases performed in both military and civilian setting, 70.4% were males (mean age 32 ± 9.5 STD) with 28 cases of use in penetrating injury which were primarily treated with Zone I REBOA, and 16 cases of blunt injury applications which primarily involved Zone III placement. Among all 44 cases, 25 (56.8%) received Zone I and 19 cases (43.2%) received Zone III REBOA with a median duration of 35 min (31.3–36 IQR). Overall survival was calculated to be 88.6%.
Shiiiiiiiit that's effective, too.

#

No wonder they let them do it

foggy jungle
#

Hard for it not to be effective, to be fair lol

prisma holly
#

I mean

#

Yeah

#

Fair

#

You're occluding the aorta with a balloon to increase blood pressure xD

foggy jungle
#

Parameterized to the 'cath landed where it should be' and 'i didn't slam the plunger down after the bleed stopped', conceptually it's not crazy high-reaching.

#

That sounds like I'm saying I'm confident I could do it-- to be clear that is not the case lol

prisma holly
#

I get what you're saying though

#

It's not that conceptually difficult to teach, because it can be a muscle-memory type procedure.

foggy jungle
#

Also, not to nitpick, more for clarification-- I'm not sure an increased blood pressure is the direct association you should be making with REBOA, more just hemostasis.

prisma holly
#

Oh really? I was linking increased BP -> better cerebrovascular perfusion and assuming that helped with mortality rates

#

Although increased hemostasis does make sense

foggy jungle
#

I'll admit that I don't know much about REBOA aside from acknowledging that it exists-- but from my understanding the primary mechanism is just 'catheter based hemostat'. Increased pressure is a mechanism of hemostasis.

prisma holly
#

Ahhhhh

#

Okay, that makes sense

#

So wait

#

Is that hemostasis causes an increase in pressure, because you aren't leaky anymore?

#

Or is it an increase in pressure helps create hemostasis by supplying more clotting factors to the leak

foggy jungle
#

The former, but the later assertion is also likely correct. I think the later assertion kind of implies that REBOA would be a temporary fix once hemostasis is achieved-- once that balloon is inflated you're not taking it out without surgical intervention.

#

You're preventing a massive bleed by occluding an aorta. That is going to increase blood pressure. But it's in the primary pursuit of stopping the bleed, increased perfusion in general is going to be a consequence of your actions.

#

He asserts, confidently, with a very tenuous grasp of the concept of REBOA in general.

prisma holly
#

Aaah

#

Okay, yeah, that makes sense

foggy jungle
#

Like in the most basic sense, applying a TQ for a bleed will increase blood pressure and perfusion, but you're applying the TQ to stop the bleed.

prisma holly
#

I will admit that I wasn't expecting to learn about hemostasis and aortic occlusion with a balloon when I signed into Discord tonight but it's a pleasant surprise :P

#

Yeah okay fair, I don't think I've thought through the mechanism behind a TQ beyond "crank it down enough and the blood stops comin' out"

prisma holly
#

bless. new channel name

foggy jungle
prisma holly
#

Lol true

foggy jungle
#

It's easy to get lost in the sauce when it comes to hemorrhage control.

prisma holly
#

Well, maybe than other "get a second one because the first didn't completely stop it"

foggy jungle
#

As your scope of practice expands, you get more tools to do it with. Often, your primary tool is your most effective anyway.

#

"Don't think about it too much, climb TQ's until you're out of room." is normally a fantastic blanket statement lol

prisma holly
#

xD it really is

foggy jungle
#

Anyway, I'm off to work on implementing very basic Python functionality after this discussion about a very high level concept. I'll struggle more with the former than the later.

When u guys get a video recommended on Youtube, before you click on it do you do these:

Floating Point Arithmetic
You may have noticed that when doing arithmetic with floats in Python you sometimes get strange results, like this:

>>> 0.1 + 0.2
0.30000000000000004

Why this happens
Internally your computer stores floats as binary fractions. Many decimal values cannot be stored as exact binary fractions, which means an approximation has to be used.

How you can avoid this
You can use math.isclose to check if two floats are close, or to get an exact decimal representation, you can use the decimal or fractions module. Here are some examples:

>>> math.isclose(0.1 + 0.2, 0.3)
True
>>> decimal.Decimal('0.1') + decimal.Decimal('0.2')
Decimal('0.3')

Note that with decimal.Decimal we enter the number we want as a string so we don't pass on the imprecision from the float.

For more details on why this happens check out this page in the python docs or this Computerphile video.

Kahoot let's students rate games after they are finished, and I found a way to influence that immensely with no consequences

#

After the game has started I log in with 14 other tabs, and do nothing. So it does not seem like there are extra people

#

Then after I bomb the review section negatively

#

Only one person has suspected me of this

#

And i simply labelled them as mentally unstable

#

Simple

this is why everyone should always ignore gamers they're either disingenuous or incorrect all the time about what they want in games lol

would be better than those stupid avatars, anyway

what would that solve? most kahoots are done in a school where everyone is in the same classroom

oh, I thought ip addresses were unique to each device

i guess it doesn't matter

yeah probably

how about birthdates and names from email associated to the web browser?

And how do you get rid of calluses from barbells

jk, but I personally wear gloves or some sort of padding to reduce them

jovial oriole

Okay

And if you want them gone, do not, under any circumstance, pick at them or destroy them

It might be a good idea to just put some bandaids over them and call it a day

@analog shale : fuzzy image is AES-ECB encrypted, random snow is AES-CBC. both encrypted images have their headers swapped with the original via

$ head -c 54 p1.bmp > header
$ tail -c +55 p2.bmp > body
$ cat header body > new.bmp
analog shale
#

what's the third one

carmine apex
#

that's the snow (borrowing name from TV static) - AES-CBC, although most (all?) non-ECB AES modes will look the same

discord's preview compression hurts the quality a little, and it has a noticeable moire pattern for tux, but the general idea is quite clear

I'm getting choice paralysis. Going to be trying to make a Riichi Mahjong game for web, and I'm stuck in "the hell should I use to make it" hell. Do I use something like Godot, do I use one of the JS frameworks like PixiJS or Phaser... Like it's going to be simple, just a 2d thing

I'm always against anything JavaScript

plucky ridge

Sure but it's web, hard to avoid it

And I'd likely be using TypeScript instead anyway

JS should be alright

Hmm... then I guess it's which of the game engines to use. pixijs or phaser

Or if you want to go with something minimalist like fix error, Javascript and HTMLCanvas will do

I want something to make it easy. I don't need fine granular controls

I would go with p5.js, it is quite simple

though I am not sure how good is it at games

#

curling is far harder, you've got the force of the weight acting at a distance from where your muscles are applying force. I know it doesn't seem like far but it's the same reason why just holding something light with your arm out straight can be harder than it seems, something something torque

quick ledge
#

you also use less number of muscles I think

Curling dangerous
