I was watching the games of the AlphaZero- Stockfish match, among all the games, I found this one of the best games ever played! AlphaZero places it's king on e3! Then sacrifices a piece and then goes on to win the game. P.S: No analysis because it's played between 2 engines. Just enjoy the beauty of...
@sour willow can we just play lichess pls

doesn't work in power shell
sfc /scannow && dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth && sfc /scannow
Closest easy equivalent I found was the same but with semi-colons
This process will take some time.
Yeah but it doesn't interfere with you doing anything
Yes it does
I've never had it conflict
What do you expect me to do?
Not watch the counter?
HA
i've never had windows mess up in any way i would need to run sfc till now
gg
What if something happens and I miss it?
messed up bad
I'm on Windows insider
I fuck up my Windows every week
in 10 years of using windows generally i haven't had any issues other than 1 graphical bug with the new taskbar weather thing they added which i fixed by disabling it
why on insider tho 😮
Why not?
its less stable?
lol
virtual box update broke all my vms including my arco one so
now i only have 1 i managed to re-build which is ubuntu
😦
I've never broken an Arch server
My Ubuntu servers crashed and burned every dist-upgrade
But now I use Kubernetes, per Rabbit's glowing recommendation, and life is simpler
restarting pc works, thanks
i've never broken either
virtualbox has tho
virtualbox 6.1.30 works fine
anything above like even virtualbox 6.1.31 breaks all my vms and makes them all lag and crash instantly
apparently its a known problem since 5 patches
noone fixes it and there's no warning for upgrading
Because your doing dist upgrade
someone can help me to transform this vector(1,2,3,4,5,6) in this(1-4-2-5-3-6)?
is a code on a transposed vector
What should I be doing instead?
Linux From Scratch?
Can't upgrade the distro if there is no distro?
Why are you not using LTS like a sane person?
Just every time a new release comes out
You shouldn't if it's a production one
Stick with the thing that works unless it's a security upgrade or a feature you need
Honest answer? Ignorance
When I started setting these up I didn't know what LTS was
And by the time I put in the effort to rebuild them, I just switched to Arch
I'd say get to an LTS version and stay there until needed
I remember last time, when I go to github, and create new repo
there is a page on github.com with some snippet that I can just copy paste
to setup remote and push from my local
but I can't find that page anymore
This one?
It only shows up if your repo is empty
oooh
If you already have code, click the big green button to see your options
thanksss
👍
I think I already setup everything correctly.
from now on, I can simply do
git add .
git commit -m "message"
git push```
right?
Yeah
Basically UI
Example for backend can be database integration etc. (languages like php maybe)
@amber raptor guess what i found
Linux containers only receive file change events (“inotify events”) if the original files are stored in the Linux filesystem. For example, some web development workflows rely on inotify events for automatic reloading when files have changed.
I made few changes, and it worked!

@kindred ivy the story is not that interesting. I was on windows > Mac > Linux. Once I discovered Arch linux and the ability to make my own custom configured system, I never went back
it helps me avoid distracting things like games
yeah games
@buoyant cobalt you can look into libraries like flask, fast api or django's DRF for making web apis. i'd also suggest switching from json to a database like postgres
Sure, would have a look . Thanks
i've personally used DRF and it's pretty good
it comes with a lot of features (which has the downside that there's a lot to learn) included, which make things like interfacing with a database very easy
Okay

Seems a little arbitrary to me.
@somber heath if you break it down its quite simple.
Consider an 8 bit string: 10010101 ----> 1001-0101
1. Swap the parts separated by `-`: 01011001 ----> 01-01;10-01 (i & 0xF0) >> 4 | (i & 0x0F) << 4
2. Swap the parts separated by `-`: 01010110 ----> 0-1;0-1;0-1;1-0 (i & 0xCC) >> 2 | (i & 0x33) << 2
3. Swap one last time : 10101001 ----> reversed of what we started with. (i & 0xAA) >> 1 | (i & 0x55) << 1

Hi , can someone please explain circular import for me broadly?
So if we have two files a and b , and we import b in a and - a in b
Why would this cause an issue?
@buoyant cobalt what are you trying to do?

flask for static pages
@forest mauve
For in the event you didn't get your question answered, importing a file runs it. It would be like having two functions that call each other. It would go on until the program crashed.

what do you need to know to control the microphone port and make it work in a certain way?
trying to control the microphone port and make it work in a certain way or any way that i need to
Receiving sound in a certain way, storing it in a certain form, stopping storing it in another way, and like that, converting it to other things
trying to learn a program language that i need to build robot mind 😔
i dont know what i need to have and learn
some people say i need
1-cpu
2- a driver api to interact with for Python to touch the microphone.
ok what about knowledge that i need for know how use 1 and 2
python? something specific
instead of thinking of it like that
think of it as storing the sound as it is
and then changing it the way you want
and then returning that
any audio editing toolbox/library/module would do the trick
don't have experience doing that in any other language other than matlab
but yea basically you can edit the frequencies of a recording etc

Who is John Galt?
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

@wind raptor what's the topic about:?
Socialism is a left-wing political, social, and economic philosophy encompassing a range of economic and social systems characterised by social ownership of the means of production, as opposed to private ownership. It includes the political theories and movements associated with such systems. Social ownership can be public, collective, or cooper...

I don't see it, Charlie
Yeah, it is a stretch

I don't think so. It's like someone took RDA and ironed him

overhead of docker on Linux machine is really really light

class complex([real[, imag]])```
Return a complex number with the value *real* + *imag**1j or convert a string or number to a complex number. If the first parameter is a string, it will be interpreted as a complex number and the function must be called without a second parameter. The second parameter can never be a string. Each argument may be any numeric type (including complex). If *imag* is omitted, it defaults to zero and the constructor serves as a numeric conversion like [`int`](https://docs.python.org/3/library/functions.html#int "int") and [`float`](https://docs.python.org/3/library/functions.html#float "float"). If both arguments are omitted, returns `0j`.
For a general Python object `x`, `complex(x)` delegates to `x.__complex__()`. If `__complex__()` is not defined then it falls back to `__float__()`. If `__float__()` is not defined then it falls back to `__index__()`.

Can a Python program written on the chat analyze the chat ?
And work bases on what is written
On it
How does this work
It works because the default argument, the blank list, is an instance of the class. It's that instance that's shared as the default.
That instance being created when Python reads the def line.
Which is why it's bad practice to use mutable default arguments.
Can we create a función un the chat that Will run bases on what ut is written on the chat pasa Its creation ?
After written and run
Yes.
How
