it gets easier over time, i usually try to relate the strokes to an image related to the character, or use knowledge of the radical to link the meaning. and sometimes you can use the rest of the character to link it to one you already know but just with a swapped radical. helps more on pronunciation, when you swap out the radical its a good bet it has the same letters just different tones
