I don't think I've ever given out an undeserved bad grade. I once had an otherwise great student I couldn't find an assignment for, that they asserted strongly and repeatedly that they gave me, and so I gave them full credit for it since they had such good performance otherwise.
you think you just 'misplaced' their work?
werent they supposed to submit online?
π€£
Erm, back later maybe π
well i must of been your one and only
Nah, pen and paper assignments. I was pretty sure I didn't get it, but I always leave the possibility that I'm wrong...
i put my heart and soul into that paper, you know that

!paste
Pasting large amounts of code
If your code is too long to fit in a codeblock in discord, you can paste your code here:
https://paste.pythondiscord.com/
After pasting your code, save it by clicking the floppy disk icon in the top right, or by typing ctrl + S. After doing that, the URL should change. Copy the URL and post it here so others can see it.

@primal yacht why do i need to install a command which says githubusercontent for mac?
just to write code...
how does this make sense..
Oh gos π
In real life you just do estimates of big O so dont stress too much abt it
Oh gtg bye guys its been nice listening
this is what i got...
It tells you what it does. Some things are required to make it work
that's saying the item it is getting is from GitHub
so will i get a message when it finishes?
It steps through each thing before it does stuff ...
It is more verbose than Windows installers, and not one of those anti-bot checks
so how long am i going to be waiting?
i mean this computer has no memory on it
and my internet speed is pretty fast
RAM or storage space?
both
ram 16 gb
ssd 526
rust is better than c++ @rugged tundra
.... "no memory" ... then you say you have 16 GB of RAM and an SSD
katie i just wanna write code
why in the world is this so hard

Unrestricted?

π€£
youre doing it again man
same with the granny cooking story
π

no problem and good luck
π€£
@midnight agate you're big bro
π
this is what i mean
you say youre NOT TRYING TO Be funny
but you say a simple thing like changing your name on a python server is 'changing the trajectory of your Life...'
how do you expect people not to laugh?
then you want me to do voice permissions
Knowing im going to laugh every 5 secs and my room mates are going to think im a weirdo in my room laughing all the time
im listening man...
spit it out
'keep a straight face'
nobodys looking at you...
again, the Troll tactics
go on
π€£
how man? your vocab didnt make it go up?
dude you're a Legend
so they disrespected you
so you disrespected them back...
is their anyway that interview can get back to your next employer?
that you disrespected people in another interview?
π€£
you play too much man
why couldnt you originally go to 50?
why did you go straight to 30?
did you not like how they were talking to you
He said...because everyone else gets the same price
and he had to give you the same as everyone else
so he was lying to you?
in your face?
so he was trying to cut corners?
get a good developer for a little cheaper?
π
i would of took you for 50 after that confidence
if he said 50 as you walked to the door
would you take it?
or no, because he disrespected you too much?
He's probably kicking himself right now
He knew you had balls after replying to him like that (his next future employer -potential)
he knew if he had you in his company, that would be 1 more person Who MIGHT Tell him the truth
nice story. Entertaining
brb gotta go get a drink
Back, sorry i took so long. i had to go take out the trash for my roommates π€£
these people Lazy as hell. Someones gotta do it...
we cant all sit on our ass all day like you ..π

i do think theirs a little disconnect though. You don't realise how lazy these millennials are. Thats not your era @midnight agate These people do Nothing...
whats up guys
hey @wind raptor
cool
new opportunities...
ok
refactoring
big boy level
That sounds cool
whats big boy level to you?
anyone?
I thought you had to shorten lines of code
so that means you need multiple ways to write the same thing
im at the level, i just hope it runs
π
when you say 'extendable' what does that mean to you?
or again, thats just more functional/better
when you run it
noted
well explained
no it was Bazinga
π€£ @wind raptor
@cunning lake whats going on with you? are you programming something?
yea π
@whole bear you was breathing...but it stopped.
but its back...
Talk Tyy
π€£
i think tyy might be drunk guys
@wind raptor how many hours a day do you try and code for? or its not consistent and all off of feeling?
or is it completely driven by projects/what you want to get done
Ok
im not at your level, but ive coded/been trying for 5 hours today
without making much progress π im really stuck with what im working on
im just hoping the more i try/the more persistent i am, the better i get
youre going to laugh if i tell you
well its the logistics of the whole thing
i cant code things that im not interested in, so im doing something a little above my paygrade
im learning alot but trying to code
chill
yea thanks dude
huh @cunning lake
can you say that again?
laravel for php
@wind raptor dropping jewels in here

thanks for the advice chris
Any advice of how to get better understanding the documentation? or just TIME
Like everything else? the more you do the better youll get?
do you find you can look at syntax examples, where a curly bracket is there, or a β β and it says parameter or thing you pass through, attribute , decorator, even in a new language (where its showing an example on a web page) that youβre just trying out and you just look at it briefly and understand with that new language what you need to do immediately, because the loops and the same principles apply in every language? How long does this skill take to happen...to look at syntax for a brief second and understand it? Or you need the documentation down first and to know alot and this is 1 of the final things? @wind raptor
are you looking for help?
Just code you'll get better with time
Have fun @cunning lake
its just everything man
understanding everything
the best things to use
i need to use ganache
so thats basically from what i found is a node on the ethereum network
getting basically everything together, how many screens i want
drawing a flow diagram to visualise it to myself, this is what i mean with logistics
im trying to code this with no tutorial help
im just gathering resources
I cant wait to start
also i was trying to figure out if i should use click or argparse as a CLI library to make the best app, i dont know if you recommend one, because i want to make the best app i can. Or their really all the same and i shouldnt be worried about this stuff?
so its built in, then i dont have to import it to the top?
got you
makes sense. Thanks for your help
Ok π
like solidity?
not really man, not going to lie
hope theirs not alot of that...
existing how? you mean the ganache thing i was talking about?
and what makes this easier?
π
@wind raptor youve got me worried about ganache now, like its going to be a bitch to get to work
because you compared it to a dessert
so this gotta be the opposite, if thats heaven, this is hell
that maybe the part where i watch a youtube tutorial
can you send the link ?
Thanks π
Disclaimer- This part focuses more on the theoretical aspects and etherscan.io.

time.sleep() is not perfect
Sorry, that code wasn't good
It can sometimes last over one whole second.
!e ```py
from datetime import datetime;from time import sleep;time = 1644171717
while True:
print(datetime.utcfromtimestamp(time).strftime('%H:%M:%S'));sleep(1);time += 1

5 * sleep(0.1) = 1.005
Sometimes one second passes with 10 exactly, but sometimes 9 or less.
It only will do print() any time its visual seconds change.
It also is using datetime.now() to get the current time
time(1)
(n).9 ... time.sleep(1) ... (n+2).0

from time import monotonic_ns, sleep

just add the offset to your time
still tho, it would take awhile to make it useful by loosing that little bit of time.

Do you guys can hook me up with a channel which can remind meh to follow my shedule properly
what multiplayer game should I create with sockets after tictactoe?
generally you'd want it to be a turn-based game that requires the player to make a decision
!video
It is granted at moderator or higher discretion on a limited basis if and when you have something sufficiently coding/technical/interesting to stream.
You may have a reasonable margin of success waiting for the presence of a group of people on voice chat which includes a moderator.
In requesting video streaming permissions, you're also asking the moderator to actively monitor the stream. Such requests are often granted, but be aware of that consideration.
Avoid DMing such requests to ModMail.
Is there anybody from USA ?
It's pretty quiet right now, so if you like.
Elsewise it's a good idea to go through the help channel system.
oopss sorry , I'm new here

You typically... open your mouth, and then utilise your vocal fold to speak! :P
Funny looking things, vocal folds.
