ok done
Well guys still donsen`t work
jooin
which language should i start from ?
c , c++ ,python or java ?/
๐
i am really confused
anyone plz help
what's your age
just become 18
HI
@uncut meteor Do you know what can i do ?
deepak where r u from ?
๐คฆโโ๏ธ
you already know
You should startup with C
if you have more time them
other wise its depend on your aim
Q: divide by zero
A: def test(): 10 / 0
Oprea = -1
if Oprea == 0:
print("badmatch")
then i will start with c
ZeroDivisionError
lol im asking state
I have a great use of asyncio in something I'm making, but I forgot how to use asyncio properly ๐ญ
It exactly what you think
HELPPPPP!!
I am telling with experience that you should start with C
because its a mother laguage
I had done a mistake to startup with python
But you don't do
up
my homestate mathura
start with JavaScript (money maker prog lang)
i dont think thats valid advice. many people start with python just fine
Then what are you doing in mumbai?
ok bro if i will get any doubt then plz help
Take a example
If you want to learn a car
yeah, start with dart
city?
my house are their in gaziabad , lucknow , chitrakut , aligad
i visit their on my holdiays
wtf!! you have 4 houses
just don't do Java, don't do the mf Java, hate that language
If you want to learn Car
then You will start will Audi i.e. mostfull automatic
or you should learn to drive a simple car.
y ?
simple
to automatic
yes
java sucks, so much typing, verbose crap, go cpp if you really want to learn something similar
C# if you want something similar to java
In C you will get to know many thing
Its a hardware friendly language
java was huge like 10-15 years ago, now its time for Python
I never use c# , but i feel c++ is quite similar to java as well
but I still like using cout<< over, public.static_void.print or whatever it is @lunar pendant
Feel free to go with any language no matter what either c++, python, english or whatever
tysm @clear shadow @wise glade @faint ermine
@lunar pendant
can i be able to learn all 4 language ??
c , c++ , python , java
ok no problem
Please don't do this mistake
sorry
First go with english
y ?
bro you are asking irrelevant questions
If you will work on several laguages
There will be many problems you will face
And you will not able to learn properly
do not tell him
you won't like it laundmo
do not do that, its violation of rules of this server

Like your understanding of how it all works, eg: understanding the basics, how easily you can learn modules, and how much overall time spent in python I guess
For me, I also started with yt, I started with CS Dojo, then I tried to make a discord bot just because (depending on the situation) I like to be thrown into a situation, and try figure how stuff works (I mainly enjoy reverse engineering)

kali is a version of debian
and debian is a distro of linux
What do u think a about Ubuntu is there any advantage to use it over windows?
(to my understanding)
restoration points?
I am so proud of my kali vm xD
because I did (sudo apt update && apt upgrade && apt (the distro update)) and it blackscreened and I am a (sort of) newbie to linux and I freaked out

Hey @compact stump!
Uh-oh! It looks like your message got zapped by our spam filter. We currently don't allow .txt attachments, so here are some tips to help you travel safely:
โข If you attempted to send a message longer than 2000 characters, try shortening your message to fit within the character limit or use a pasting service (see below)
โข If you tried to show someone your code, you can use codeblocks
(run !code-blocks in #bot-commands for more information) or use a pasting service like:

future bass
maybe
Future bass is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in the 2010s. It can be described as music that "takes the ecstatic drops of dubstep or trap, but provides a warm bounce rather than a lumbering bruteness. Basslines are provided by harsh, detuned synths that buzz and purr instead of gulp and whomp." The genre was pioneered by prod...
def func(a):
return len(a)
sorted_by_length = sorted(['apples', 'pears', 'oranges', 'grapes', 'quince', 'bananas'], key=func)โ```
ooh interesting name @whole bear
Ah right, sorry ๐
Lambdas are pretty cool. They're just a way to make a function without giving it a name.
how rude
george = lambda a: print(a)```
Can you figure out what this prints? ```python
print((lambda x: x*x)(7))
Yep ๐
Can you figure out what happens when you run this code: ```python
(lambda x: x(x))(lambda x: x(x))
This is a tricky one ๐
I don't expect you to get this.
Erm, think about what you get when you replace the x in x(x) with (lambda x: x(x))
Yep, infinite recursion!
Infinite until it's not.
When you evaluate (lambda x: x(x))(lambda x: x(x)) you get the same expression back again.
Not sure why I replied to myself ๐ฅด
Just thought that was a cool example.
x = 5
RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded
global
It's generally ill-advised
OOP
It can make it hard to follow what's going on in your code.
Let me see if I can find a good example.
Actually, here's a pretty good explanation from stackoverflow:
The problem with global variables is that since every function has access to these, it becomes increasingly hard to figure out which functions actually read and write these variables.
I've never used it but I heard it a lot that i shouldn't use it
which of you know any about "nonlocal"
That's like global, but when you have a function inside a function.
If do you know about write + in chat
!eval ```python
def foo():
x = 1
def bar():
nonlocal x
x = 2
bar()
print(x)
foo()
@stuck furnace :white_check_mark: Your eval job has completed with return code 0.
2
Yeah, not much call for it tbh ๐
I only remembered because I explained it to someone here recently I think.
what's the difference between nonlocal and global?
I'm not 100%. Let's try...
let's solve problems
!eval ```python
x = 1
def foo():
x = 1
def bar():
nonlocal x
x = 2
def baz():
global x
x = 3
bar()
baz()
print(x)
foo()
print(x)
@stuck furnace :white_check_mark: Your eval job has completed with return code 0.
001 | 2
002 | 3
this nicely explains it
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1261875/python-nonlocal-statement
Not sure what you do if you have a function in a function in a function ๐
oh, so nonlocal is like a global but to a local function
help> keywords
help> global```
it'll be nice if there would be something like this:
x = 1
def func() :
nonlocal x
# this x is global
y = 5
def func_2() :
nonlocal x for func
# this y is for func
just a way to decide on what functions you want to use the variables
Oh yeah, that's a cool idea.
Yeah pretty good ๐
That was a while ago.
yeah, I know, but I hadn't asked
Just ate a mountain of Chinese food to counteract the health benefit of the tabouleh

using
pip3 install keyboard
and then try running this code

Official documentation of Pendulum
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What youโre referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as Iโve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called โLinuxโ, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machineโs resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called โLinuxโ distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

Hey @sleek slate
Discord has published its latest transparency report for the first six months of this year. The big takeaway is that the number of overall reports has almost doubled, largely because of the massive spike in user growth during the pandemic to over 100 million monthly active users. The messaging and chat platform, popular with gamers and streamers...

can make custom emoji using python?
When Discord launched in 2015, it pitted itself against two deep-seated apps: Skype and TeamSpeak. Neither were excellent, which is one of the reasons Discord generated so much traffic and praise from the get-go. Inevitably, this led to several server crashes, as the company struggled to meet demand. Jason Citron, the founder of Discord, had com...

To say that we should allow hate speech in the name of free speech is a blinkered argument. Hate speech is a cancer. It starts as speech. Then becomes action. Then policy. Then death squads. Then it's a monoculture.
guys i am stuck at this problem , my code is running fine locally but when i submit it gives wrong answer
It's a simple question though
but i don't know why it gives wrong ans
yes
no everything is fine
but i don't know why is failing
I code in c++
sry
my code is failing on some test cases
maybe
oh i check
No my code is fine, now the organizer post a message that there tester code is wrong
thankyou guys
It's there fault
hi?
what have you done so far?
i only have ideas
so this is your first project?
what are your ideas?
stock control system like inventory control, fitness application that uses neutral networks, music app
python
well i'd stay away from stock control as I assume you won't be able to put it to work
the fitness app will require you to need to get data off the user
most use fitbits etc. to get that data and i don't interfacing with them is a good idea for a first
especially with the Neural net stuff added on top
oh my god
i'd recommend the music app
what should i do
its a good idea
this is my music app idea
but how do i test this
i have a windows and and iphone
i would have to connect it to Bluetooth
it depends, you've not spoken of how it works
is it interfacing with spotify?
local music to the device?
or youtube
sure
API
so why use your app over just going on Youtube?
so u can make a group playlist
so other people can add to a playlist?
so like a round robin system for choosing music.
yes
start with getting one user to beable to request music
and play it
then you can the next stuff after
work in steps
i'd use spotify, but I think that requires all the users to have premium
pretty sure there is a good package for downloading youtube videos
you could just do that
if it would help you, sure.
for marks
yes
they want something that has a purpose and produces and output
and stakeholders to be references
i doubt you will have stakeholders
is this gonna be a hypothetical product/service?
where you are doing it for a company
or something
