That's because of different country laws... not because of anything racial
again, privacy standards/laws are not a racial issue. how does racial discrimination play into this?
lol
Contact Tracing using Bluetooth can be used to effeciently track covid patients.
i agree its not racial ... im saying that they know that they are serving two different privacy standards to different parts of the world
I'm more bothered why it went straight to the racial thing. Like... as soon as someone states something is racially biased, it starts to get into a really polarized thing that can get messy
Well, yes
They have to abide by certain requirements or lack there of
i agree its not racial
why then did you say "racially discriminated"
Let's steer away from it
germany is already doing that with a voluntary app
Yep but people were complainig about privacy issues.
So its for them
if they complain about the app used in germany they have no clue how it works, because it basically works like the comic describes

I've seen Java Classes this bad
good ol' blatwacccabtiof
Oh sure, I can try to cover that
So async works on the concept of an event loop. Anything that happens when you're doing async gets added to that loop and gets worked on accordingly. When you await something, it tells Python that it may need to set that line to the side for a little bit if it takes too long to respond. Typically, async is used for Input and Output (I/O) operations which cover things such as sending requests to web servers, getting stuff from your hard drive, etc.
await prevents your program from getting stuck while waiting to get back with the information. It lets Python put that command to the side while it waits for the response.
I can go into more detail if you need me to
I see. Is it possible you could write the smallest example of a program that prints a counter by one every second, but simultaneously wait for user input that status is good
like 'status check' every 5 seconds
and a print a counter every second
it would greatly help me to see it in action
Oh no another gold piece
@Deprecated
// NOTICE| This class has been deprecated, it was the intended parent class
// for all authentication operations but everybody went on their way
and did not implement what we had agreed on
Oh well
public class Authenticathor{
...
@whole bear So... kind of. There are things that are considered "blocking". So if we tried to use input(), it would prevent any progress on the rest of the program, as it can't be moved to the side and wait for it. However, if you use something like discord.py, you can wait on a user's input by watching for it, which can be periodically checked for. The main difference is that it watches for an event, which is exactly one of the things that async does well. input() however is something that takes over the program and says "Until Enter is pressed, we're not going forward."
For something like doing a status check, you'd have to do something like threading, but that ends up being a bit trickier
Yea. I wrote something similar to that.
import threading
import time
class timeThread(threading.Thread):
def __init__(self, function):
threading.Thread.__init__(self)
def run(self):
GameTime = 0
while True:
time.sleep(0.2)
GameTime += 1
print(GameTime)
class inputThread(threading.Thread):
def __init__(self, function):
threading.Thread.__init__(self)
def run(self):
input('status check')
while True:
time.sleep(5)
input('status check')
thread1 = timeThread()
thread2 = inputThread()
thread1.start()
thread2.start()```
but it doesn't work like I thought it would
I found there is a specific IO modules for input not stopping the entire process
Did you mean print('status check') instead of input()?
no, I meant input
Then yeah, it's going to block
Right, i'm trying to find a way for it not to.
Apparently that's what aioconsole is for.
#async-and-concurrency would know better than I would

Naming and Binding
A name is a piece of text that is bound to an object. They are a reference to an object. Examples are function names, class names, module names, variables, etc.
Note: Names cannot reference other names, and assignment never creates a copy.
x = 1 # x is bound to 1
y = x # y is bound to VALUE of x
x = 2 # x is bound to 2
print(x, y) # 2 1
When doing y = x, the name y is being bound to the value of x which is 1. Neither x nor y are the 'real' name. The object 1 simply has multiple names. They are the exact same object.
>>> x = 1
x ━━ 1
>>> y = x
x ━━ 1
y ━━━┛
>>> x = 2
x ━━ 2
y ━━ 1
Names are created in multiple ways
You might think that the only way to bind a name to an object is by using assignment, but that isn't the case. All of the following work exactly the same as assignment:
• import statements
• class and def
• for loop headers
• as keyword when used with except, import, and with
• formal parameters in function headers
There is also del which has the purpose of unbinding a name.

!traceback
Please provide a full traceback to your exception in order for us to identify your issue.
A full traceback could look like:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "tiny", line 3, in
do_something()
File "tiny", line 2, in do_something
a = 6 / 0
ZeroDivisionError: integer division or modulo by zero
The best way to read your traceback is bottom to top.
• Identify the exception raised (e.g. ZeroDivisionError)
• Make note of the line number, and navigate there in your program.
• Try to understand why the error occurred.
To read more about exceptions and errors, please refer to the PyDis Wiki or the official Python tutorial.

Mandarin ( (listen); simplified Chinese: 官话; traditional Chinese: 官話; pinyin: Guānhuà; lit. Begin a block string before the w = 6 line and end it right before the wn = trtl.Screen() line.
So im supposed to do that ^
You can think of the block string technique as temporarily commenting out code segments. However, block strings should not become a permanent part of your code. When you want to comment your code permanently, use the comment character #.

If posthuman civilizations eventually have both the capability and desire to generate such Bostrom-like simulations, then the number of simulated realities would greatly exceed the one base reality, ostensibly indicating a high pro...
