For Thanksgiving in the United States, turkey is traditionally served stuffed or with dressing (on the side), with cranberry sauce and gravy. Common complementary dishes include mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, squash, and sweet potatoes.
Dangerous how? Aggressive with leg spurs?

Context:
for any letter, such as B
`subst B: %cd%`
will make a virtual drive in Windows 10.
Until recently it has been useful for project management.
Bug:
PyCharm cannot directly open this drive as a project, only subdirectories of drives.
The logs reveal that this is because the double backslash is stripped down to a single backslash, allowing it to escape a string, hence changing the directory from `B:\` to `B:"` when it should be `B:\\`
in this example, B: was used; however, this happens regardless of the letter, how many backslashes I append, or the method of opening the drive.
Opening Virtual Drive as PyCharm Project worked perfectly before the 2020.3 update, which is the first occurrence of this bug.

You have a role.
@rugged root i just dont like discord bots in general tbh like most ppl who do them r just weird in my opinion and steal others work for no reason
If you want another, you can subscribe to announcements in #bot-commands
like this one guy tried flexing his help command...
@pine iron Then there's also the voice verification role.

hey
I don't know what to name the folders for my website rewrite
name them "im cool" and "naruto"
Folder1, Folder2, Folder3 ...
lol
So far I only have frontend and backend, which is boring, considering that the Django ones have nice names already
just make them ur favorite show names and characters
Is there relevant documentation detailing naming convention?
leftend and rightend
dghsjdghs, hsdghsood, hfsdhsg
Meh, I'll just call it app and api
wait so ur not allowed to use bd here?
for website ?
yeh
The api would be written on an entirely different language
wait
Kinda would like src for the frontend and backend but that's just me being quirky
Here's roughly how it should look
for chatting

Does one supe something up, as in super, or soup something up?
Broth?
i needed some customers
Description seems to check out
did i just hear pancake ?
It can be eaten alone? "Eating this with other people? * newspapers * No soup for you!"
I can only imagine soggy pancakes on soup
Back in a tic, have to install some programs on our workers' machines
ok not that bad
if you want a blank message type in _ _
If we're posting soup pics, might as well
oo ok
that's hamburger
Also, hello @fierce summit . Only just now saw you popped in. Back in a bit

@somber heath Is there any way to let my python program choose between two words randomly? I mean no algorithm from my side totally random???
I imagine they'd be going at full tilt to straighten out that problem
oh no
@somber heath can you explain in Voicechat
random.choice uses a mersenne twister which is for all intents and purposes random

there are no types in Python, so language agnostically it would be wrong to say that it's type casting
@blazing vault I think it's technically type conversion
Or at least that's the term
!paste
Pasting large amounts of code
If your code is too long to fit in a codeblock in discord, you can paste your code here:
https://paste.pydis.com/
After pasting your code, save it by clicking the floppy disk icon in the top right, or by typing ctrl + S. After doing that, the URL should change. Copy the URL and post it here so others can see it.
input() returns an object of type str. '1', for example, is of type str, despite containing the number one. a = '1' vs b = 1. b would be of type int. int(a) would equal 1, an int.

use f string
it is working
!f-strings
In Python, there are several ways to do string interpolation, including using %s's and by using the + operator to concatenate strings together. However, because some of these methods offer poor readability and require typecasting to prevent errors, you should for the most part be using a feature called format strings.
In Python 3.6 or later, we can use f-strings like this:
snake = "Pythons"
print(f"{snake} are some of the largest snakes in the world")
In earlier versions of Python or in projects where backwards compatibility is very important, use str.format() like this:
snake = "Pythons"
# With str.format() you can either use indexes
print("{0} are some of the largest snakes in the world".format(snake))
# Or keyword arguments
print("{family} are some of the largest snakes in the world".format(family=snake))
did i miss anything
hi guys
I'm having a problem with github right now. It's not working for many things like ->
- VSCode's not working with Git
- A benchmark tool "CPU-Z", fetches downloads from Github isn't downloading https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
- VSCode's settings not syncing with Github, where I stored my settings
Any Idea why?
no one?
ok, thanks
Welcome to GitHub's home for real-time and historical data on system performance.
use , not + print(user_choice ," lost ",amt) if ur confused with fstring
this link isn't opening in my browser -https://www.githubstatus.com/
@rugged root @normal hinge Thanks for the help, you guys are awesome. It solved the issue and adding some more functions to this game.
can't reach the page error
f standards for formated string , we use to print the value {}
I think its my ISP or something
python developers mostly use f string
ok
since today all this stuff is happening, what another distributed vcs do you guys use?
Cause I think i should make a backup
anyway, thanks Hemlock
I have exams, so gotta go π
Due to excessive use of SSH, my typing style is fucked up. I click CTRL + O to save. nano fck you
ok, its not just Git, my discord is also not working properly today
every time I start the app, it starts with downloading update 1 of 3, and does not complete download
then it throws a bunch of JavaScript errors (big dialogue boxes)
and then starts, but runs a little slow
and Helmlock's gone, just saw it
Done
@runic geyser if you want to show some code, you can do it here, for voice chat people to see

srry for the delay, my VSCode's going nuts today, something with Github not working
I wrote this in interpretter
What is this for?
@pallid kite explain your question to Hemlock, he would give better advice
he want to run a while loop forever, and also run rest of his code, in same script probably
concurrency
hey, whats the vc topic currently(if you dont mind me asking)?
If solution is threading, you probably made a mistake
this is not a good example since it only shows the difference in a client-server scenario
yeah you sent this before tho
why is Gradma at the cashier? who let the Gradma in?
Itβs just example many people understand
@faint ermine ```py
from concurrent.futures import ThreadPoolExecutor as pool
from time import sleep
def firstWhile():
while True:
print("Hi")
sleep(1)
def secondWhlile():
while True:
print("No")
sleep(1)
with pool() as p:
p.submit(firstWhile)
p.submit(secondWhlie)
print("Hello")
just `firstWhile` keeps, running, so ThreadPoolExecutor's not good to run a foreverwhile Loop, and run rest of code too?
print("Hello") never prints
also `secondWhile` never runs
Again, threading is rarely good idea
I know ProcesPoolExecutor would work, but not for a single core processor π
thats
just
so many levels of wrong
a single core CPU can will and IS running many MANY processes
This is where the context switching comes into play
yeah, how do I switch the context? I only know asyncio context switching
Well single core can only handle one process at a time but OS will handle scheduling
When it comes to the CPU level, you don't
Because GIL can interfere and modern software design can get around it with message passing

So.... I'll explain when I can talk
simple words please
this gives how much memory your process is using right now
import os, psutil
process = psutil.Process(os.getpid())
print(process.memory_info().rss)
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/938733/total-memory-used-by-python-process
linux -> https://www.golinuxcloud.com/check-memory-usage-per-process-linux/
e!
import os, psutil
process = psutil.Process(os.getpid())
print(process.memory_info().rss)
e!
import os, psutil
process = psutil.Process(os.getpid())
print(process.memory_info().rss)
@whole bear does this work similar to how the timeit function works? Or is there a similar utility as timeit that lets you measure program memory consumption?
