isn't pip install not working?
some hacks @rugged root
i love how as the vc continues, the discussion moves further and further away from software development. Like right now, its perfect, but then it devolves(just my opinion) into(for instance, yesterday) driving laws and seizures inducing moments in games
like its TOO FUNNY
if you look(listen) hard enough, you can even pinpoint a distinct turning point where there is no inkling of software development discussion in the conversation
@eternal bough Hey yo where have u been
Just stick to basics
@severe pulsar hello
heyyy
@stoic ore helo
that point has probably come now
whats the discussion about
idk, confused thoughts
alr

gud afternoon
Hey everyone
@normal hinge i think you did't install python correctly
upgrade it
to the latest
That's just a warning, you can upgrade it if you like
Out of context statements by admins. Kindly assistance or ominous warning? You decide!
hahahahahha
hahahaha
I'll save that one for future misbehaving guild members
There's also another phrase that I like that I'm sure @rugged root does as well actually
that's what she said thing ?
"Drop it or I'll drop you"
Never used it personally as well but yeah
Still waiting for !shhhhhhhut the fuck up

hello everyone
The wizard bisk pin in #ot0-psvm’s-eternal-disapproval was partially my fault
For reference #ot0-psvm’s-eternal-disapproval message
I personally don't get the appeal of Cyberpunk
'Prejudice' taken from the Australian 'Ready For This?' DVD.
It's a GTA-like open world game but with proper FPS mechanics, somewhat like Fallout but something else different
hey guys how much "should" a 20 or 18.5 inch monitor cost? 60 fps nothing fancy, but with HDMI
Don't get me wrong though, I think it's a good premise, but it's just probably me preferring the traditional 3rd person perspective for RPGs
Also Keanu
Gotta love Keanu
so you can just drive 3rd person in that game? rest of it is in first person?
any better laptop than asus g14?
playing fps too long makes me nauseous
I still find it weird how the gameplay looks so fluid it's like a demo
@wise glade Do you adjust the FOV slider?
what's an FOV slider? not much into gaming
field of view
Basically the "depth" of your view
what's the point if my targets size decrease? I play CS:GO sometimes
FOV means you get to see more around the edges of the screen, but makes targets at a distance smaller - Google
You see people on side easier
Yea i like to put mine on 90 when i play rust
flash memory vs SSD
But other games are different
For rust high fov helps with recoil imo
But a game like csgo i would probably play on like a low fov since the guns dont have as much recoil as rust
and it's not like you're spraying all the time anyways
My Pine Phone came in
at least compared to arcade-y shooters
Yea thats true
@rugged root
I used to think fov didnt really help recoil
Because like it didnt really make much sense to me ig
But then i turned my fov up to max on rust and i could control all the guns easily
nope
haha
coooooooool i wish i can own one
I'll let you know how good/shit it is
it died before it started
haha
do you guys use git commands in terminals at all, or just git extensions for whatever editor or IDE u'r using?
i thought it is netflix for gamers
Stadia's barely trying to survive
yeah
terminals
I used to do them on the terminal, then I started using Emacs and magit just does the management for me
I should ask this to Opal, @somber heath do you find it useful in your work to use git terminal commands or you just use git extensions in IDE's
I can time-travel easier now!
depends sometimes too
@wise glade I don't use git.
Is building a pc yourself better than buying one?
why bro?
for desktop yes
yes, always, I'm in favor at least
i mean you cant build a laptop yet
Its cheaper to build a pc too
i wish a company will give out standardized laptop form factors and hardware and let you build one
You get better parts for lower price
I wanna buy Dell xps one day (for the looks), or maybe a Razor Blade,
but if Mac's come up with some M4 chip by that point, which is just 🤯 , then that, definitely that
I see
i highly doubt that
@sinful bramble Laptops need to be portable so making them modular would take up space, so not really worth
Mac is terrible
Convenient yes. Useful not really.
yup
i mean i was talking about company selling hardware and laptop chassis that is ez to build and is also portable
Yep latest cost me about 3 racks
can't do shit with it
everything requires windows man
i wish that will happen someday
That would be very difficult and few people want that
:((
@frozen oasis check this ASUS G14
If imac wasn't that expensive, you all would get one? like specs

what's the command line to create a file on linux?
hmm
inb4 industry lobbying to lock it out of the cellular networks.
do we have to use ctrl + c to break out of cat command?
i kinda wonder what you can do with a pine phone. can it play multiplayer games from the android store or hmmmm
@wise glade ctrl + d may also serve.
will it be able to run discord?
i wish we can assble and de assble laptop
lool
i will buy huawei laptops to check if they can spy if i switch the OS to gnu/linux
i got the joke
Oh also

@rugged root
Yo hemlock when did u start learning to code and what was your first language?
lol
@frigid shard helo
First time I ever wrote any code was back in high school. Made a little number guessing game on my old TI-84 Plus calculator. Didn't really do anything with it until college, I want to say around 2011 or 2012. The language I consider as my first is Java. From then to now I've been coding off and on, with only really buckling down to code again about 3 or 4 years ago, trying to pick JavaScript and Python back up.
ooh awesome
Computers have always been like magic to me
The idea that I can tell it to do something (and not just by using another program) is still a thing of wonder
I love the structure, I love creating
And I love trying to get other people as passionate about it as I am
I guess it is. Feels like such a plain story to me
thats fine, you cant change the way you get introduced to something
but the effect of that introduction was meaningful because it brought you to this server and got you into coding
so thats 👌

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is - whichever is greater - it obtains a difference or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position that it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is is now the position that it wasn't, and if follows that the position that it was is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation. The variation being the difference between where the missile is and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows: Because a variation has modified some of the information that the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it know where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice versa. And by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.
The fact is that while the missile is a deviation from its position (in fact, it cannot be at the same position as it was), it can still be made at the wrong time. It can continue to be made at the wrong time, and it can continue to be made at the wrong time, and it can continue to be made at the wrong time. The problem is that if different results can be drawn about the different errors in one direction in a continuous, continuous series of consecutive patterns (i.e., patterns of arbitrary deviations) that the missile must make (i.e., the variability in direction of the missile) continue in the same series of consecutive patterns, the missile must make this deviation in a constant sequence of consecutive patterns that the missile must make only at the wrong time. For example, an aircraft is made to start or stop by an aircraft. This would apply to the configuration of the missile: Because a variation is not known to be in the plane, it's hard to determine the configuration of the missile that the missile must make.
after reading that i have to think of the "Heisenbergsche Unschärferelation" (it's in german) @gentle flint

Hey @lusty marsh!
Uh-oh! It looks like your message got zapped by our spam filter. We currently don't allow .txt attachments, so here are some tips to help you travel safely:
• If you attempted to send a message longer than 2000 characters, try shortening your message to fit within the character limit or use a pasting service (see below)
• If you tried to show someone your code, you can use codeblocks
(run !code-blocks in #bot-commands for more information) or use a pasting service like:

@rugged root Tasks and coroutines are both awaitables but iirc Tasks can run in the background
e.g. Tasks are awaitables that are already injected into the event loop
Not sure if I love or hate this syntax but if it lessens the pain of writing HTML, then I'm all for it
I haven't looked into Elixir as of late

@rugged root What do you need it to do?
All I need it to do is to open a file in the appdata\roaming directory and overwrite it with a new string
Just not sure how yet
