@young matrix I created a Music Player with same name as you.
what
Check it on my GitHub
pls sir i want to check it too
It on my GitHub

hehe
It is still Closed Source. I didnt uploaded the Code yet bcz its mess. Its in C
@young matrix
okay then let me give u music source then
it plays local files.
what about mixing them
yes
Hello everyone
hello
How's life?
yes we can
i mean. what about connecting both Neon and Yours one
wait let me give u what my music sdk give u out of the box
good. Just like Python. Slow, Buggy and Smooth.
Its in Python?
oh bro. what is this.
and whole thing is in the grpc too
long story short i made a npm package
then i made docker image for the music backend
right now i'm running whole spotify locally
So how and where you host it? i mean its a server with API's
local pc
or you are running it locally?
yep
can you write it in Python?
well it's whole thing is written in the Typescript
okay i'll do the rewrite for python
Its on your GitHub?
but u have to wait
i'm busy at my job right now
yes but i think it's private
yep
dont rewrite it.
don't think to much i was planning to give support for other lanuages
don't think to much
no no. i will try to write my own. Thank you for the Hint
ohh okay then i can invite u thx
@alpine patio 👋
yes, i've not been a member long enough evidently
indeed
thats ok though I'll be around:D
:) speak to you when I have been deemed worthy
@vague ruin 👋
hi @somber heath
are there any spots in here where people suggest little projects as practice?
also hi @vague ruin :D
table fan
Based on your accent, I think you are from southern India
north
Hmm, what's your good name?
Manish Gupta , Yours?
Nvm, I got no clue where you are from
I thought I could guess your birthplace based on surname or name
@vague ruin If God is in existence, he must be sadistic or evil in nature.
And all the interpretation of God is false meaning all religions are false, as human beings would be too insignificant to be bothered by him
@vague ruin Well how can bacteria make contact with god and claim to be messenger of God?
That's why I said all religions are shams
I mean most religions are like trust me bro, I Heard from God
@vague ruin In my opinion everything is religions, but when I meant religions my definition of religion is any group which is in belief
Like capitalism is belief system
Politics
Technically everyone is religious
A social construct is a human invention just like a nation, religion, etc
Yeah, Science is also a belief system
It's not a religion.
Scientism - Wikipedia https://share.google/O5QIjXoMp2sUrSwDC
Scientism is the belief that science and the scientific method are the best or only way to render truth about the world and reality.
While the term was defined originally to mean "methods and attitudes typical of or attributed to natural scientists", some scholars, as well as political and religious leaders, have also adopted it as a pejorative ...

why is that funny?
@celest fossil 👋
i simply asked because it's funny that I'm seeing another malayali
here in the server
it's funny seeing someone who speaks a specific language?
coincidental

ohh
I want to optimize my code with CUDA, Where can I read about this?
how do you want to optimize?
direct emission of CUDA ?
or with a library?
Now my code use CPU only, and I want to use a CPU and GPU together with nvidia CUDA
what problem are you trying to solve, just making sure this isn't an XY problem in disguise
My problem, i don't know, how writing CUDA Toolkit code, because I don't know this API or library
@somber heath can you write to me?
CUDA is a solution. What is the problem that solution solves for you?
I don't know how reorganize my code to use this in cuda
The code which performs what function for you?
calculations
very large numbers that can be solved in MathCad
My course work
Be more specific.
Ohh
Because the type of math problems that exist are varied. Some problems are suited to be solved by the parallelism afforded by things like CUDA, others are not.
Unless you explain what those problems are, it's impossible to offer meaningful advice.
My discrete math teacher really loves challenging problems with huge numbers. That's exactly the kind of problem he gave us now, and it requires using CUDA.
My speed is not enough
If I start solving this problem using only CPU, it will take me 10,000,000 years.
what is the problem
I don't know how use CUDA and how integrations my code to CUDA
Please give an example of a problem.
Consider an elliptic curve in Weierstrass form, defined by the equation over the field , where . The order of the principal cyclic subgroup is .
Given:
Generator of the group : a fixed point on the curve with known coordinates .
Target image: the result of applying the one-sided transformation function to the desired point, where .
Order constraint: It is known that the desired scalar (an integer) lies in the half-interval:
Required:
Develop a computational algorithm to find an integer satisfying the condition .
Technical requirements for the solution:
Implement efficient scalar multiplication of a point on an elliptic curve (using the “double-and-add” method or windowed methods).
Optimize the procedure for traversing elements in the given range using parallel computations.
Minimize the number of modular inversion operations when converting from affine coordinates to projective coordinates (Jacobi coordinates).
Doesn't fib have a magical O(1) formula?
Alas, I lack the domain specific knowledge to advise you in this matter, but I would suggest you talk to #data-science-and-ml because they're liable to have done work with CUDA computing.
Thank you!
Is the GPU a CUDA gpu?
Yessss
How did you arrive at CUDA as a solution?
Was Numpy mentioned? Was multiprocessing mentioned?
I have a homework --> I writing some code and have a limit on memory --> I think, i'm so stupid to do this homework --> i use the google --> google say "use the CUDA to use GPU power"
No numpy, but multiprocessing and async were
and multithreading)
I checked to see if it suited me, and it's actually quite good in that regard
Numpy is good)
It's me
see y'all!
I use this method and if i have a question, I'll write about it
Thank you all
ur welcome juike

Btw, I was looking in detail about democracy and its origin.
In summary, I understood the person who proposed the Idea of democracy has mentioned that democracy is a system which creates an oligarchy society in which oligarchs have more influence on decision making
Speaking of toilet water splashing, @peak depot you see the latest episode of The Boys?

But I don't think they weigh themselves, others weigh them.

Yes
And strangely... based on current reality
hello
.topic
Am sorry for the delay ill have to import the file from my laptop thats why
Here is the code
birthdays = {'Alice':'Apr 1st', 'Bob' : 'Dec 12', 'Carol': 'March 4th'}
while True:
print('Enter name (or blank to exit)')
name = input().title()
if name == '':
break
if name in birthdays:
print(birthdays[name] + ' is the birthday of ' + name)
else:
print('I do not have birthday information of ' + name)
print('What is their birthday ?')
bpd = input()
birthdays[name]=bpd
print('Birthday data base updated!')
I want it to save data when I run it but it seems to delete it anytime the terminal is closed I tried to re assign but still nothing change
@rain viper
So you basically hardcoded a dictionary in python , which is static data
Your issue is when you close the terminal , the data you added or updated is not available , isn't the issue
Basically the data you added which are not static data but will be available until you close the program or stop the program , the data is removed from the RAM
and when you execute the program again , the data you added is gone and the program will use the hard coded dictionary birthdays , not the data you added in the previous session
inorder to get intended behavior from the program you should either use a File in python or DB in python , to save the data into somewhere which won't erase when the program stops executing
Yes exactly this is the problem any data that I assign when the terminal is running then after i close its gone
Thank you so much now I tried as you said and it worked thank you
Heya
def nfib(n):
def nfib(n):\n return (int) (( (pow((0.5) * (1+math.sqrt(5)),n) ) - pow((0.5) * (1-math.sqrt(5)),n)) / math.sqrt(5))\n
posting from earlier
phi = nfib(1000)/nfib(999)
phi - (1/phi) returns 1.0
phi == 1.618033988749895

There’s a ton @storm depot
I'm the one who ask a while ago in about how to outline. I just created an a new acc bc that one is disaster
could you send me
How to outline...a bell was brushed up against gently.
@storm depot
What operating system you on
currently using phone only to learn bc I don't have a laptop or PC. I'm using Acode for IDE
yeah u was learning fromm opal last year septrember he told me to learn by my self but dint couse it was hard for me
i have installed it once
So you have it?
If you do go to vscode
You should see a thing on the left side of your screen
than ?
It’ll be 3 boxes and a triangle
No
3 boxes and a tilted box
That’s the extensions menu
Type in Python and download the Python ones
thanks dude
When I tell people to self learn, I don't mean "by yourself" necessarily. I just mean that you'll often have to find ways of learning that don't involve a teacher talking at you in a classroom. Whatever works for you, if it works, is good.
Yea I have to look at code and break it down myself to learn
That’s why I personally don’t like using ai makes me feel like I’m cheating(I do anyway sometimes)
Also
Have any of you picked up weird typing habits since you’ve started coding
Like when I’m putting things in parentheses a lot of the time I accidentally put quotations.
Yea never mind then
@balmy rain 👋
Yurp
@somber heath wheree did u goo

@tacit notch @somber heath What is this discussion
@tacit notch Never heard of thaf ide
@somber heath @tacit notch I really wanna learn programming, but I'm stuck in tutorial hell, cause all the documentations are not beginner friendly. Yall experts here or sum shi
as myself who experience this, try to stick one content creator who teach python tutorial series to not get overflow from info and not get overwhelmed
@somber heath Tbh, I forgot all of it cause of frustration of failing and not understanding
when I'm watching from CS50 I try to take notes then get help from AI to get a nice outline notes that I can look at
@tacit notch Understanding everything. When I think I got a hold of one topic I tend to forgeg and not implement it without watching tutorials
I'm doing a 1 lectures for 2 day or more to digest all the knowledge and I'm trying to make my own example. just sharing
@somber heath But documentations are not beginner friendly, they throw in terms I dont understand. I get lost trying to read one topic
can I share the Google word notes from the CS50 Python (this is claud generated notes that came from my own paper)?
It's from lecture 0 and 1 which is about Function, variable & conditional
@tacit notch @somber heath I'll keep these things in mind, I'll definitely come back here cause I'm going into IT into college cause I wanna make games. I like watching people make games. I think it's cool
@somber heath @tacit notch No i meant the advice. Hell naw I aint cheating, thats not me fr fr
Ahh ok, sorry sir
I still watch the lecture and also I scan the generated notes if it's correct or not

If you click on my profile image, my join dates are visible.
This is Python Discord, a server created with the purpose of serving as a place for learning Python and teaching Python.

We put food in. We press a button. and thus the heat starts you don't care that inside there's a magnetron, a transformer, a turntable motor, and a control board each doing their own job, each building on the one below it. MRO is the same idea. When you call a method on Microwave, Python doesn't just check Microwave it walks the chain microwave to KitchenDevice to Appliance to ABC to object Just like the microwave delegates "make heat" down to the magnetron, Python delegates "find this method" down the inheritance chain until something handles it.
