candid spire
# trail mulch its should be about humanity

I believe illegal migrants should be kicked out of India.

We aren't a developed nation or charity, they got their own country yet they choose to immigrate here for better opportunity and fuel anti national activity

candid spire
#

They got power because of real issues

#

First fuel was Jinnah

#

The present prime minister of india was an RSS member

trail mulch
#

you are saying trump have done such a great job

candid spire
#

When the US detained the Indians and deported them, India cooperated with US

#

China did not!

#

Those illegal migrants nation didn't co-operate with India, they chose to use it for political means

#

Most of them arrive in the tribal state of India, harras tribal woman and local

trail mulch
#

but why just dont ask for justice to india's gov instead of taking such risk

candid spire
#

I guess you are blindly replying to my response

candid spire
trail mulch
candid spire
#

Pakistan does not!

#

China refuses to take the illegal immigrants (Chinese) from US

#

To some extent I think India should close itself to intranets similar to China and be cynical about the world

trail mulch
#

that make's india great but at first india failed to justice between people's so they risk their lifes to imigirate

candid spire
#

Indians immigrate to Europe and the US primarily because they can, it is encouraged by the pro immigrant government in such a country.

If they can't have refuge or Permanent Resident or Visa, they would not immigrate to the US!

candid spire
trail mulch
#

and one more thing about indians is heighlited to me that i have talked many of them and most of them support israel even after seeing all that

candid spire
#

Which cares less about politics

#

They support israel because international media does

#

They are western influenced

trail mulch
#

and also have some awesome freinds from india who know's my secret that even my real friends dont know so dont think i have personal hate to india

candid spire
trail mulch
candid spire
# trail mulch why?

Because these friends influence them, some are bad and some good.
Most of them have bad influence

#

The soft power of the west has influenced Indians to such an extent that it has cultured self hatred among themselves

#

The biggest example is the cosmetic industry in India

trail mulch
#

well punjabies are influncing west for their culture

trail mulch
#

and adopt if like it

candid spire
#

Indians should understand their own culture before any other

trail mulch
candid spire
#

No need to understand culture which has no relation or connection to your own

It is a waste of time

#

i don't understand x1 carbon, it's too thin

amber raptor
#

Same reason people love MacBook Air

wise loom
# amber raptor If you haul your laptop around, thin is good

x1 carbon violates the classic thinkpad values(robustness, durability, serviceability, availability of parts, having many CRUs, long battery life, easily replaceable batteries) and MIL-STD-810H.
we’re talking hinge durability, drop on floor durability, drop coffee on it and have the coffee travel around the electronics and drip 💧 on the bottom of it through a designated drip hole 🕳️, also various temperature range that it’s supposed to operate in. about the CRUs thin laptops most likely have tons soldered on the board and they can’t have CRUs anymore.
they say the last great thinkpad was the T480 for all the reasons above.

#

The T480 is still sold and used as a very reliable notebook. It’s the last of its kind. After that, all manufacturers pushed the pedal on accelerated e-waste production, blocking the way to reusability or long-term usage.

#

I guess we’re just in a different era now..

amber raptor
#

At least where I’ve seen, no one cares about serviceability, they get a service plan, user hands in laptop to helldesk, gets a new one and laptop gets sent to manf for service.

wise loom
# amber raptor At least where I’ve seen, no one cares about serviceability, they get a service ...

in the corporate world yes nobody cares.
but before all manufacturers started copying Apple, there was an aftermarket, you can get right now 2 broken old T-series for $30 each, swap some components, mix'n'match and get an enterprise-grade excellent laptop.
I think right-to-repair needs to be supported, otherwise we end up with mountains of unusable e-waste in countries that import trash, and an industry of recovering copper/etc from electronics.
the full lifecycle of the product needs to be taken into consideration.

here's what the full lifecycle looks like (or used to look like)
brand new product -> sold to corporation -> company does hardware refresh and sells old units on ebay in pallets -> individual buyers or refurbish/used goods hardware stores buy them -> new happy user -> eventually throws it away -> ends up in mountain of unusable e-waste because it's too old -> may get shipped to a country where agreements are signed to export and store garbage -> electronics get dismantled, all components get stripped, copper is recovered, very small amounts of gold and silver, etc

with Apple's way, they remove an element in this lifecycle, it's not that great.

#

also soldering all the things together in a single package onto the board, CPU, GPU, RAM is very weird actually.
not only that, but Apple goes one step further, because they include anti-tampering and cryptographic modules.
everything is proprietary and untouchable. even if you did open the lid on the M1/M2/M3/M4, it will be damaged the second you open it.
you can't even look inside it, it's made such that it's going to be damaged the moment you open it.
you literally don't own it at all, you just "rent" it.

#

Maybe Apple should just join John Deere, Monsanto, BMW in the hall-of-fame of monopolistic, against-repairability, subscription-based, short-term thinking, planned obsolescence companies of the world.

#

or did you mean some other than Apple

wise loom
# vocal basin they already are there

Lenovo is on the brink of entering this hall of fame, hopefully it doesn't.
There are still models in each E,T,P,L series that have many CRUs and are specifically made to be repairable and serviceable.

I'm sorry my original message was ambiguous and may appear sexiest.

My intention was to have a question and discussion, about technology like a pregnancy robot which can take the privilege of paid maternity leave.

Because any profitable business would not like to have paid leave, if it was feasible for them to have such measures they can opt for such measures.

I specifically mentioned the developed world (Developed Country) because in developing Country this measure may not be financially feasible and encouraged.

And I also mentioned the pleasure robot because, many man choose not to have a relationship with women but they do care about such desires.

Sure, but query analyzer is probably helping disk access. SQLite has no choice but load alot into memory so at smaller query sets, SQLite will be faster. When you exceed disk fits in memory, Postgres will probably start to be better. Also, Single vs Multiaccess

what was the question?

stray dawn
#

Question 1: Palindrome Permutation Counter

Write a Python program that takes a string as input and counts how many distinct permutations of that string are palindromes.

Example: "aabb" → 2 (palindromes: "abba", "baab")

Constraints: No built-in itertools.permutations. You must use loops and string/list operations.

#

i am not able to find a way to get all palandroms

paper wolf

#

can we do it using sorting 1st

first group the chars into a hash map where the key was the char and the value was the ammount of the char on the string divided by 2 then you just permutate it

There are some starting tutorials in the resources page.

If you get stuck with understanding anything, stare at it for a little while, and if you're still stuck, see the how to get help channel.

#

Be prepared to frequently feel unequal to the task.

#

Just keep chipping away at what you can.

#

If something isn't working and you've really hit a wall, breathe, maybe come back to it later. Maybe look at something else in the meantime.

#

Feeling completely lost is normal.

#

Learning enough small things can unlock the understanding of some other thing, and unlocking enough of those things can help unlock a greater thing again.

#

You'll make things more complicated than they need to be. You'll make things more difficult than they need to be.

From form, let function flow. From function, let form flow. If your code is beautiful, it will probably run well. If it runs well, it will probably be beautiful.

#
The Zen of Python, by Tim Peters

Beautiful is better than ugly.
Explicit is better than implicit.
Simple is better than complex.
Complex is better than complicated.
Flat is better than nested.
Sparse is better than dense.
Readability counts.
Special cases aren't special enough to break the rules.
Although practicality beats purity.
Errors should never pass silently.
Unless explicitly silenced.
In the face of ambiguity, refuse the temptation to guess.
There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it.
Although that way may not be obvious at first unless you're Dutch.
Now is better than never.
Although never is often better than right now.
If the implementation is hard to explain, it's a bad idea.
If the implementation is easy to explain, it may be a good idea.
Namespaces are one honking great idea -- let's do more of those!

vocal basin

imo really should be after=&before= with ISO datetimes

400 not 404

that one

after can be defaulted to the beginning of time
before can be defaulted to today

however

vocal basin
#

it depends a lot on what those events represent

limpid portal
#

Events that you can go in person

vocal basin
#

what's going to happen, not what happened?

#

then more difficult

#

you can't default to before=now

#

then 100 soonest not 100 latest

#

and after=now by default

#

and order=asc by default

limpid portal
#

sorry?

vocal basin

long time ago we were talking about default query behaviours and there was a thing I was going to mention:
