CS2 tournament ads are truly something:
a Russian company using Russian actors to advertise a betting site to Russian people using Russian memes
in English language during a European tournament
@rugged root imagine Perl
@upper basin it's literally just a VPS
it clones during startup
I forgot about all the various wacky TLDs
there is no branch, you still need to commit and push
mrhemlock.wang
mrhemlock.rodeo
Ah here we go: mrhemlock.faith
.meme is also reasonably priced
mrhemlock.unstoppable
In hemlock we trust
mrhemlock.pudgy
mrhemlock.bald
mrhemlock.boomer
mrhemlock.rad
yo i cant speak yet
can someone help me with trying
to import a module
its a .py file that my code is saying doesnt exist
@gilded rivet Yo
im on linux and i am doing this through vim if that changes anything
hemlock u good at python
Ish. Are you trying to run the file from the same directory as the files are in?
me back
Let's not use retarded in a disparaging way, please
Looking
i checked and made sure that the directory is correct so thats not really a problem
very hateable web design
all these links are the same
Hmm
Ah yeah, that'd do it
Yoooooooooooooooooooo
Do ls for me?
Sinthrill's Horse Folder
to add the diffrent file directory
Use pathlib to get to it
Makes life a lot easier
pathlib is nicer
pathlib is better, and more cross platform
Wait, is THEPASSWORD a .py file or just a file
I mean the easiest thing is just to make sure they're in the same directory
Python really isn't a secure language in that regard
Anyone can open a .py file and see it
Ah fair enough
Hmm
Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap back later
Sorry
Work issue again
Convert it to JSON, for extra security use an encrypted zip or tarball. Then you don’t have to import it you just run with open(‘/path/to/file’, ‘r’) as passwords:
Are you on-call IT?
I'm in the office. If I'm on Discord, I'm in the office
did NOT understand that last part
but il js put them in the directory
since i am NOT botherd
i have a idea though
yo is there a way to make a sertain directory require sudo perms to cd into
or is some encryption software going to have to do that
FOUND OUT
Im unsure I dont use linux
@spark girder
i have english issue so that's why i hesistance to speak than typing
Dude you’re good, no one’s perfect!
@alpine crater Hi. What game is this?
this is actually the most fun
iv ever had making a project
but thanks to @rugged root & @spark girder
god some people just concede when they get a bad opening hand :/
what even is that game about
Hey guys i want one suggestion
winning
what
getting the other person hp to 0
truly one of ways to describe a game
yep
but the thing is when i speak my mind gets washed out of words
now i trying everyday little bit to improve it daily by practising and listening you all guys
@wind raptor did you see split fiction?
No

i need help again
👋
😭
ok
so im tryanna encrypt my files and only decrypt them once i give the right password
but uhhh
il js show you
Hey Guys is there any feature in Turtle module or tkinter. i want to hide Turtle1 Drawings when it coincides with Turtle2 Drawings. I can show you what i want in vc?
This sounds super shady
How do you think ransomware works
is this for fun
its my python code
or for serious use
because storing passwords is much more than encrypting a file
you need to do shit like zero out the ram on program exit
im only rlly encrypting the string variable
if someone knew my root pasword they could techniccly just find it
just saying
but im doing this for practise to put my programming into use
security is hard to get right
ik but its something
its fun to play with, dont get me wrong
alr now back to my issue
but I would never trust something I wrote myself
(I say as I am writitng a frontend framework to use myself)
I really need to start using marks in nvim
this
uhh its giving this error
im using cryptography
the fernet function in particular
Is there a reason why your password is in a set instead of just a string?
dont
as I said, passwords managers are complex
they do a lot more than just encrypt the passwords
(for all means, do make one, just dont actually use it)
alr
Holy fuck I have been on call with USPS for the last 20 MINUTES TALKING TO A FUCKING CHATBOT 😭
though im keeping the words in there just incase i need to remember them since i have horrid memory
im pretty sure they can be bugged out so you talk to someone real
but still can you help with the issue
i dont know why fernet isnt working
havent used crypto stuff much, sorry
Your passwords need to be a string, not a set. you can separate them by newlines (\n) or any other separator so that you can load them later.
ah
and the rust borrow checker strikes again
so its the fact i have it as a array
is the problem
😭
how unfortunute i love abusing arrays
ok
i got what i wanted out of this
honestly
yeah this project is getting deleted
or smth
idk
it was a set, not an array though
{} = set
[] = array/list
okay I finally defeated the boss without healing
bruh
lord almighty
which one?
while also looking this up, in a game without pause during boss battle
You’re supposed to just keep saying “Human Support” but it kept hearing anything BUT human support
not voice call ai 💔
yeah i thought it ment the object i set, though it probebly would have said argument
thinking more into it
Invading Executioner (Code Vein)
oh gods that sounds like a harmful feature, spending money should not be that easy
ITS DOING IT AGAIN
NO
im not talking about a atribute will it shut up about that
rehg
CBC
ah, that's why I don't remember this one
wait
I really prefer stream ciphers, for subjective irrational reasons
since encode() is a function cant i just do it before hand to avoid my syntax getting messed up
...
i imported fernet wrong
encode works on strings, so you can use it anywhere you have a string
i think thats the problem
i dont think anything will go wrong if i just import cryptography as a whole
you still can't pass a set to the encrypt() function
even if it's full of encoded strings
programming crimes
def yolo_encode(s):
match s:
case bytes(): return s
case str(): return s.encode()
try: return yolo_encode(s.encode())
except Exception: ...
try: return bytes(s)
except Exception: ...
return str(s).encode()
its a array now
still being annoying
wait
am i using the wrong function
by string, I mean encoded string (bytes)
yes
Run.shape("Course\Course_Day23\running.png")
Run.goto(-600,150)
Guys why there is a error
raise TurtleGraphicsError("Bad arguments for register_shape.\n"
turtle.TurtleGraphicsError: Bad arguments for register_shape.
Use help(register_shape)
when putting self in a argument what can you put for it whne calling the function
are you saying to me?
I've just discovered that on one of the next bosses you don't actually need to dodge some attacks, if you stay close enough to the boss

Norway vs Sweden on road damage response is so hilarusly different
like we drove into sweden and saw a "road damaged sign", being norwegian we expected the road to just be gone.... it was a tiny crack on the side you were never hitting.
thats what 99% of nowegian roads always looks like
we have 80 km/h roads where you cant fit two cars (and its not a one way road)
if some place has worse roads than Russia, then I'm definitely afraid of living in that place

@wind raptor and Hemlock being in VC overrules the weekend to start at 0 UTC #voice-chat-text-0 message
lets hope all tests go green 😛

JS provides ways to construct objects with methods without prototypes
just return objects with functions as values
and store private state in variables
@wind raptor just like with Web Components, classes in ES aren't something new that people are too slow to adopt, they're just a bad idea implemented questionably
I should prolly remove the mutation tests as a hard-fail for the test suit
some mutations just arent practical to test
(like one it found was swapping += 1 for *= 1, which all it does is make the code not hit the reference cycle prevention check)
I am gonna go grab some candy to celebrate, brb

Non-hereditary hemochromatosis, also known as "non-HFE hemochromatosis," is caused by mutations in genes other than the HFE gene, primarily affecting proteins involved in iron regulation like hemojuvelin (HJV), hepcidin (HAMP), transferrin receptor 2 (TFR2), and ferroportin (SLC40A1), leading to excessive iron absorption and accumulation in the body; essentially, the body doesn't have the proper signals to stop absorbing iron when stores are full

@vocal basin hi wanted to ask you about topics you think are suitable for someone at an intermediate level
ive been coding in py every day since we first added each other
would like some word of advice from you
we have been bottling up water just in case
is it an os or a software
be specific
are you currently taking any formal software engineering education (school/college/university)?
no im a junior in hs
@woeful blaze https://github.com/codecrafters-io/build-your-own-x?tab=readme-ov-file#build-your-own-operating-system
I personally struggle in creativity
I mean
I have decent prerequisite knowledge about everything ive been toying with algorithms
many robots run on microcontrollers, which dont use a os to begin with
i just cant figure out a larger-scale project to make that isnt like
"top 10 python projects" something outside of that window
got these written to make today / tmr
any other hobbies you have? thats sometimes a good inspiration for projects
you can ask people around you (IRL or in non-tech groups) for what problems they want solved that could potentially be solved with software
also
!kindling
The Kindling projects page on Ned Batchelder's website contains a list of projects and ideas programmers can tackle to build their skills and knowledge.
fair enough i havent ventured into my own personal intterests
probably why efforts feel so arbitrary
alright awesome my mom said shed like an event scheduling program which in hindsight is fairly easy but i was imagining i add features like
an sms list or notification
sorta fun stuff
:D thank you
was on the verge of wondering if im suited for this stuff cz i love algos but sucked at being creative
sometimes problems just fall in your lap
one project i made (which got 30 stars) was just because I didnt find a library for something I wanted while working on another project
I started writing Python in late 2017, and I've been developing projects others rely on since early 2018
so that accelerated learning quite a lot
(that project being https://github.com/vivax3794/error_mancer/ )
is mine too complex? 🙃
im seeing a common theme with you and Viv here
ill give it a look
(I meant my name)
do you guys contribute to random projects?
I dont.
mainly because there are no tools I use where I feel invested enough to give them my dev time
and I have other hobby projects that I like to work on
fair enough
i kept seeing post about contributions on the internet for FOMO purposes but i skim through github and struggle to find something that creates a lightbulb above my head
huhhhh, I just hit a random nvim keybinding
and it opended a random file from my nvim config
Also I'm not morning star
I have a single contribution to one of rust-lang repos
out of spite
actually out of desperation
so it seems like if its needed then do

Surface-mount technology (SMT), originally called planar mounting, is a method in which the electrical components are mounted directly onto the surface of a printed circuit board (PCB). An electrical component mounted in this manner is referred to as a surface-mount device (SMD). In industry, this approach has largely replaced through-hole techn...
In electronics, through-hole technology (also spelled "thru-hole") is a manufacturing scheme in which leads on the components are inserted through holes drilled in printed circuit boards (PCB) and soldered to pads on the opposite side, either by manual assembly (hand placement) or by the use of automated insertion mount machines.
An electronic component is any basic discrete electronic device or physical entity part of an electronic system used to affect electrons or their associated fields. Electronic components are mostly industrial products, available in a singular form and are not to be confused with electrical elements, which are conceptual abstractions representing...
A via (Latin, 'path' or 'way') is an electrical connection between two or more metal layers of a printed circuit boards (PCB) or integrated circuit. Hello, does anyone know any pytorch discord servers
where i can ask some help from for my ml stuff
ITS JUST TORCH
ALSO, ASK ME ANY QUESTION YOU HAVE ABOUT TORCH
i think they fucked it up
It is really complicated
you can't see the #data-science-and-ml channel?
I can not share screen
we don't grant screen sharing permissions before voice permissions, sorry
I meant the /torch discord
ah
bruh
Ok I will try to explain my problem in short description first
yeah, if it's an issue with their verification system, you should ask their mods, nothing we can do about that afaik
So I am using ViT for some classification problem but it is not learning. So I am wondering what the issues are

nvm I'm also now too tired to read code

hopefully
I will use a remote desktop software or some
1 sec
src is short for source
OK
CAN U DOWNLOAD ANYDESK
for virus u need c++
also pls dont dox me accidentlly

but the output logits are still the same
it has no weight
I am feeding in 224x224 image im not sure if thats the problem (original img is ~800x~800)
yes
it is a multi classifcation problem
criterion = torch.nn.CrossEntropyLoss()

it will crash
i have not

I think its pytorch's fault
i k some people code .cu stuff
which is crackhead beahvaiour
I already can not debug pytorch and people code in .cu
idk
I am thinking maybe the image size i resize to is too small
so all of them are segmentations of the same img
just different regions
the input is 224x224 resized region images
the output should be the diease it has
BUT ITS NOT WORKING
im wondering if 224x224 is too small?
so
hold on
is it becasue the img size is too small
or the model im using sucks
i have to use ViT
im using b8-16
the segments are large
i have no transform
i got image processeor

What sort of error are you getting?
It's something with an import because I didn't delete a file yesterday that was named the file extension I imported it again but it gave me an error on that and I just wanted to know how I can share on screen so I don't have to take screenshots which I know isn't against the rules but it's not very good courtesy

respected ik∅, as you can see, This is student exam paper.
need to auto score this exam.
yup
so i used Open API key for score mark, and use google clould vision API key for extract text. after extract text from above exam paper. and then send text to gpt. and get response.
but I have got problem
todepond works on a related project, but said project is more focused on answering rather than scoring
just solve one problem.
how to extracrt correct text from follow image?
need 3*2/3
but result is 323
use opencv to determine the area-of-interest and reduce it to a polygon, use the polygon to clip the relevant part of the image, feed that clipped image to an OCR, one that can produce LaTeX.
use the LLM to evaluate teh question and provide an answer of its own.
now, use SymPy to check if the expression from the image, matches the reasoning of the LLM
respected ik∅ need OCR name
even if two expressions A and B may look different, they can still be the same if evaluated (so numerically) or even symbolically, so unevaluated. SymPy can help with that, to some extent, for easy things.
hello

Verbs are classified into three conjugation groups based on the thematic vowel: –a for the 1st conjugation (e.g., estudar), –e for the 2nd conjugation (e.g., receber), and –i for the 3rd conjugation (e.g., dormir). The formation of simple verb tenses involves an invariant stem, a thematic vowel, a temporal suffix that indicates tense and mood, and a personal ending. The text also addresses cases where some of these elements may be absent, such as the thematic vowel in the present subjunctive.
The book further examines the use of verbs in the present subjunctive as well as in both affirmative and negative imperatives. It explains the conjugation of various verbs, including “medir” and “pedir,” along with others like “agredir” and “denegrir,” highlighting their rizotonic forms in the present indicative. In addition, it points out exceptions in the conjugation of third conjugation verbs ending in –ir, such as “tossir” and “engolir.” Specific models for the verbs “friar” and “acudir” are provided, illustrating their forms in the indicative, subjunctive, and imperative moods. Notably, the discussion includes verbs that display irregularities in vowel alternation, such as “frigir” and “acudir.”
Phonetic variation is also discussed, particularly for first conjugation verbs, with attention to the differences in the pronunciation of closed and semi-closed vowels between European and Brazilian Portuguese. Specific exceptions, such as “cheirar” and “lograr,” are mentioned, as they follow distinct patterns depending on the presence of diphthongs or adjacent consonants.```
A detailed table of Portuguese verb conjugations is presented, focusing on tenses and moods. The formation of compound tenses is explained through the compound gerund (past) formed by the gerund of “ter” or “haver” together with the past participle of the main verb.
The relationship between verbs and nouns is explored through derivational patterns that connect a verb to its corresponding noun. Improper derivation—where words change grammatical class without formal alteration—is also discussed.
The book addresses verb complements, focusing on direct objects and the placement of pronouns relative to the verbs, with rules for proclisis and enclisis. Possessive pronouns are examined as well, highlighting their use beyond merely expressing possession or direct belonging.
Furthermore, the text explores the use and characteristics of verbs in contemporary Portuguese, particularly those that do not follow complete conjugational patterns. It mentions irregular past participles that have fallen out of use and are employed as adjectives, as well as impersonal and unipersonal verbs. Defective verbs, which lack a full conjugation due to disuse or awkward pronunciation, are also discussed.```

The initial part of the book focuses on web scraping techniques, including extracting images from photo-sharing sites, and offers an intriguing project where the 2048 game is played automatically using simulated keystrokes. It also introduces a link verification tool to identify broken links on webpages. The second part expands into automating file organization, document manipulation (including Excel, PDFs, and CSVs), scheduling tasks, sending emails and texts, image manipulation, and GUI automation through keyboard and mouse controls.
Among the notable projects are transferring social media posts between networks, compiling data from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Wikipedia to create a movie encyclopedia project, and downloading weather data using the `requests` module. More recent additions include assigning chores randomly via email, sending umbrella reminders based on rain forecasts, auto-unsubscribing from emails with IMAP and BeautifulSoup, and executing commands through email instructions.
Additional projects cover managing passwords with command-line arguments, automatic form filling, extracting phone numbers and emails using regular expressions, and combining select pages from PDFs with PyPDF2. A quiz generator project is highlighted for its use of dictionaries to store data, shuffle questions, and write content to files.```
These projects illustrate Python's versatility in automating tasks ranging from file management and web scraping to GUI automation. The book discusses third-party modules like Twilio for sending text messages, BeautifulSoup and Selenium for web interactions, and the threading module for concurrent processing applications such as an image downloader. These examples showcase a wide range of possibilities in Python automation involving messaging, web interaction, and concurrent processing.```

What is the library to access the clipboard on Windows on Python?
The user query seeks to identify a library suitable for accessing the clipboard on Windows using Python. While the document discusses numerous programming topics, it does not specifically address clipboard access in detail. However, relevant information is provided regarding commonly used libraries such as `pyperclip` and `win32clipboard`. These libraries facilitate interaction with the clipboard by offering functions like `copy()` and `paste()`, which allow for easy data transfer between applications.
The document highlights `pyperclip` as a particularly useful library that must be installed separately, as it is not included with Python by default. It provides practical examples of its usage, such as accessing clipboard contents to open Google Maps with an address retrieved from the clipboard when no command line arguments are provided. This demonstrates how `pyperclip` can be effectively used for clipboard operations on Windows.
Additionally, the document describes combining `pyperclip` with the `shelve` module to manage clipboard data associated with keywords stored in a shelf file. This approach enhances usability by allowing users to interact with clipboard data without directly modifying source code.
While the text chunk does not specifically focus on accessing the clipboard on Windows using Python, it lists various programming concepts and modules such as threading, web scraping with BeautifulSoup and Selenium, working with files, and handling exceptions. Despite this broader scope, the document confirms that libraries like `pyperclip` and `win32clipboard` are relevant for interacting with the clipboard in a Windows environment.```
In addressing the specific query about accessing the clipboard on Windows via Python, the document confirms that `pyperclip` remains the primary library used for this purpose. Despite exploring various tools and libraries throughout its chapters, it does not introduce an alternative to `pyperclip`, thereby reinforcing its status as a widely recognized solution for clipboard operations on Windows platforms.
The book also touches upon other libraries like PyAutoGUI and Pillow; however, these are noted to be unrelated to clipboard functionalities. This distinction helps clarify the scope of each tool's application within Python automation tasks.
Overall, "Automate the Boring Stuff with Python" provides a thorough exploration of different tools and techniques, while clearly establishing `pyperclip` as the go-to library for accessing the Windows clipboard in Python.```
The library used to access the clipboard on Windows through Python is `pyperclip`. While PyAutoGUI can manage GUI automation and keyboard shortcuts, it does not specifically handle clipboard operations. Therefore, `pyperclip` is the preferred choice for clipboard tasks on Windows systems when using Python. The document confirms that `pyperclip` facilitates clipboard access in this context. However, a previous section did not mention any specific library for clipboard functions, indicating an oversight of pertinent information. This contradiction highlights the earlier text's omission of a direct reference to the necessary library.```

To access the clipboard on Windows using Python, the library `pyperclip` is recommended. While there may be other alternatives available, they are not specified here. The information provided does not mention any specific alternative libraries, ensuring consistency with the existing summary without contradiction. Other unnamed options might exist but are not detailed in this context.
Q: What are some common methods used on lists?
Chapter 4 of "Automate the Boring Stuff with Python" delves into various list operations, including methods like `index()`, `append()`, `insert()`, `remove()`, and `sort()`. These methods are essential for adding, inserting, removing, or sorting elements within a list. The `sort()` method offers additional functionality by allowing reverse order sorting and custom ordering through key functions.
List manipulation also involves checking membership using the `in` keyword and employing multiple assignment for efficient handling. Augmented operators such as `+=` and `-=` further facilitate list modifications. Indexing enables access to individual elements via integer indices, while negative indices allow reverse traversal. Slicing provides a way to obtain sublists by specifying a range with two integers.
Lists can contain other lists, enabling access to nested elements through multiple indices. Common methods for interacting with lists include indexing, slicing, membership testing with `in`, and iteration using loops. Since lists are mutable, their elements can be modified directly. Iteration is typically performed using `for` and `while` loops. Unlike lists, strings are immutable and cannot be altered in place.```
```Tuples resemble lists but are also immutable; however, type conversion between them is possible using the list() and tuple() functions. Methods like append(), extend(), insert(), del, and list comprehensions allow for in-place modifications of lists. The text discusses list concatenation and iteration with for loops as efficient data management techniques, though these are not methods specific to lists themselves.
Accessing indexes can be done using range(len(list)), while checking membership is achieved with in and not in. Python functions such as print(), input(), and len() are used alongside lists for displaying content, receiving input, and measuring length. Conditional statements (if, else, elif) facilitate decision-making but do not directly address list-specific methods.
While the text covers broader programming concepts like conditions and loops, specific list operations remain central to effective manipulation. Functions can streamline repetitive tasks involving lists, enhancing efficiency within their scope. Variables store references to lists, meaning modifications affect the original list unless copied using copy() or deep-copied with deepcopy() to prevent changes to the original.
Lists can be formatted across multiple lines for readability without impacting functionality. The text also describes processing CSV files by reading data, skipping headers, appending rows, and writing back results using csv.writer. This involves looping over file names, utilizing a CSV reader to bypass the first row, and saving subsequent rows to new files, showcasing practical list manipulation in file handling.```
Common methods for lists include modifying them in place (e.g., `append()`, `extend()`), copying with `copy()`, and deep copying with `deepcopy()`. The `list()` function is used for type conversion, emphasizing the importance of understanding mutable versus immutable objects. Additionally, passing references, copying, and managing data structures are integral to working with lists in Python.
