WHATS THE FIRST RULE MAN
Fighting?
@rugged root can I get temp stream rights
As a Gen Z person I do not condone this language
it's more of an interjection
with big yk
unfortunately I know enough about weird words to be aware of this being incorrect
xd
Glizzy'd doughnut.
Yeah thatβs the incorrect operator my friend
spelled with double t usually
idk how it comes to my mind to ask from you Hemlock but I want to unlock voice verified π
I need streaming rights .. please .. π
Iβm a Gen Z kid working almongst Gen Xs and the dynamics are interesting
They ask me what this stuff means because their kids use the words π

people in the office I work at use way more of modern slang than I do
forsooth!
I have 26 messages but when this message sent then its 27 so now I have 27 messages, I need 23 messages to get 50 messages in total so I can finally get Voice Verified π
good morning* then
at least you aren't spamming messages
Agreed
spam is undesireable except when it is fried with teriyaki sauce and served over a ball of rice
then it's delicious
me trying to speak that way really does feel like "how do you do fellow kids" fit-in attempt, and I'm not that old

you're not that far in terms of message count

@rugged root do you wanna hear something?
so I was in school today and we celebrated the halloween and we held a costume contest
and someone just says: "Hi I'm Drake"
The whole school laughing
We have jokes about Drake
like Drake is flirting with kids only
excuse me while I pull out the horse head mask I've been using since 2005
Drake has kids in her basement
Yeah let's not make jokes like that

I think they've switched to an AI thing
that was a serious joke π
I got the answer. Issue is that it's updating a, but i and j are not updated, so everytime we iterate over i and j, it's the old values, so it's not using the i and j from the most recent definition of a.

Hemlock has tried to help with that same issue before I think

@lime fractal do you pay extra for a static/public IP?
Idk
if your network is behind NAT, then you can't really do anything other than rely on something like UPnP
if the ISP has static IP as a paid service, that might be an option too
I hear woof woofs
what do you mean by "block"?
likely port forwarding is not doing anything in your case because of NAT
howdy doody @midnight agate
your external IP is not really your IP, it's shared between your router and a few other routers
room gets full on Fridays
likely
The ips is blocking me form sending server to open
cyberdevilsecurity said i had all good but ips blocked me
"block" is probably the wrong term
.
you can think of that as your computer behind not just your router, but also ISP's router;
and port forwarding is only set up on your router
go to your ISP's website, find the list of services, check if it has paid static IP
I turn firewall of form pc and portforward only
Im in website where
Where is that
Emmm
I dont know where i pay for
How i see
Static ip changes right when i restart
then it's not static
phone your ISP and ask them to give you a static IP for hosting. they will give you a plan with a fee.
alternatively you can buy a vps from aws, azure, digital ocean, cloudflare, etc.
for free -- likely not
Why not i have wifi right
but does it have a crypto miner like Brave does
@rugged root there was some thing like "you mine crypto instead of seeing ads"
That.... yikes
as in you need to endorse Brave not to suffer from it
@lime fractal if you want to limit who joins, use a real VPN (like Hamachi, not like NordVPN);
don't use it for that
that's a proxy-like VPN
you need a real one
download hamachi, use hamachi;
if you're unsatisfied with performance, look for other options
Firefox+Ublock Origin saves you from most of the ads
so based of them to have vpn.net domain
Wonder if GameSpy is still a thing. Wait was that what it was...
There were a few other things like that
evolve
maybe some other
most of those are VPNs
with routing limited to a subnet
as it should be
another one we were using is zerotier
I think part of their infrastructure is open-source
how to get IP
option 1: pay for static IP
option 2: pay for VPN
option 3: use a free VPN (e.g. hamachi)
all users need to download hamachi in this case
there's an option to create a network
then all players need to join it
play over Tor is another option
but they'll have to install Tor
it's been >5 years

@gilded coral Do my examples make sense re: explaining your issue?
not really but I figured it out
it helps when the rest of the code is actually made right
The basic thrust of it is, list is a builtin variable. It exists in Python as it gets started up. If you, in your code, do something likepy list = ...then you are "shadowing" that builtin. It no longer refers to the list class, as it ought, but to whatever ... is.
Meaning when you go to use list, expecting it to work as per default, it fails because it's now pointing at the thing you reassigned it to.

what language
if u dont mind me asking
is any tips like professional level
yeah id say that too
are you new to programming or just learning web dev?
umm generally learning python , but at the backend i dont know what language to choose??
id say python would be nice for back end
not for front end
i can actually speak on that topic @timid marten
but its a nice general purpose language
I'd chose as a career
is that good
or it is dead by AI??
yeah im about to take computer science bsc in university
I've met some pretty decent intermediate dev with knowledge in alot of fields BUT those people aren't easy to find. especially with how the CS field is majorly and constantly growing
did i make a bad choice
should focus on the programming fundamentals first
like??
learn a language first, create projects to help you learn things like OOP etc, which will help you understand how basic i/o things work
can you just tell which will be suitable , there are many like node js php im not sure?
well yeah all languages have advantages and disadvantages
cool , do i need DSA??
data structure and algorithm
that would be somewhat last but learn the basics of the programming language choosen
Python is good for backend because itβs easy to read and has powerful libraries for tasks like working with databases and APIs. However, itβs not used much for frontend work because web browsers run on JavaScript
I am not highly skilled myself but on the stage where im trying to cope with complex projects and get the information inside my head.
yeh
Once you learn programming, the language really depends on the performance needs
it must be quite difficult
quite*
its not rocket science
yeh sometimes it is hard
After fundamentals and little projects , what should i do?

I'll wait. No worries.
somehow managed to accidentally screenshot it at peak ping
now doing all the achievements that are left
tetris effect was probably the longest to complete
100 hours to get to max level
isn't there a loss of precision the way it currently is
the original data should be as close to perfect as possible

or are you using 32 bit
np.complex128
and another game took 168 hours to get one of the achievements
thankfully that's just idling
H_unitary_matrix = np.array([
[cmath.sqrt(0.5), cmath.sqrt(0.5)],
[cmath.sqrt(0.5), -cmath.sqrt(0.5)]

... and a 17th "perfect" game
Be on soon, have to call a vendor
and now it's time to finish reading the tutorial
hehe.
those are tabs, likely, not spaces
single line, no spaces, perfectly consistent
the game came with a 360MB PDF
time to read it
it's just an art book
so expected to be big
chrome lags a bit
trying to render it
ig not greyed out enough
greyed out, overlayed but not disabled

I think you can do that in O(N) not involving sorting
sorting is O(NlogN)
although
hmm
nvm it seems fine mostly
@cobalt seal @icy pine π
it's not as bad as NlogN actually here
hey
Have a look at big O notation magister.
yeah, the logarithm is compensated by the need for different counts
where there is a potential for optimisation, is where you need to yield some results on the fly
!d ast
Source code: Lib/ast.py
The ast module helps Python applications to process trees of the Python abstract syntax grammar. The abstract syntax itself might change with each Python release; this module helps to find out programmatically what the current grammar looks like.
An abstract syntax tree can be generated by passing ast.PyCF_ONLY_AST as a flag to the compile() built-in function, or using the parse() helper provided in this module. The result will be a tree of objects whose classes all inherit from ast.AST. An abstract syntax tree can be compiled into a Python code object using the built-in compile() function.

There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it.
