hhhhh yeah
You know you can always reach out to me. I'm always here for you, bud
Ik you don't like hearing from me but listen up. Stop being such a sassy person and drop your attitude towards me. We all really missed you. π
I know sir, and I love you 2^N, but it's one of those things that just has no solution, so no point in upsetting you for no reason. But I immensely appreciate the kind gesture boss.
I'm not sassy.
Yes u r sir
Omg ace, we're all proud of you, you work really hard. Also you helped me a lot when I was new here. I totally appreciate it. I hope you get back to yourself mister. You were always amazing.
The first smartest and intelligent guy I talked with in this server. When I was new here

Even if there's no solution, and I don't mind sharing the burden. You know that about me
I know, but it wouldn't sit well with me to upset you with my problems when you have your more than fair share already. Seems selfish of me.

Appreciate it L.t. Wilco.

Field hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with 11 players in total, made up of 10 field players and a goalkeeper. Teams must move a hockey ball around a field by hitting it with a hockey stick towards the rival team's shooting circle and then into the goal. The match is won by ...

Cherry Ripe is a brand of chocolate bar manufactured by Cadbury Australia. Introduced by the Australian confectioner MacRobertson's in 1924, it is now one of Australia's oldest chocolate bars and is one of the top chocolate bar brands sold in the country. It consists of cherries and coconut coated with dark chocolate.

@vocal basin
using client variable name instead of bot is an anti-pattern, as far as I'm aware
(coming from earlier versions of the libraries where bots weren't an inherent concept)
bot_latecy unused?
Should I remove it?
there's actually an @bot.hybrid_command, iirc
what's the purpose of the ping command there?
if to get the value of bot.latency , then maybe output it in the message
or log it if you don't want users to see but still want to be able to get the value
though in case of not wanting users to access something, it's better to restrict command permissions through decorators
Hm

Scott Aaronson - Quantum Computing since Democritus (book for introducing quantum mechanics at a layman level)
Nielson and Chuang - Quantum Computing and Quantum Information (book for covering almost all topics at a facial level, though best used with prior understanding of the basics)
Pocket guide for Qiskit (book for teaching Qiskit, the most popular gate-based quantum computing package)
Sheldon Axler - Linear Algebra Done Right 3rd edition (book covering all aspects of linear algebra starting from 0 and building up to graduate school level)
Quantum Machine Learning (youtube series by Professor Peter Wittek from University of Toronto)
@upper basin are you in machine learning?
@upper basin Audio dying.
5000 ping.
So, try to read the two chapters of Scott Aaronson book, then watch the yt series. Once you understand those, move to Pocket guide for Qiskit, and experiment a bit.
If you want to learn the proper mathematics underlying it use the Sheldon Axler book (again depending on use-case and need can do either the whole book or just until middle of chapter 3).
@silver shoal @sharp bolt π
Mathematically speaking, you can learn everything about quantum mechanics if you do :
Linear Algebra -> Tensor Algebra (generalization of Linear Algebra)
Probability and statistics
Put these together and you have the basic math course for quantum mechanics.
Tensor algebra only if you finish the Axler book first.
Personally trying to learn it myself, so not familiar enough to suggest a book.
No, I learned that a few years ago.
Umm, I learned it through my highschool, so not sure what book in english is best.
You just need to understand what a probability distribution is, and how to manipulate and sample from a distribution.
In quantum mechanics, a quantum state is a probability distribution, where you evolve a state by applying quantum operators, which give you a new state (different distribution, ergo how a distribution is manipulated), and later on to extract a state you need to sample from it.

about timezones and stuff
https://youtu.be/saeKBuPewcU
Code involving dates and times is very often broken. This is partly due to poor APIs on many platforms, and partly due to a lack of awareness on the part of developers. Many developers despair when they think about time zones or different calendar systems, but there's good news: it's not really that bad. Obviously it helps if you're using a dece...
I personally don't have a lot of experience with either, so I don't really have a good opinion on it. I just happened to know about the libraries/frameworks
I had very little issues with discord API for bots
but I'm not doing that stuff for profit and not pushing it to the limit
it's always been "applications" but with a clearer separation of the "bot" part
True
it's the applications in the sense that all sites use "applications" name for oauthable things
Yeah I think they wanted to make the term more general, but an "app" definitely not as much of a clearly identifiable thing as a "bot".
Uhhhh
I just plugged in a power adapter and it hissed slightly
Should I be worried?
app on bot users is dumb though
not as much on English UI
but on others, they changed it too
and "app" tends to be a long word
Could be a snake, be careful
compared to "bot" which is just borrowed from English
e.g. in Russian: ΠΏΡΠΈΠ»ΠΎΠΆΠ΅Π½ΠΈΠ΅
that takes up a lot of space
stop using pyinstaller -- step 0
how to fix:
compile it yourself
use git version
it literally says that in docs, as far as I recall seeing
don't use pypi version
You can make a shortcut that launches python with arguments I think?
Oh I know why I didn't know that, I typically use auto-py-to-exe
just .py file on windows if the system is configured correctly
And I'm not sure if that also causes issues
every published compiled pyinstaller version is almost guaranteed to end up in av dbs
Makes sense
also, like
are virus devs that dumb that they use those or is it just that they use a version until it gets into every av because they're lazy
Pretty much @peak nacelle
yaml is worse extended json
toml is better extended ini
@peak nacelle don't store your secrets on user computers
if you need to send secrets to your server, use PKI
Perhaps use a .env file with dotenv?
So I'm mostly seeing that the issue is when you're doing the one-file option for making the .exe
And that one-directory doesn't have as many issues
if you need to store user secrets, use whatever password manager the system provides
(user secrets on user computers)
What like bitwarden?
Gotcha
upgrade them to SunOS
Yeah but like... Oracle
Sun
Ah, okay that explains why that's what I found when I looked
Meanwhile I'm here setting up a Bazzite usb stick.
SunOS virtualbox and Oracle virtualbox visually differ only in the name
one of the people I know had virtualbox instructions for some university stuff
took me some time to notice it was pre merger version
There are some semantic differences between the different RDBMSs I think
SQL dialects are very different
especially in how they handle custom procedures
$20K a month is much
so in the case of Eastern Europe it's 2 not 20
fun fact: I can't earn over $24K annually with my current status
Cya
cya
makes a lvalue ref to vector type
Ooo. That could also double as the mini map
(I'm somewhat away, talking IRL rn)

Hello @thin bison
o/
i hate it when my ears hurt when i wear headphones for a prolonged time period
there should be an ai which can generate tech gifs according to our prompt but the prompt shouldnt be too long
for example - segmentation fault
and the ai will generate gif of the code showing that error
another example - crashing the system with too many epochs
can someone help me i want to make a simulation like these? https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeX7MnQ1/ https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeX7MLhH/
@atomic snow @thin bison
can I help u
yes but do it on ur own I am busy
I don't want to help u learn on ur own
please dont ping people for help
sorry
if you have a question you can post it in #1035199133436354600 or #python-discussion
@tawdry belfry π
hi
I cant talk
I think I need to verify or something by using the server more right?
thanks!
I wish that there was
an easier way to get
verified for voice
so i dont need to send
50 messages
Lol
!
why?
i imagine
a lot of bad things being said
screaming in the mic racial slurs
doesnt sound like
python
@manic cove π
Runtime Error
ooh I guess it
makes sense
yeah I imagine if youre screaming in the mic
you dont have the patience to send messages
50 timess
good point
I guess in the internet
its not always
the more the merrier
the algorithmic moderations are normally
unfair
I imagine with the development of larger language models
moderation becomes easier
yeah unintentional cencorship does become a problem
well also some mediums are harder to censor
such as video chat
or discords
thats why omegle shut down
yeah seriously
i was using it to learn french
and I saw some not so great things
definately not french
but I guess thats where new language models
'come into play
have you seen the new speaking models
like chatgpt came out with a
conversational one
where you can speak to it and it will talk back
that one's insane for certain uses
because it speaks in real time, though I have to say for arbitrary things llm's suck
i found that
copilot is probably
the better
one
at least for coding, but it is the worst for wiriting
and the replication of human speech
Yeah they also such when it comes to divisive prompts
tbf its much much faster than stackoverflow
Have you ever have a dream you were so sure was real? The simulation argument challenges our very notions of reality by asking whether everything we perceive is nothing more than an elaborate computer simulation. Recently, we've even seen headlines like "one in a billion" probability that we live in the real world. Could this be right? How does ...
can that Chatgtp Talk ?

OK topic change Hey, Do you know programing?
maybe they're listening right now..
@somber heath While contemplating the objects of the senses, a person develops attachment for them, and from such attachment lust develops, and from lust anger arises. From anger, complete delusion arises, and from delusion, bewilderment of memory. When memory is bewildered, intelligence is lost, and when intelligence is lost, one falls down again into the material pool and it's the cause of stress.
do u have any children @somber heath
why r u asking personal question?
delusion...
im not talkin to u
You'll be okay if you work at it

Hii man!
Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) decided it would be a great idea to strut his stuff down a busy New York Street. Take away the fun jazzy music and you are left with something... well... painful.
-Mix Minus-
Ever wonder how famous movie scenes would work if you removed the epic music? Well we do.
At Mix Minus we take iconic movie moments... remov...

Albanese Becomes Australia's First Leader to Get Engaged in Office | Vantage with Palki Sharma
Anthony Albanese has become the first Australian prime minister to get engaged in office. He proposed to his partner on Valentine's Day. Albanese is an outlier in the landscape of politics where voters prefer leaders who are happily married. Some othe...

@stable axle this is the eggplant dish I make
looks like pie
auburgine pie
oh
it's effectively a layer cake made from eggplant, tomato sauce, and parmesan
*melanzane
k nice
I cook it in a fritatta pan, and acquiring one of those is actually the hardest part of the recipe
although I guess I could learn metalworking and make one from a pair of frying pans
they not know about the walmart showers
Walmart is the most well-kept secret of road tripping. if you are comfy sleeping in your car, then you can show up to a walmart parking lot and spend the night there, and the 24/7 ones have showers and sometimes even laundry facilities
Plus you can get some slightly edible "food" there
made a quiche yesterday
Although I'm more partial to spending the night at a Planet Fitness parking lot, since then I can get my morning workout in.
with fried julienned onions and red and yellow peppers
and a vast quantity of cheese
and a very buttery crust
If I'm ever taking a shower in a walmart
that sounds like an amazing quiche
something is very wrong
it was
Quick tip for the walmart shower: wear sandals.
for any public shower tbh
i feel like I'd only be using the walmart shower on a crime spree
see also mould infections
It's actually great for truckers.
and serial killers
Truck stops are great for that too. There's one near me where the gas station has not just a dunkin donuts but also an entire pub, a minigolf course, and a brewery.
oh apparently it's called athlete's foot in english
in dutch we just call it foot mould
I had athlete's foot once. Thankfully my insurance covered the treatment.
Thankfully I had insurance at all
Severance pay means I made too much money this year to qualify for medicaid
So I was legally required to buy insurance at full price.
American Healthcare System in a single word.
I have a throat infection, and I am waiting two days before going to the doctor to make sure it is actually bad enough to justify the cost of getting it looked at. Just getting in the door is $50

THESE ANIMALS SMOOTH WITH IT FRRRRR
I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without...
and that's a good thing

Ott's first album. It was released in May 2003 on Twisted Records. The title of the album is a loose German translation of the phrase "flower power"
Spacey strings, chants, otherworldly noises and pertinent samples collide with his massive rub-a-dub beats and bass. OTT s music is ...
egg beaters, onions, peppers (bell and serrano), pineapple, ham, and the glory of msg
with msg being the key ingredient of course.
@stable axle I will not talk
you will not hear my beautiful voice
not today atleast
@somber heath Corey Schafer pandas playlist is also good or not?
I make no secret about my views on Corey Schafer.
