Can you solve this real interview question? Container With Most Water - You are given an integer array height of length n. There are n vertical lines drawn such that the two endpoints of the ith line are (i, 0) and (i, height[i]).
Find two lines that together with the x-axis form a container, such that the container contains the most water.

I'm trying to fix the bottle web framework's bug
can you give me permission the live coding channel?
What error is it giving you?
bottle is using deprecated apis in python3.12, and it's cgi module, which is removed in python3.12, I have an idea to fix it
https://github.com/bottlepy/bottle/issues/1430 Looks like there's an issue open for it? Or potentially a fix being worked on it
yes, this is fixed in main branch, but leaves using the deprecated load_module function
Trying to find a contrib guide
@open gazelle π
hi
Let me tackle a couple more work emails and I can hop down to Live-Coding. Right now what I think you should do is open an issue on their issues page: https://github.com/bottlepy/bottle/issues
Explain the issue and your proposed fix. Then clone the repo and begin work on your fix.
bottle.py is a fast and simple micro-framework for python web-applications. - Issues Β· bottlepy/bottle
Sorry im poor on english listening, I'll try to create issues for what I want to fix
Although they do have a branch for a py 3.13 fix. Not sure if it's trying to fix what you're trying to fix

@rugged root hello
How's it going
looks the author is fixing it by copy his multipart package to bottle. I think we can fix this by using the builtin package email. Maybe this have some concerns for the bottle author
Yeah, that's why I propose making the issue first. See where the maintainers are wanting to go so you don't end up with two conflicting fixes

you in vc?
sort of.. have it in the background while reading up on some web apis
bad experience with workstations then?
yes π¦ .. in my exp local is just better
one disconnect was while i was in gcp (gcp connection timeout?)
other was an ssh disconnect to another platform (pythonanywhere).. the bug was in ssh but still scary to lose work when you try to save and find out you were disconnected ages ago
i decided nopes local env is just better.. have more control over it that way

Oh right nice π
what u need
I'm wondering if I should use rigid or flexible plastic conduit π€
We're redecorating one room currently, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to put an ethernet outlet in.
doesn't really matter that much
flexible is annoying if you ever want to push new cable through it
rigid is more of a pain to fit
i wouldnt use conduit
Oh
also not behind walls?
how do you replace the cable then
99% of business have them laying across the attic and down to server
sure but businesses use wall cable conduits
they don't have cable coming straight out of drywall
not particularly
that's what I've seen so far, anyway
yeah we put outlets on
steel square pipes going up to the ceiling
most run through drywall and we add an outlet
or keystone for cat5/6/whatever
most cable anywhere is bare
just zip tied to conduit or something
that means you need to break out the entire drywall to replace the cable
if you ever need to replace, you electrical tape a new cable to it and pull it
this also might be different by country
that doesn't work if you've zip tied it
where are you having the zip tie
if it's behind the drywall you can't get there to cut it
ill show a couple photos quick, hold on
also which country are you in
youre misunderstanding
Most cable has no conduit up to outlet

for 99% of cable installations, all you need is a glow rod ^ above is 12.99$, and a drill
with a wood bit
This video shows how I installed a new electrical box & coax outlet in a wall. This is a basic installation that can be used for a variety of wires that need to be run in a wall. Such applications can be: speaker wires, flat screen TV wall mount cables, drop cords, etc.... This is very easy to do. Thanks for watching. Enjoy!
heres a step by step thats pretty good
Oh right yeah I was meaning to buy a cable rod π
We don't really have a basement or an attic though, so it's going to have to go under the floorboards.
Walls are either solid brick, or really thick lathe and plaster.
It sounds like someone needs to replace their smoke alarm battery.

A mainframe computer, informally called a mainframe or big iron, is a computer used primarily by large organizations for critical applications like bulk data processing for tasks such as censuses, industry and consumer statistics, enterprise resource planning, and large-scale transaction processing. A mainframe computer is large but not as large...
A mainframe is meant for HUGE numbers of transactions per second. In the trillions at times
so a mainframe is just a huge single computer? (with a lot of units obviously)
Pretty much super computers, yeah
Yeah just a big computer basically π
Only IBM make them now.
I think they also are supposed to have certain requirements regarding reliability etc.
Yeah they do have their own CPU architecture I think.
whats up guys
@rugged root
Ya π
me when one boat
β΅ πͺ’β΅
Well the thing with mainframe system it is reliable in terms of throughput but when it comes down to scalability it is awful, when it boils to down to things like disaster recovery it becomes a nightmare. Hands down mainframe systems will take less resources than new gen application but the thing is when somethings breaks everything stops for a big amount of time. This is coming from a person with somewhat real life exp. from back office operation(Derivatives)
everything is One
This was just fighting saying that you can make a server layout that is just as performant as a mainframe for less
but I'll live with it
@_@
I am a little particular
A deep breath would do the world of good
instead of him searching for a thesis statement to back up live
oh no no no, even after using things like kafka, zookeeper or redis - which claims to have high throughput it is nowhere close to mainframe.

There is a 0Β° wind at 10 kn (blowing 10 knots from north to south).
What is the shortest amount of time it will take for a sailboat to travel 10 nmi (10 nautical miles) north?
(reply to this with ping with solution pls ty)
Assume a simple sail (just a flat line that deflects wind).
Ignore drag, lift, and air resistance. You only have to worry about the wind.
The sailboat can't drift; it can only travel in the direction it's facing.
Here are some useful hints:
- ||If the sailboat wanted to go south, it would take 1 hour. This is with its sail being pointed 90Β° clockwise to its port side||

(When i mention a sail being pointed in a direction, I'm referring to the direction normal to the sail.)

ok I supposedly made $130. I am very, very, very sceptical about it. I'll have to see if they send me the $$$ to my paypal

The algorithm is known by the names "Physarum" or "Slime Mold Simulation". Numerous agents rush across the field, leaving pheromone trails. They prefer going where there is more pheromone.
Since the algorithm is based on the agents interacting and generating beautiful patterns, this is a way for me to experiment in areas such as swarm intellig...

You write Javascript. The Javascript communicates with native components (Java on Android, Objective C on iOS, C# on Windows).

yep but as hemlock said if linux became as widely adopted as windows people the amount of people trying to break it would be so much that someone would find a way to do malicious stuff
The Linux folks typically aren't good targets
for now linux not needing an antivirus is a big win though
You are not allowed to use that command here. Please use the #bot-commands channel instead.
this = me using this account xD

@brazen gazelle
JetBrains forked rust-analyzer
and it lacked some features because yes
"just use Solaris -- find out that you can't use -A and -B in grep there" (may be outdated)
that fork is archived
PyCharm highlights style issues too
also OpenAPI, DB and other stuff support (on paid version)
@brazen gazelle https://vim.rtorr.com/
@woeful salmon this part may actually be quite good for learning
(at least, that's how I learned to follow style guides)
PyCharm argues when you violate styling
so, like, if you listen to what IDE says, it will help
if you just ignore all warnings -- might as well not use IDE at that stage, yes
VSC doesn't include style linting, afair
(so you have to run black in CLI)
black converts to double too
also this exists
https://github.com/DavidAnson/markdownlint
(iirc, this is now the preferred markdown extension for VSC now)
Markdown All in One?
yes it does
it will also auto format
on save
auto format on safe is off by default but you can turn it on yes
yep i already said that it has style linting but the styling rules are really not strict by default in contrary to pycharm
which is what we were comparing to
linting uses whatever style rules you want though, mine currently reads ruff settings from project's pyproject
yep same i also make flake8 configs per project (my base one + small adjustments if needed) if i'm working on python
@gentle flint sorry one sec
@somber heath i did some progress

@tiny socket i sent u a dm! cant talk in the vc yet
Malbolge () is a public domain esoteric programming language invented by Ben Olmstead in 1998, named after the eighth circle of hell in Dante's Inferno, the Malebolge. It was specifically designed to be almost impossible to use, via a counter-intuitive 'crazy operation', base-three arithmetic, and self-altering code. It builds on the difficulty ...
Yeah, less than the smallest denormalised float.
