you can port code from java to python yes, web apps can be ported as well as other apps.
the result can be identical in terms of input/output but may differ in terms of performance.
Oh i see, it won't happen any crash or misread?
I mean, the port won't be automatic. The porting process is done manually by the software engineer.

hello
damn is this an organised crime call against python?
Then we figure out the problem and things work, then we love it again.
ah
the reason i hate python is because theres no semicolon after commands
is it always there for all commands or is it only sometimes?
!e py print('abc');print('def')
@somber heath :white_check_mark: Your 3.11 eval job has completed with return code 0.
001 | abc

my question is does semicolon work for every single command always?
!e py pass;
@somber heath :warning: Your 3.11 eval job has completed with return code 0.
[No output]
Valid where syntactically appropriate.
hmm so not needed but still there if you prefer it?
is there any reason tho?
or is it just that all python users collectively hate the semicolon
!pep8
PEP 8 is the official style guide for Python. It includes comprehensive guidelines for code formatting, variable naming, and making your code easy to read. Professional Python developers are usually required to follow the guidelines, and will often use code-linters like flake8 to verify that the code they're writing complies with the style guide.
More information:
โข PEP 8 document
โข Our PEP 8 song! :notes:
honestly just because of this i might never use python, just for the fact that the style is without a semicolon

i tried to understand the language and honestly i could not click with it like i do with somthn like c# so although i could get rid of that learning curve i do not think ill enjoy it as much as c# or another language
yea makes sense
and i do genuinely think that python is a "better" language than what i use but i personally just dont enjoy it
something strange about it is although it is beginner friendly id rather use c++ more than python because of that learning curve because i enjoy the difficulty of a language
im not saying c++ is less or more advanced than python at later stages but in the beginning that difficulty makes it more enjoyable
for me

@outer zinc ๐
not voice verified
been on server for 2 days
oh well lol
no worries
understandable
I'd expect that the second puts less load both on client and server
extra requests are for asynchrony
I think it does make sense when main file and other ones come from separate process/containers (or even different computers)
i.e. when it helps improve loading times for the page at the cost of increased complexity and loading times of parts of the page
you can also try both, then benchmark and compare
I am building a backtracking algo to solve sudoku boards but I dont know how to get possible boards that are not solved
@vocal basin i think so too, i will be using include on my main site, as for my github page i can use ajax
to the guy that didn't understand why i use jQuery
these code are the same
// Get a reference to the "content" div
var contentDiv = document.getElementById('content');
// Create a new XMLHttpRequest object
var xhr = new XMLHttpRequest();
// Define the URL of the external HTML file
var url = 'walmart.html';
// Set up a callback function to handle the AJAX response
xhr.onreadystatechange = function () {
if (xhr.readyState === 4 && xhr.status === 200) {
// The request is complete and successful
// Get the HTML content from the response
var htmlContent = xhr.responseText;
// Insert the HTML content into the "content" div
contentDiv.innerHTML = htmlContent;
}
};
// Open a GET request to the specified URL
xhr.open('GET', url, true);
// Send the request
xhr.send();
// Use jQuery to load the external HTML file and insert it into the "content" div
$(document).ready(function () {
var url = 'walmart.html';
$.get(url, function (htmlContent) {
// Insert the HTML content into the "content" div
$('#content').html(htmlContent);
});
});
for modern JS it would be await fetch instead of XMLHttpRequest
const response = await fetch(url);
if response.ok() {
document.getElementById('content').innerHTML = await response.text();
}
seems a lot better lol

can you download folders?
yeah kinda idk
you can't you have to install python also here this https://www.python.org/
of my exe
cool
@wise loom and @dim wagon can you help me in THIS THINGS
what's your goal?
@dim wagon thanks for saying Egypt im from egypt lol
calc
you want to write a calculator
YES
how should it work, what's the input, what's the output
you want to input an expression or you want to input operands and an operation and have it perform the operation?
A=input("A=")
B=input("B=")
OP=input("O=")
A=float(A)
B=float(B)
if OP=="+":
print(A+B)
elif OP=="-":
print(A-B)
elif OP=="*":
print(A*B)
elif OP=="/":
print(A/B)
try this
ok thanks
you're welcome
now talk about it, have you tried it, does it do what you want
do you understand how it works, do you have questions
while True: Number=input("number: ") Number2=input("Numder2: ") Sum =input("Sum: ") Number=float(Number) Number2=float(Number2) if Sum=="+": print(Number+Number2) elif Sum=="-": print(Number-Number2) elif Sum=="*": print(Number*Number2) elif Sum=="/": print(Number/Number2) else: print("sorry we can't do that")
how did you do that man
!e while True:
Number=input("number: ")
Number2=input("Numder2: ")
Sum =input("Sum: ")
Number=float(Number)
Number2=float(Number2)
if Sum=="+":
print(Number+Number2)
elif Sum=="-":
print(Number-Number2)
elif Sum=="":
print(NumberNumber2)
elif Sum=="/":
print(Number/Number2)
else: print("sorry we can't do that")
I donโt think the bot supports user input
Try it on your machine?
Well you first read the numbers from user input, then you read the operation, then you perform the operation and print the result, right?
yeah but it work tho
Cool so youโre done right?
yeah thanks i will go play some roblox now cya
Have fun

Since
What people talk about usually in the VC
I learned py before 3 years and I want to improve my skills I never did any project
And i think I forgot what I learn
Are you good in Py
Why you learn it
Do you think leaning py will be useful for everyone
I want to learn it because I think itโs important but I donโt know where to apply it I donโt have any interest
Yeah I want to enjoy it
But I am scared to not enjoy it
I think until now I donโt know how to use it
Iโm not good in computer
I wish to learn it and understand it well and enjoy it and find things to apply it on that I think it will benefit me a lot
Are you able to see if someone will succeeds in programming or not
@vague dune ๐
No it just I donโt want to waste my time learning and after then stop because I will not succeed at it
Sorry I have to leave
Bye
How can I fix This erorr
You're gating its creation behind an if.
Consider what happens if that if is never satisfied.
Also, what does input return?
What type of object?
int
can you doing the method in a screenshot
now it's work Thank you
here is it a problem
I was not change the type
else branch doesn't define that variable
i.e. it will still crash, but now only on invalid input
I don't understand English very well, but I try understand what you write
btw if anybody is starting to learn python and wants free coaching just dm me

I'm having a problem, I have Python 3.10.0 as the default version so it opens all the python programs in that version now I have installed a newer version of python (3.11.5) but it still opens the programs in 3.10.0 how can I open them in 3.11.5
i make in cmd
idk im using python 3.11
i have idea just copy and past all your scripts in some where then restart your
or
during installation enable this
i make script in notepad๐ค
in
or
yes sir๐ฅถ ๐
you can run the same installer that was used to install Python
so i need to reinstall it?
run the same installer
it will provide an option to modify the current installation
ok
what if it didn't๐ค ๐ฅถ
environment variables checkmark is the important one, as it adds Python to PATH
modify?
ok thx
who want free Mincraft , ROBUX and Vboks๐ค ๐ฅถ
Click this โ
@marble grail ๐ฅถ ๐
what is your ROBLOX user name to get free ROBUX
no scam๐ค ?
java minecraft?
me
i dont have mincraft
i have
is this related to python?
yes 3.11
๐ค
AYOOOO GIVE ME SOME GIVE ME
sad life
@vocal basin is this user sane?
lol
ok i will go study cya all
did you restart the terminal?
wdym?
close the terminal
open the terminal
nothing changed
it works?
its telling u the version atleast
no
try running python "path/to/your/program.py"
i want the 3.11.5
oh mb
3.10.6 is better
py -V:3.11
no it's because for this prgramm i need 3.10 + version
10%~40% slower programs really give time to think and enjoy reality
(3.11 got way faster with some things)
so what do i need to do to change version
torch
fr I run all my programs on arduino
you can try editing the PATH variable but that's not trivial
there should be one called path
hha
u can add the location to python Ill send a sc
yea
one of the problems might be that these are in the wrong order
python --version
too many Pythons
PATH is just basically where your pc looks to run things in cmd
yeah so its not installing 3.11 right
yeah
check your appdata to see if its even in there
did you finish the modify installation or just closed it?
finished
you can just remove lines with 310
@vocal basin don't --version return first in list or newest, either way, it seems they are not gettign anythng
i would like to make a streaming to make things much simple but the bot don't make me verify
first prioritised by Path
quite likely:
User Path contains 3.10
System Path contains 3.11
User Path takes priority over System Path
did you install 3.11 to C:\Program Files?
wait
ok
done
let's see
YESEEEESSES
YESS
WORKS
THX U VERY MUCH
finally
i love both of you are in vc but also just typing it all out here
ima get in on this action
I thought I also had 3.5 because I had to write software that runs on it
but apparently I used syntax check thing instead
with ast
(ast module can parse Python using syntax of earlier versions)
a quest
i installed the new python
the library will be saved from the old p
version
installed packages aren't shared between versions, if that's the question
i have nother error
why all to me
Fatal error: PyInstaller does not include a pre-compiled bootloader for your
platform.
what to do
installation from source might work
https://pyinstaller.org/en/stable/installation.html#installing-from-the-source-archive
it's says i need to go on https://pyinstaller.readthedocs.io/en/stable/bootloader-building.html
oho k
this might still be required; I don't remember what exactly pyinstaller needs for installation
in either case you would need a C/C++ compiler installed
wait i didn't read anything
what OS ya on?
windows
after uninstalling Avast, I now unironically think that Windows Defender is an okay antivirus
yeah lol
I think this is what compiler comes with, if it's not installed
https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/#build-tools-for-visual-studio-2022
(specifically Build Tools because it's smaller than the whole VS)
does this raise any errors right now?
git clone https://github.com/pyinstaller/pyinstaller
cd pyinstaller
pip install .
im with you. windows defender has actually been pretty good for years now
yo
yo
wyd
solving problems
nice
yeah
PyInstaller does not include a pre-compiled bootloader for your
platform.
why
bruh
i hate this shit
trying to make an exe file
@vocal basin need to install this?
Hi frenz.
how to solve this lol
?
we need to pin it
"boys and not boys" - mr. sark
does this compile?
i am instlling
i don't think bc i make scripts on notepad lol
hi @somber heath
When you die, you either become a ghost or you do not.
It's boolean. ๐ป
- @somber heath
when i make cd bootloader it's says that no repositories have that name
cd pyinstaller first
ok then
oh ok
yes
cd bootloader
[MSC v.1936 64 bit (AMD64)]
Checking for 'msvc' (C compiler) : not found
Checking for 'gcc' (C compiler) : not found

so, now install that
ok
"we have a problem: I just installed Linux"
I'd like to think it's a finished thought
Ouch.
this?
that thing
But it never is
no, scroll down
ok
Kali is more for "users" rather than developers
OS as a toolkit
"nmap OS"
I'm too dumb to correctly install nmap on Windows
only this
Should be able to do it via winget, right?
Ah right right
how do i delete my applications ?
or reinstall it
i tried the command its not working
Kali uses apt, right?
Hemlock can I stream my code?
it used to work
then something broke
and I don't care enough to fix
@vocal basin
clean install no changes yet, right?
Checking for 'msvc' (C compiler) : not found
Checking for 'gcc' (C compiler) : not found
Checking for 'clang' (C compiler) : not found
could not configure a C compiler!
nothing changed
in build tools installer?
where was the screenshot from?
Back in a little bit. The new user is here, so I have some things to clean up
?
there is some stuff to the left of this
Screenshot is the right hand side of the package install section
specifically something with C++ in its name
it needs to be selected
In that main part on the left, you'll need to pick the C/C++ compilation tools
Or something to that effect
Should be the top left most one
That's all you'll need
you can re-open the installer by searching for it from the start menu
Visual Studio Installer
!pypi auto-py-to-exe
hemlock can I streeam
then for Build Tools there would be "modify" or something
In a moment, I have to take care of some things
i started the build tools
Just got distracted with helping on that one thing
it depends on pyinstaller
requirements.txt line 2
PyInstaller>=5.8.0```
Right right
and the issue is in what pyinstaller depends on
I'm just saying for ease of use on it
it doesn't wanna upgrade somethings
but it opened this
It does indeed still need the build tools
But dealing with pyinstaller by itself is a pain
ok
Modify the one on the bottom
ok
Portugese?
italian
Gotcha
"no, Portuguese"
this
Sorry, still have a hard time identifying things that aren't either Spanish or French
But once it's done, it's done
And those'll pretty much be the only build tools you'll need when dealing with Python stuff.
Yeah, the defaults it chooses for you are what you need
why i can't send files
Don't need to change anything on the right
oh ok
