windows?
might be faulty anti-cheat
@waxen barn bsod? or other way to crash?
@waxen barn what power supply?
RAM clock level?
this is the important question
might be too little
800 W, depending on GPU/CPU might be not enough
also
that's power input
power output is likely around 500W
3090 Ti is almost guaranteed to crash some 800W power supplies, for example
Corsair 1500W will save the day, guaranteed, it runs my 4090
on my godlike
with my corsair water cooler with a picture board
kW and above is mostly fine for everything
and all the fanci boi stuff
I need to do an async call to send a browser side values to server side django @vocal basin
(800W Γ 60% efficiency -> 480W, and some 3090 Ti variants have TDP of 480W)
stream of values? or single requests?
WebSockets are better for events, especially handling events coming from a server
Fetch is likely simpler for making a single request
(sending a large file, requesting a large file, etc.)
... assuming no network failure happens
though websockets have their own issues regarding failure handling
"JS is Lisp, therefore perfect"
gpu: 350W
cpu: 105W
455W might be okay with 800W PS, if it's high-efficiency (70~80%)
I had gpu+cpu at 240W, and that system fatally crashed a 500W-input PS, because low efficiency
(also, gpu/cpu aren't the only things using the power)
100% doesn't always guarantee 100% power usage
also you need both CPU and GPU high usage
some operations are more power-consuming
1.2kW~2kW
well, many high-power ones are the same size as two power supplies
network
around $100?
ah, there are also very expensive one, closer to $1000
high efficiency
doesn't burn down/explode
custom connectors/wires/etc.
meanwhile me with a <$20 PS: this is fine
Hii @vocal basin

And i reinstall windows annually because updates breaks more than it fixes

Why is DSA weird?
It helps you make efficient code from what I understand
Β―_(γ)_/Β―
I heard it somewhere before and have been using it since
it sucks to write out every time
Enjoy! What are you having?
making a webapp, just for 2 of my friends. it would have 101 notes to view each day of 4 types
25 "reassurances"
25 "remember when?"
25 "things i like about you"
25 "song lyric quotes idfk"
with a song rec for each note. they'd get to see only 1 eachday
idunno whatever its literally my first webapp project im working on welp
and learning quite a lot
That's a lot of things to read every day!
Is it new every day?
yes
Ohhhhhhh 1 of each
1 a day lol
any 1 of those 4 types a day
That's a lot of content to write π€£
E = express?
Ahh
or like how svelte kit is for svelte
Is that Python?
well the notes should update their visibility property to true every night at 12am so, working on that and its screwing up my head
its easier to work with a simple json for now so not donig mongoose right away
got the auth thing working so only they can view their notes
also
Oh, you have to do some time stuff
IM VERY VERY VERY NEW TO THIS SHIT
yuck
I've done some web development stuff, but not with what you are using
i chose qwik cuz it cuts hydration all together, it loads the js needed as when its required
yesyes
Ahh I guess that's cool if you are using a lot of dependencies
yep
I try not to use other frameworks unless I have to

``` is it ok if I use this json formatter
built in python
for this ```py
import logging
from pythonjsonlogger import jsonlogger
logger = logging.getLogger(name)
logger.setLevel(logging.DEBUG)
logHandler = logging.StreamHandler()
formatter = jsonlogger.JsonFormatter()
logHandler.setFormatter(formatter)
logger.addHandler(logHandler)
logger.debug('This is a debug message')
trying to make a jsonlogger for this imma make it weird though
seems reasonable to use that json formatter for this py code ngl
might run with it
you can talk about other stuff sometimes
Yeah I guess these messages count? I think?
@unkempt silo you can try like this
like me
just got to be related to the topic
typing
still typing
typing all day
they do
on and on
lol
counting msgs
ahh its ok you'll get there
Anyway what would you folks be talking about?
u guys know ts?
I do
help me with this.
Well there's a lot to know, I know some of it
I'm talking about a package I'll be making for a project
let i: number = 1;
I know some of it
but sure
this causes error
like : is unexpected
There's no need for typing since it'll pick it up implicitly
let i = 1;
but this shouldn't create an error I think
type ```ts
let i = 1;
Are you sure ts is installed?
if you want to try out commands, use this: https://www.typescriptlang.org/play
The Playground lets you write TypeScript or JavaScript online in a safe and sharable way.
@whole bear your code ran fine for me here, so I think it might be something with your environment
!e
code
!eval [python_version] <code, ...>
Can also use: e
Run Python code and get the results.
This command supports multiple lines of code, including formatted code blocks. Code can be re-evaluated by editing the original message within 10 seconds and clicking the reaction that subsequently appears.
The starting working directory /home, is a writeable temporary file system. Files created, excluding names with leading underscores, will be uploaded in the response.
If multiple codeblocks are in a message, all of them will be joined and evaluated, ignoring the text outside them.
By default, your code is run on Python 3.11. A python_version arg of 3.10 can also be specified.
We've done our best to make this sandboxed, but do let us know if you manage to find an issue with it!
its probably that or a syntax error
for his enviroment
omg ts is not installed. π
lol
ayy thought so
syntax errors mean the engine doesn't understand what you're doing, which happens in this case because it doesn't know what typescript is
since the dependency is missing
yeah
lol yea had a feeling
lol
that's why I gave him js code instead
what's type hint?
you talking like python?
but more on what I said previously: you only need one of these
let i: number;
let i = 1;
Because for the second one i is implicitly of number type
i c
function greeting(name: string): string {
return 'Hello ' + name;
}
``` this could be a type annotation
if I remember
question, ts vs js/python
it is, you're typing the argument and the return
ts is becoming the industry standard where js is used
python is a different thing
I mean ts is basically a superset of javascript
i know. it;s in the book
python is a whole different language so you'll have to seperate em
you could ask ts vs python
If you're trying to figure out which to learn, depends on what you're going to do
Python is used a lot in data science
Software development, frontend tends to be ts/js
yep yep
im saying js/python is for programming, but ts is for type safety.
right?
yes, but you build ts files into js before running them
yep yep
See you progamer
lol
when he says vs I always think he's talking about which one is better
so I was about to say if you're looking for performance then yea typescript is faster than python
I have no idea how js and python compare
same here

print("Node is ready!")
hi
How's it going?
good
python telegram bot
a schedule bot
So it schedules messages or something?
yes,you can set time ,and hi will at that time send message to you
What did you use to delay the message?
a loop
and use asyncio to sleep
and use new Thread
You use a new thread for every message delay?
async def job()
while true:
# check time and send message
await asyncio.sleep(1)
thread = threading.Thread(target=job, daemon=True)
thread.start()
like this
I have another thread that listens
You could have one thread manage a big list of "jobs" and check each one against the time
You only have so many threads on each cpu
And Python won't use more than one cpu unless multiprocessing is used
I don't know if there is any other way to make two functions run at the same time
And one to be synchronous and one asynchronous
I would still use multiple threads, but you only need one to manage the entire list of scheduled tasks
Instead of creating a new thread for every task
How can I do it?
I would make a dataclass or list that holds the jobs you want to check against the time, then hve one thread that just loops through that list and checks all of them against the time.
The list would be globally accessible, so new jobs could always be added to it via a queue
yes i have make a json to save data
Even better to have them in a db
sqlite is quicker than json, but json is a great place to start
what is db
Maybe I should see how to achieve it
I've never done anything like this
sqlite
It's not too bad to start. You only need a few commands - read, save and update
and create table
There's much more that you can do, but those are the minimum for starting and working
Hello @wind raptor π
Hey @molten pewter!
What about MySQL?
Yeah, that works. It's a little tougher to set up, but works the same.
Can I ask you a question I'm having?
Sure
I'm not sure I understand what you want to do.
I have a function and I want her to return two parameters
But when I call him I can refer to call one of the
def asd()
x = 1
y = 2
return x,y
I want to call X alone outside
Oh is satisfactory
can i join the game?
You can use a global variable to achieve this, but that's kind of bad practice
yes he playing the game
I recommend using the returned values where you need them if you can
Ok , i will try it
Hi @dusky lynx π

distance = math.sqrt((math.pow((ball2.position[0] - ball1_position[0]), 2) +
math.pow((ball2.position[1] - ball1_position[1]), 2)))
# Calculate the sum of the two balls' radii
radii_sum = (ball1_diameter / 2) + ball2.radius
# Check if the distance is less than the sum of the radii
if distance < radii_sum:
return True
else:
return False
@staticmethod
def __function_parallelizer(func: types.FunctionType, iterator: list, *bound_parameters) -> list:
partial_func = partial(func, *bound_parameters)

Using free hosting options like repl.it or Heroku for continuous 24/7 bot hosting is strongly discouraged.
Instead, opt for a virtual private server (VPS) or use your own spare hardware if you'd rather not pay for hosting.

saw which where the limitations of the button showing like that and i cant use them, because i need that when i press certain buttons other buttons appear

attempt count?
used Counter
same
||```
from collections import Counter
class Solution:
def isAnagram(self, s: str, t: str) -> bool:
return Counter(s) == Counter(t)
guess theres no best way to do this
you are the other .34% I didnt beat xD
Im looking at the fastest solution and they used a for loop
Actually is very clever that solution they used
hypothetically, this is another option
||```py
class Solution:
def isAnagram(self, s: str, t: str) -> bool:
c = Counter(s)
c.subtract(t)
return Counter() == c
they did not nedd to compare a full hash table
Take a look at this
||```py
class Solution:
def isAnagram(self, s: str, t: str) -> bool:
if len(s) != len(t):
return False
else:
for idx in set(s):
if s.count(idx) != t.count(idx):
return False
return True
comparing the dicts are not O(1) right?
lower bound is O(N) assuming they are equal
N being size
because it runs equality check per each key and each element
but on the best solution qith the for loop over the set, supposing the first element has different counts it will return False before the check of the next keys, so it runs faster than O(n).
Isnt that correct?

what about cs50 ?
idk ?
but you can't explain it most of the time.
it's more like complicated for some and easy for some.
I used it when i was in 2nd grade.
I code dude
why would I need power point what's the connection.
u need it
like not for coding but
basic buisnesses and jobs do
they show like there whole graph on ppt
thats why i opted for ai rather than it
so you are saying if i need a job as developer I need know about power point.
they show ppt to explain there plant to takeover companies like amazon and microsoft
like they can
plant is autocorrected
i wanted to say plan
@somber heath gotta go have a nice day bro

by the way ..are you a programmer ?
i'm looking for a simple solution for arduino program
yeah let me
its arduino IDE
for coding the arduino
the simple code is to turn the servo 0-360 degree single time/once
wow great suggestion.
the result of a division
if you do
20/10 = 2
then 20 is the dividend
10 is the divisor
2 is the quotient
hello
thanks
