In a way, tolerance has turned into a mark that embodies the historical progress humanity has made over the years. But here's a question—is tolerance supposed to have limits?

As a material that creates the majority of the world’s bridges, roads, dams, and construction, concrete releases an extreme amount CO2 each year. It’s the highest consumed product on earth besides water. Until the overall emissions are cut worldwide, the environment will continue to be polluted wi
Hopefully that hits mass market
Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), a peer reviewed journal of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) - an authoritative source of high-impact, original research that broadly spans the biological, physical, and social sciences.
Even this emits carbon, it's just that the fact they're using waste materials offsets that
Mainly makes me wonder whether production of this can scale up to demand
this is just saying that concrete emits a lot of carbon, and that we can reduce it. I don't disagree with that, that's a very widely accepted thing
"During the life of a concrete pavement, the concrete that is exposed to air
slowly absorbs nearly 60 percent of the CO2 released by calcination during the
cement manufacturing process (Nordic Innovation Centre Project 03018). The
carbonation process continues even after the pavement is demolished and the
concrete is crushed and reused. "
"When evaluating the carbon footprint of concrete pavements, it is important
to recognize the difference between cement and concrete. While cement is
an energy-intensive product, concrete is actually one of the world’s most CO2-
effi cient and sustainable construction materials. "
So are we supposed to tear up all existing stuff and replace it?
"Since cement is only a fraction of the constituents in concrete,
manufacturing a cubic yard of concrete (about 3900 lbs) is responsible for
emitting about 400 lbs of CO2. "
"at least 8% of global emissions caused by humans come from the cement industry alone"

@wind raptor
[Position(x=0, y=o), Position(x=1, y=0), Position(x=2, y=1), Position(x=2, y=-1)]
so its 3 edges
i dont get it
i guess i need to sort that in some way
I think you could describe an inside node as having a coordinate pair that is greater than or less than it's coordinate in every direction.
but i need to "add" a new node in the circle (it can be up to 10^9 unit radius), while keeping the minimum number of edges possible
for exemple, here
i can add the blue one,
i can add the blue one
and its still a 3 edges polygon
i will need to use this for sure
so how can i find the "best" x and y to add to keep a minimum number of edges ?
i mean, i only need to get that number of edges, but i need to find the coords of that "new" point.
It looks like it's a competition qualifier, so I don't want to help out too much.
You got this!

A caveman sits in his cave and bashes together two rocks. The noise echoes from off the cave walls. The caveman smiles and he thinks himself rather clever.
Hundreds of thousands of years later, a scientist sits in a room with a computer. He pushes a button, causing two particles to smash together at near-luminal velocity, causing pretty pictures to appear on several computer monitors. The scientist smiles and thinks himself rather clever.

ah ok so ill send a quick screen shot of it, i do have the is digit but i think im using it wrong
👍
If I’m not mistaken, I believe the use case for isdigit (a function) would be “isdigit(input)”
your input would be a value and isdigit would simply return true if it is a digit, and false if it isn’t

how do i share my screen

Well in that case you could do something where for every say 3 values you do an “except” for the error
hmm it says my split input value doesnt give the .isdigit a value or something ill show
oh?
unresolved attritube
for this part
or maybe its double equal
Uh could you show the full code?
ye one sec
i havent removed the else yet
i might see about keeping it actually for now cause i dont fully understand the except and false

txt = "number.word.person”
x = txt.split(".”)
print(x[0])
this would print “number”

you need to check each individual section of your splits
ok im followin for that
and you can navigate which one by using [] indexing
can you grant me screenshare again please
then you wanna use a for loop
oh ok, i can just try that. I was hoping there would be a quicker way haha damn
which would be like “for i in range:”
so you can iterate through the values
but yeah 🤷♂️
hmm so for the "i" in range what do you mean? like input?
sorry for the question harassment lol
for i in range is basically a for loop
a for loop loops a certain amount of times ** **
no problem
an example
huh so like ACTUALLY put down "a" and "i"?
not the a
“for i in range”
here, i is a variable and so is range
Who knows c#
range = 10
for i in range:
print(hello world)
this is an example
i believe
try searching up “for loops in Python” for more depth
yo why the stream not loading for me 🥲
import random
def roll_dice(min_val, max_val):
print("_-------------_")
print(f"Rolling The d{max_val}")
print("_-------------_")
return random.randint(min_val, max_val)
dice_config = {}
sides = input("What type of dice would you like to roll (comma sepatated)? ").split(",")
for dice_type in sides:
dice_config[dice_type] = int(input(f"How many time would you like to roll the {dice_type} sided dice?: "))
for key,value in dice_config.items():
for _ in range(0, value):
print(roll_dice(1, int(key)))

i was my idea but i am noob a programming
wondering if i got to be one of the owner of a few patents
of stadia
Ideas are worthless
The concept of stadia isn't patented wdym
It's just remote desktop but specialised
can some one ask google if there is any patent that i can be one of the owner
@zenith radish im a very deep person
problably i can get a patent piece for quatum computers
😂
how patents work - you made an product or invention then you patent it
You can't patent a concept like a web browser or text editor
i can get a piece of patents for youtube
but problably patentizing software if littler bit more complicate
than the usual inventions
You are just completely misguided
we can learn alot from marco guys
i am guessing how patent work using my intuintives logicstic
You just have to be willing to listen
but the patent system can be change
Ye
can some one tell google to make a robot or a android that do normal people jobs but faster or better
i am involve in more that 500 patentizing invention of all types
but i need to chack if i really get a piece of the patent
she say that she want to be fucked by you
no girl want to do the move move with me t.t
and i live and USA
hihihihihihih
be quiet marco is about to start reading the book
yeah i noticed it my bad, what are you searching? some book?
what kind of book?
i am trying to work on a game engine
to learn programming
but i don't like to study
...........
you could try unity or unreal
i am making one engine using a bitmap piture
to learn programming
i want to work in microsoft but is more to help me out with my economy
but problably next year i apply
for a microsoft job
and tell bill gate to help me out for a few months
windows 12 will be better than windows 12 ?
i was asking to make a windows 12
but windows 11 is ok
@zenith radish how many breaks do you get a day at work?
Wdym I'm flex time
the best way to get a job in a top tech company is to hack the server
and then tell i hacked the server
to get a job
@whole bear You've got some buzzing from your mic
Sorry
Ya man i am good , u still remember be .. huh.
wow we have pro engineer
in the server and was thinking in taking it down
well was think in taking discord down
hihihihhhihihi
flex...ible enough to work 27 hours/day?
hello! new to coding. learning atm what virable and strings mean. really basic stuff. do you guys have any tips?
for a beginner
okay okay!
yes thank you! @rugged root
I do like 6 a day
Hi!
Just waiting for some work things to compile...
Some Fortran stuff again. Gah..
there is so much to learn in coding damn lol
started 3 days ago
yeah..
yes ty boys!
will probably be here more often chatting asking questions.
xdddd
bruh
i snorted liquorice once. did not end well
@whole bear 👋
heyy
How goes it
pgood
like children putting beans up their nose
to do you own language you might need to know the cpu and the chip set and the ram
disagree
compiled software are faster that interpreter ones
c++ and c are faster than python C# and others JIT compiled programs
to do you own language you need to know computer hardware well enough
the bad thing of those old programming language is the manual memory manage
problably some top tech company like google or microsoft need to make a new compiled programming language
with garbage collector
Hey @lavish rover!
but thats why they are faster
to then implement a garbage collector will slow them down slightly
i like c++ to make game engines just because some of the top game engines out there are made in c++
but you can compile a c program with gcc and enable garbage collection with -gc
Hi Chris!
Yet another month and I haven't met you 😢
Me?
I'm not happy about it either KJ
you are much better than mustafa
@lavish rover come on back me up
I'll get there. Going to be planning a trip there soon to meet up with my club peeps, maybe we can get together then. I picked up Rust last week.
i want to see a compiled C# with garbage collector and auto memory manager
c/c++ are used when you need some extra speed
for example an browser
or a game engine
or a OS
i was thinking on making my ownprogramming language to do an OS
as final project
to learn programming
ok
ok
that was like a chinese for me
but ok
.............................................
i might do a CPU emulator
well working on intel coming soon
for knowing too much
Ooh fun, let me know!
a remote programming job is one of the nicer job in the world
but if you some basic programming you can apply for interships
if there are remote interships
and get some money
or you can apply to some big tech company and get a job for one month and the get fire because you need more programming skill
and get a pay check
and the get fire
.............................
good luck passing the leetcode interview
Who’s currency?
if ustafa see 10 real code interview and see the code of 5 apps and try to undestand what each piece code do he might be able to pass the interview
fucking amd, hopelly they launch a 24 core and 32 core home cpu
how the hell is the 7950x not fast enough?
and increase the speed
