Nicholas is always here
I got more but don't want to spam
gimme a sec
let me find them
I spent 400 credits in the last 3 days figuring this out
The first three were “The only thing standing amongst the ruins of the ancient civilisation was a colossal mythological statue that watched over the landscape, digital art”
The 5th and 6th are “He conjured a ball of light in order to be able to see inside the colossal cave, revealing ancient spells carved on the cave walls, digital art”
I got way more epic ones 😭
A demonic circus, where the clowns make balloon animals out of intestines, the elephants are inside out, the cotton candy is covered in eyes, and the three rings are made of bone and viscera.
I have noticed that it is very limited to what it can modify in the context of real life or real photos. I cannot replicate colossal monuments in "real life" prompts compared to "digital art" prompts. Google's Parti is supposed to solve those problems though
The Horsemen of the Apocalypse
group photos
bottom reminds me of infinity stones
Team, mind if I share more?
Yes, I can of course, but I have to find them
Actually, the best generations I got were usually not what I was looking for with my prompts
i recently went from windows 11 to windows 10, since then whenever any app uses hardware acceleration, if looks blurry, i tried disabling hardware acceleration , most of the apps work fine after that, but i am not able to disable hardware acceleration in vs code. what do i do? Is their any permanent solution?
First is “A large circular gate that is slightly open revealing a portal into a purple void dimension, digital art”
Second and thirds are “A realm that connects the universe together, it is where time doesn't pass and is considered the hub between dimensions, digital art”
“A skull faced warrior clad in golden armour, oil painting by Adrianus Eversen. rule of thirds."
There should be an option in the config for VS Code itself
@rugged root
My pfp, “A portrait of a man with blindfolds. the man has dirty blonde hair and stubble. Blue flames surrounded the man. Digital art”
"All or nothing, digital art"
Yes yes ofcourse
“A shadow figure with purple glowing eyes, he has a purple aura emanating from his hands and he is in a distorted space-time environment, digital art”
ill check it
science has gone way too far
NOT FAR ENOUGH
got it
do you guys keep hardware acceleration enabled in discord
?
You might also check to see if your graphics drivers are up to date. Sometimes the difference between the OS is enough to throw stuff off. I think there's also a setting or adjustment thing you can do for the blurriness..... I'll have to poke around
And yeah, I keep it on for Discord
nice
@lavish rover Think that would work well as a prompt?
Too graphic, it might not like it
Damn
But might be worth a shot, I'm not sure
Eh, I don't want you to burn a use
I'm just assuming it's been trained to not give out such images generally
Which is lame
But also an assumption
Macabre and eldrich stuff is dope

@radiant surge do you use a parser generate or anything when writing languages in Rust
I occasionally use chumsky for parser combinators but I usually go handwritten pratt + cstree
most generators i've seen have kinda terrible recovery
I looked at LALRPOP but I couldn't be arsed to learn it
yeah that one's quite confusing, at least to me
i know some people who swear by it though
especially if they intend to bootstrap quickly
chumsky was the most confusing to me
interesting
setup with the traits was hard for me, but it made a lot of sense once I got used to it
tbh it doesn't look too horrible now that I have started completely refactoring my parser
https://tenor.com/bFacZ.gif @radiant surge
hellooooo
this is making me want to completely rewrite my parser again but i can't because i'm building rustc and it's slow as hell
use chumsky::prelude::*;
#[derive(Clone)]
enum Instr {
Left, Right,
Incr, Decr,
Read, Write,
Loop(Vec<Self>),
}
fn parser() -> impl Parser<char, Vec<Instr>, Error = Simple<char>> {
recursive(|bf| choice((
just('<').to(Instr::Left),
just('>').to(Instr::Right),
just('+').to(Instr::Incr),
just('-').to(Instr::Decr),
just(',').to(Instr::Read),
just('.').to(Instr::Write),
bf.delimited_by(just('['), just(']')).map(Instr::Loop),
))
.repeated())
}
@zenith radish bf in chumsky
i know someone who wrote a really good brainfuck optimizer
it's both insane and amazing at the same time
why are you building rustc?

OH. The actions failed because you didn't include the setup-python step, so you got the default, which is apparently 3.8

How?
Basically setting the height to the viewheight minus the bottom box instead of the parent div height, since the parent div's size depended on the child's size
please tell me how I can improve the algorithm
Timofey is looking for a place to build a house for himself. The street on which he wants to live has a length of n, that is, it consists of n identical consecutive sections. Each plot is either empty, or a house has already been built on it.
Sociable Timofey does not want to live far from other people on this street. Therefore, it is important for him to know the distance to the nearest empty plot for each plot. If the plot is empty, this value will be zero — the distance to itself.
Help Timothy calculate the required distances. To do this, you have a street map. The houses in the city of Timothy were numbered in the order in which they were built, so their numbers on the map are not ordered in any way. Empty areas are marked with zeros.

Question: what's a good syntax for function types?
Definitely NOT c like:
ret_type (*name)(param_1, param_2)
something like python
def function_name(attribute):
That's for a function definition, but not a type
Ok
(parameter: type, parameter:type,...) => type
What about this ?
That could work
How is your programming language going ?
It's going alright
Managed to get some basic SDL bindings the other day
Currently working towards being able to write a ray tracer in it
That's Great
I guess you will have better language than Sreaperz
It's still very early so ¯_(ツ)_/¯
what's this ?
The SDL example
By the way what's SDL 😅
Oh it's like a graphics library
got it something like mataploit ?
I uh don't know what that is sorry
it's a python library used to plot graph's and make picture's something like that
Oh matplotlib
No not particularly, it's like much more low level for displaying graphics / getting keyboard input etc
ya
So like the Source game engine is based on SDL
🤷♂️
definitely illegal
Ya
A guy came to me and asked me to make a cryptojacking program and cryptojacking is legal 😂
from here? report em to @rapid crown

"A monad is a monoid in the category of endofunctors"
Words dreamed up by the utterly insane!!!
In this video I go over the common meme and explain it's origins and show many examples of monads out in the wild!
This video is intended for anyone with programming experience who wants to finally understand what a Monad is all about! Including exam...
If you had to pick the most inaccessible terms in all of software engineering, monad would be a strong contender for first place, because of its spooky math background that uses terms like endofunctor and monoid. As it turns out, monads are an extremely powerful design pattern that can be used without any math knowledge. In this video, we’ll cov...
You may have heard that a monad is a monoid in the category of endofunctors, but what does that actually mean? In this video, you'll learn the basics of category theory and understand the infamous sentence!
This is my entry to the summer of math exposition round 2 hosted by @3Blue1Brown.
We are starting out with a new tutorial series on advanced Python programming. In this first video we talk about magic methods or dunder.

@rugged root wanna play a game of BugSweeper? Assuming you know how to play normal minesweeper
That's the app I was working on before
Not only do I know how to play minesweeper, I play it a whole damn lot
can multiple people play?

Gotcha
We're gonna submit the video tomorrow 👀
How'd it go?

Pretty good imo. It was a lot of fun, and we created something that I think is actually a fun game
What do you think of the animation?
Lolol agreed
All the flags from my last game are still there
Yeah
I implemented the flag persist logic half an hour ago or something, so it's pretty new stuff. On the main branch, it currently just forgets the flags when you refresh
Oh well
Could I join the call?
Of course
i keep missing it ><

Ooo, nice
It's how I knew some of those were safe
But of course I misread one of them and nuked myself at the end
I'll put it up on our board
Welp
I knew one mine that way
Otherwise I would've been stuck
What did you all think of the game? Any especially positive/negative feedback?
