Its not even that. Its the fact that PBS kids taught alot of important basic things. Letters, Numbers, questioning thinking, creativity. It was a voice to tell kids they are smart and good and can create anything they desire with the right knowledge and thoughts. They are not lesser for not knowing something, because PBS will teach you what you need. All with entertaining stories and characters and just fun shows.

Dragon Tales was more character focused but had lessons about anger control, self worth, and respecting people. Cyberchase was about math but also went into environmentalism and inventing with creativity. It taught about noticing things in the world around you. Electric Company had both vocabulary and social lessons with situations that even had villains experience being beyond a one note character.

I cannot elaborate in enough words what PBS meant to me and other people. It wasnt just "educational" boring stuff for kids. It was a whole world of a voice telling kids how powerful knowledge is.

Just realized all of the big three channels (if you count the sub-channels) have aired a Yu-Gi-Oh show at some point.

Nicktoons aired the original, CN aired 5D's and also GX on Toonami, and Disney XD aired SEVENS and GO RUSH!!

Only other franchise I can think of that did that is Marvel. Nicktoons aired Iron Man: Armored Adventures, CN aired The Super Hero Squad Show, and of course Disney's had several shows.

Like we can complain about streaming services continually removing shows and ultimately defeating the point of having a streaming service. But I think having only part of a show available makes even less sense unless there’s some licensing mishaps afoot.
