But overall, serialized is what I prefer simply due to the fact a continuous adventure/mystery is usually what keeps me hooked into continuing to watch something

True, but its best to research the company at that point or ask a few questions. Even just look at what the company says promotionally. Talk to people who know or follow the company better if you dont know of them too much.

I can answer this one, sort of.
Chris is pulling more from saturday/sunday news comics akin to family circus, pearls before swine, Peanuts and Beetle Bailey. Something within that ballpark. I dont remember all the comics that were in the sunday paper but I do remember seeing a few.

Ducktales pulled more from comics published and sold at stores in issues. That style has always been generally more appealing to people and has more design put into it rather than the characters being simple for simple funnies.

Petition for people to remember/consider that older books take place in locations where local residents would have a certain accent/twang and then actually cast people who can or have that twang for the vibes and line reading to sound more natural.

Actually, enemies to lovers is a very common trope and I dont ship it myself so you'd have to ask someone who does but in various ways, it can be read romantically as "I love you so much I hate you".

As for not wanting the main hetero ship, I would have to show you a timeline that LGBT rep and generally LGBT characters havent existed long on screen or in major media without it being cut short or scrutinized in some way.

Okay. I understand the headcanon. I HIGHLY encourage people to ship whoever they like with whoever as long as it's legal. BUT. it gets to a point. Because at the end of the day it's a "HEADCANON" and it doesn't have to be canon. You can make as much fan work and convince yourself it's canon but you can't force the author of the story to twist their ending after YEARS of writing for your own headcanon and call it homophobic. This doesn't mean I want the "Straight" ship more it just means I respect whatever the author makes..

Theres also something to be said about how alot of very close friendships can read or feel like romance.
