In the interest of backing up my own rods, I can try it.

However, this server literally does have a nostalgia bias. Its not even with just TMNT, this is just the specific example. Most here to an extent grew up with the 2012 version. They constantly praise it for writing, later seasons, etc.

But people also praise early spongebob, their own shows from their childhood, etc. Ive seen it over many years. ATLA is also a major nostalgia bias.

I think every generation is bound to praise what they grew up to. Just based on nostalgia alone. I tend to do that myself but I keep it out when I'm doing any reviews or something

I did not see ATLA but I wish I can someday but I don't know where to watch it. But I've seen MAJOR praise for every LITTLE microsecond in that show. Any FRAME any MINOR CHARACTER. It's considered the greatest show of all times.. Which sets up some high Expectations for me..to a point I think I'm gonna be SOO disappointed when I actually watch it

I should back up my word and try things but I can say confidently that 2012 TMNTs art style just....put me off in a way I cant describe. Its not a nostalgia bias of my own, I like most renditions of TMNT and their takes, I tolerated the micheal bay movies of all things(though they are....bad...)

As for ATLA, its good. Its alot to watch through but its good. You really have to be a massive nerd emotionally attached to it to feel the joy they talk about though, otherwise I think you'll just be entertained with good writing and visuals.

Im generally sick of them locking in on this but both times Pilkey adaptations were made they either did little to advertise or did but not to the extent of this dedication and creativity. And then seemingly dropped dogman like he didnt matter anymore.

Yeah I'll definitely watch all of the episodes. The void plot was never the main reason why I liked this show. There's a total of 6 void/Rob episodes, the disaster two parter, The future, the void, the nemesis and The EX.
I think the arc definitely enhanced the show for me but I liked other things about the show before season 3. Mostly the adventures Gumball has and the characters (except for Molly)

Nah, its still good now. Light is great, its rendered wonderfully, its animated cartoonishly yet with some realistic movement so its not offputting or too unrealistic for weight distribution, each character has nice textures but not too much, and Sly is...well the handsome thief himself.

Thats partially the point. She was the youngest diamond treated like a little sister/court jester and never taken seriously. At the same time she was coddled into thinking only her desires mattered and it had massive consequences. This is as much the Diamond's fault as it is hers. They raised her to be this way through coddling and abuse. I'd run too if my mother figures were treating me both like a child and like a nuisance who doesnt listen to them despite doing everything they ask.

That doesnt free her of her crimes, no. I will never say shes right for lying to her own friends, running off and leaving Steven to shoulder all these problems, but I want to stress....she is a product of her environment as much as she is kind of a brat.

The expressions and animation, still peak as always, the episodes are a mixed bag for me though, I feel like it took a minute to reach that signature gumball writing I love so dear, but the later episodes seemed to grasp that and that's when I started to like the episodes again.
however, there is a strong STRONG smell of fan service in these episodes that I cannot ignore. I won't go into details, but it really felt like they were recycling material for some episodes. They weren't bad, but it left a weird feeling for me, but otherwise, it's still gumball. solid 8.5/10 for me.

My brother actually brought up an interesting point on why KPDH went to Netflix
He said that because of the wider accessibility streaming brings, especially for newer releases, and because of how social media helps boosts said releases thanks to the accessibility, it results in more revenue than it would’ve made had it gone to theaters
Or something along those lines

Also had it gone to theaters, it would’ve been curb stomped by everything that had already released and would release afterwards

Its not sexist to point out a trope, but Rouge specifically was intended to be a bit sexy in design. As for others, I think thats just people being weird about it bc women show off body yadda yadda. And to that we tell them to stop objectifying women.

Sonic in most regards that Im aware of treats Rouge with a good amount of respect and shes proven competent and will dip out of something when its going to hurt her or someone else she might care about. It would be vastly different if they simply paraded her as purely eye candy.
