The plot involves them going on some large magical adventure, travelling to unknown places and having to rescue someone. Okay simple enough.

Via magic mishaps, papa is captured and they have to go on said adventure to find him. Ron Swanson joins them because he was Papas brother tending to those weird fuzzy things in peace and quiet and they have to go fight gargamel and his weird little brother or whatever.

Easy enough to do. There's episodes of the HB show where Handy has emulated our own modern appliances like TV, it shouldnt be a stretch to apply the same concept to a phone or have the "social media" smurf be a gossip drama type of person who just keeps yapping peoples secrets

This is very biased information and kind of around Lilo and stitch advertising so take that into consideration but everytime in Target Ive been near the Disney section, it did not play alot of Moana songs in general, it went with the bias of other more popular ones including Lilo and Stitch ones.

Okay. First of all.
I like the idea of it. It being in the depths of hell and all. And Charlie is just a really good character. Very optimistic and carefree (reminds me of svtfoe kinda charm) and the cast of characters is unique and fun.
Also.VERY good songs I listen to regularly.
The show can tackle more darker themes without it being forced.
And I am rambling rn but I have SO MUCH MORE

I have my words about it, but there's alot of more nuance to why various people hate the show.

Personally her humor is very one note and kind of has one punchline of "LOL SEX" for my taste, she boasts and wants to talk about deeper subjects but then bails out on committing to that idea or portraying them poorly. HH also in general feels very rushed for the 8 episodes we got to where no character really gets to have a good deeper moment.

|| Also theres major whiplash that she wants us to feel bad for abused characters like Angel Dust or others but then uses that same abuse as a punchline as a later joke. It comes off as confusing and insincere since she's willing to use these traumas for shock humor and it lessons the value of her deeper story. ||

Okay.first of all I completely respect your opinion on this truly.
And I can agree the show was rushed to the finale cause..they introduce danger in the first episodes and on the last one they're ALREADY fighting heaven itself..like tackling the main villain immediately felt rushed. And didn't develop heaven but as more of (oh the supposedly bad guys are good and the good guys are actually bad!) Kind of plot. I did not like that idea.

||also about the angel dust thing. Maybe she just didn't have time to develop his character more. And focused on the humor..because she didn't want the show to go TOO DARK until it's just painful to watch..||

I wish we did get to see more of Heaven's hypocritical ways to kind of justify more of why Charlie is upset rather than just 'Adam and Lute are jerks, and the angel in charge is just letting people be bad but get away with it'.

|| Then she should've actually thought about the writing she was doing, and realized she isnt playing with a funny abuse concept, but a genuine scary topic that cant be handled as a joke and a serious subject in the same breath. She just cant write this stuff with tact cause at the end of the day any sexual homor or story she writes to me comes off as if shes ignorant to the reality of what shes trying to portray and handles it with so poorly when confronted with being told shes wrong. ||

Much better than HH by a bit, Mostly because it has more time to tell a story and talk about its characters, however the writing still sucks in some places like largely the Stolas and Goetia characterizations, and very weird change into just focusing on Blitzo and Stolas.

There's so much more that couldve been brought up about their livestyle to not paint Stella as a one note character, the fact she says "Hes stiff as a board" is written off as a joke but its been pointed out that if someone is very uninterested in intercourse, it can borderline be SA even between married people.

Im also so very personally disappointed that Stolas didnt have proper writing that would show how spoiled he really is with a silver spoon in his mouth and how that affects how he treats Blitzo bc of his status. Blitzo calling this out and Stolas being forced to confront hes a spoiled brat just as his own wife is would be so dang cool to me.

Also the fact "Ghostfuckers" was the only episode to really give Millie more character outside of "she lives in texas hell and is part of a southern family" says alot and Brandon Rogers wrote that one himself. Viv cant give Millie character to save her life. Now shes pregnant and I know they wanted a family but all I expect is the most cheap shot women pregnancy humor cause Viv cant write women.

Which by the way let's talk about him. I know his background. I know his trauma. But was the only thing to make you trust Stolas is him being homeless..everything he ever loved taken from him? NOW YOU CARE ABOUT HIM? it was so..rushed.i would have loved to see them talk it out together. Without Blitzø just blowing up at him for being born rich

The only issue with Moxxie being bi is that Viv uses it as an excuse to make vulgar gay jokes and it constantly pushes his boundaries which reads to me as she finds it funny to tease people that way and disrespect someones lines of comfort.

Also on HH for a second. Im very confused about Angel Dust.
So he's canonically been hurt in ways I cannot describe here but they basically do not respect his personal space ten times over. He then puts on some front of being unbothered by it, and proceeds to push himself into other people's boundaries.

Why would someone whos had their own boundaries ruined.....then do nothing but ignore others boundaries??? Surely there is a million other ways he can be a massive attention seeking prick without forcing himself into Husks' face 24/7. It feels contradictory that he completely understands what its like to have no privacy and respect and then proceeds to do the same thing his abuser(s) have done.

If its all for the front, then shes just putting him through CONSTANT trauma and masking for the sake of angsty backstory which SUCKS as writing. It just makes him as a character one note and depressing.

It depends on what part of the UK you come from. I learned this from Good Omens of all things, but the UK has regional accents. And they can sorta tell where you come from like how the US can tell people come from the north US or south US, or midwest.

I know this because Aziraphale the angel(played by a welsh actor funny enough), is called a "southern pansy" in the movie and adaptation. Meaning most clock hes from the south of the UK where theyre often known to be softer and more bullyable than other places.

That depends I think. Jay has brought up and I think about it alot now that our algorithms are so tailored to us, if we dont engage with specific topics, we dont get them at all.

On Instagram, I follow art related stuff, etsy or handmade merch, or even crafts and cutesy related things. I also follow cartoons but largely that gets me reposted memes. But if you asked me about the current state of sports or car racing, I would have no clue since its not even advertised to me in the slightest.

I’ll say those are good but also kind of catered to specific audiences. Cause on one hand, most people probably only watch one or two movies in a theatre at a time and those movies can be of different genres aimed at different audiences so whatever movie you watch is gonna show trailers for similar movies.

And on the other hand, both Elio and Smurfs have been seeing heavy promotion on social media and both movies are still expected to be box office bombs.

Omniverse was HATED at first because the animation was a bit different. The character designs were a bit different. But after a while people warmed up to it. It felt good and had a lot of good episodes and new alians and some would go out of their way to call it the BEST Ben ten ever. Or at least the "Childhood crush" version of Ben ten series at some point

  1. Steven largely has had really unstructured life and zero concept on how to really date or talk to anyone properly about dating, on top of the fact he was so stressed in Future, he thought just marrying Connie and running off would fix all his problems. He was a messed up kid.

  2. Finn at the time with FP is 13 and also grew up in an unstructured world. He's a dumb teenager who thinks butts are funny and would slap the top of a doorway. It also was to portray kids can be pretty dumb with relationships.

  3. NGL I think Regular show has weird writing at times and that mostly is around Mordecai's entire love interest arcs. But I doubt JG Quintel is dealing with some bad relationship all the time.

  4. I dont know what Ben 10 that is, but Im gonna assume its part of some high school romance drama plot

It's a show giving each character an episode and the episodes actually connect to each other and we see scenes from older episodes or teases for new ones..it's well written
(Unless you count the hole they made because they cut the trans plot..which..idk what to feel about)

I will defend Pixar and explain to people more nuance to stuff but funny enough, recent Pixar productions have been a little...samey to me. Not cause of the art style, I can tell what is what. But because I guess its just alot of stuff that isnt something I immediately think about relating to or want to see at the moment.

Honestly, what I think they should do with the ending (speaking of Quintel) is have it end similarly to Regular Show, I don't mean the whole little arc at the end. I just mean that whole ending montage where all the main characters are older and have kids and have that segway into a spinoff that takes place in that future, since fwik the Regular Show spinoff with that concept is still going to happen, so having that and a Gumball spin off with the same premise at the same time would be really cool. Even if the premise kinda already exists with fans making AUs of Gumball with TAFOG and that stuff. It'd still be cool to see!

Honestly. I don't mind shows going "bold" or as far as to make some risks in the shows for younger audiences. I like that. It's funny. And you can look back and laugh harder and harder every time. (Especially in regular show or gumball etc)
I just always had this tick about older shows coming back to tackle modern ideas (IT'S NOT SOMETHING BAD I SWEAR I'm just saying my me opinion and I can be wrong.) But genuinely. The show can still be good even with these things.

Like I recently wrote a story that tackles just how brutal dictatorship is and how difficult it can be living under those situations, and it is fun to write that sort of stuff. And honestly, you don't even necessarily have to tread lightfully either, you can write whatever you want with a fictional story, because it's fiction. What is said is tied to the characters not the creator, so realistically nothing can be held against you for writing into the more grim aspects of politics.
