Within "The Copycats" it was somewhat confirmed that they'll continue to keep their voices at least, as towards the end, their older VAs were replaced with the newer VAs (at the time).

Yes, his family was mean, but he was also quite mean.
He was contrasted against Monster's often blind optimism and naivety.

There's plenty of episodes before and after in which Squidward/Mrs. Puff got the poor end of the stick

Back at the Barnyard is actually quite funny, and if the argument there is that Otis is "an asshole" then,

A.) He gets dunked on all the time. Mean protags can work if they lose often
B.) Subjectively, he's very funny as well, and I also think meaner protags can work if they're funny (most people enjoy Pig, for example)
C.) The comedy is often quite layered and the absurdism within the show is well-written

Albiet, I find it less funny than BatB, but again, calling it a dark age or contributing to the downfall is weird.

Dudley was quite funny, and the dynamic of the crew was very wacky and unpredictable. It wasn't meant to be a show to take seriously imo.

Invader Zim? Ren & Stimpy? Fairly Oddparents? Jimmy Neutron? Teenage Robot? Rocket Power? CatDog (moreso Cat)? Danny Phantom?

In fact, one of the grievances I have with modern animation is the lack of meaner protags. The more you go back (like before 2005), the more qualities you've said you don't like are actually MORE prevelant.

I was critical to 2010s era of CN because the vibe at that time was either too safe or too boring. My top 10 Greatest CN shows includes 3 shows from the 2010s and they are for me but not necessarily my number 1. The 3 shows are Regular Show, Gumball and We Bare Bears. My standard is all about watching cartoons and have a good and fun time, NOT too academic like AT or SU or too unhinged like EEE or too overhyped like Ben 10.

  3. Billy and Mandy.
  4. Regular Show.
  5. Courage.
  6. Teen Titans. (I would consider another show that is not DC in the future to be in my list)

  8. Gumball (still pending because of ss7).

What does this mean? How is AT 'academic' in any way, how is SU even described that way? AT is literally ADHD in a show and SU is about feelings and the characters being in a magical girl anime with angst.

AT literally has said the word "sexy" at least twice, involved various jokes people still quote to this day that are wild it even got on the channel to begin with. As for Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy, I don't respect it because I have to deal with some unlikable characters when I rewatch and ppl rank No. 1 Best CN a little too much.

Ben 10 as a whole, being popular or not, needs to retire because for me, Omniverse is a close-ending and there is no reason to milk it again.

Anyway, back to AT and SU. If you want to convince me otherwise then go ahead. I was trying to rewatch both of them and I failed. I don't love both of them as much as everyone.

Its not a one to one example since Craig and his friends arent fighting evils, but its the same childlike vibe of kids being inventive, making their own groups/factions, playing pretend in a way and at times waging war with those factions they made up.

Weird one I guess but Cleo in space did that for funny reasons and it ended up pretty helpful.

Cleo in space gives Brian and Akila a 'son' in the form of a robot thats basically their child. Im personally convinced its a 'the baby will save the marriage' except in the form of teasing theyll end up together because theyre coparenting.

Eyeball, the robot son, ends up really good as a character in concept cause he mentally starts at the age of 5(by my guess) and interacts with the others well.

That's actually the key solution in adding a baby that's good in a show.. Make the child have a good personality.. Don't make it revolve around 'hi I'm a new baby' kind of thing. They have their own personality.. Maybe dreams and hopes and stuff

My example is when FOP added poof.. He wasn't JUST a baby for the majority of it.. He was shown to learn..to grow..go to school.. Make friends.. Enemies.. ACTUALLY TALK TOO.

Well the season 36 finale is a flash forward (which aren't canon to simpsons lore) and in the episode they kill off Marge. A lot of people forgot that flash forwards aren't canon and got pissed off at the Marge kill off

Aight, so I guess I'm about to see Elio in an hour. Its funny; I was initially pretty excited from the premise and the first few trailers. Overtime though, my hype for it kind of waned (along with everyone else I guess). I dunno if it was the newer trailers, but I just wasn't that interested anymore. And now all of a sudden, the urge to go see it has come back. I dunno about that either lol

So, Elio was alright. It was pretty rushed in a lot of places, like Elio forming his friendship with the worm-like creature or him getting accustomed to, I'll just call it the mothership lol. Though, it was pretty funny at points and of course, with it being made by Pixar, the animation and artstyle are beautiful. Oh and it has quite some heart to it. I'll give it a 7/10
