PC snapshot is from 26/09/25 and Android snapshot is from 28/09/25.

I move file forge.adv made on PC version to Download folder on Android tablet. But when Itry to load it on Android it gives me the error of the first screenshot.

Second screenshot shows that file is on tablet’s Download folder.

Third screenshot shows my tablet has 4 GB of RAM, I hope it’s enough.

Android version is 14, like it shows at fourth screenshot.

That all should work as far as I'm aware. I just backed up my saves from 7.26 on Android and loaded them onto 7.28 on PC. Which is pretty close to what you're trying. Thinking about other possible issues now.

#

Is there a way you can show me the size of forge.adv on the tablet?

#

Mine was around 22 MB for 7 or so save slots. I'm wondering if it's possible you didn't transfer a good/complete copy.

#

Not at all sure. Just a possible theory.

If it's PC to Android, then it's storage access could be the issue since Forge android isn't the owner of the backup file. Workaround is to extract the backup using zip manager to the adventure save directory.

Ooof, which feels like exactly what that Export/Import business was trying to work around. I don't know Android that well though. I didn't know that was even possible.

But then getting the files copied over could be weird. This is maybe where someone with more Android expertise needs to provide advice. In my limited experience Android doesn't love when you try to mess with /Android/obb folder contents. My workarounds have been inconsistent and hackish. The file browser I use crashes often. And most won't even open that folder.

#

If you can get to it, the actual save files are stored in /storage/emulated/0/Android/obb/forge.app/Forge/data/adventure/Shandalar.

#

Or whatever your equivalent of Android/obb is if it's different on your device. (Again, I don't know Android very well.)

Is this right ?

untold bridge
#

Yes.

#

Now you just need to get them into the right place. Many file managers won't even show you the Android/obb folder.

#

Oh, I thought they should be on downloads folder.

For the import/export function to work, that would be correct. But it sounds like that doesn't always work and we are doing it manually based on what kevlahnota said.

#

People with orange and green names are the developers, and they definitely know the app the best.

#

If you can't find Android/obb, you might have better luck with Amaze File Manager. It's free (and open source). Someone who knows Android better might have a more solid suggestion though.

So I should leave files here ?

untold bridge
#

A little deeper. From there go into forge.app/Forge/data/adventure/Shandalar.

#

Ok, it should work now ?

untold bridge
#

I think so, yes. You might have to close and reopen Forge.

#

(You also might not. Maybe just press Load and see if they're there.)

Ok, I’ll try

Data button method still didn’t work, but loading does. Thanks for your help.
