Forge exe fails to launch (Java Runtime Error) | forge | Page 1

Forge launches with the Java 8 Launcher, but does not launch with the Forge exe file. The error is: "This Application Requires a Java Runtime Environment 11.1.0. Is there any way around this or any idea of how to fix this?

BTW I am running Forge Windows 11 and have the latest version of Java installed.

That is not the latest java

I checked for updates and it said my client was up to date.

The problem isn't always TOO OLD a JVM, it's too NEW a JVM. This happens with Java JDK > 17.

@safe harbor I don't really know why you claim that higher version of java don't work with forge and deny the fact that the problem is invalid java environment/paths for forge due to multiple java versions installed. For the sake of testing I download Java JDK 22 and test forge.. and it works even with multiple instance..
