Can't select Planeswalker type Jared

When given the option to pick a planeswalker type, not all planeswalkers are available to pick. I had [[Jared Carthalion]] on the board. I attack d with and triggered [[Leori, Sparktouched Hunter]]. I was unable to search for or select Jared as a planeswalker type.
