#Missing cards or typo?

New to forge, read the FAQ and hopefully my question isn't too dumb.

I'm super excited to use forge for A.i play, been making decks for years but no one to play with.

But one deck I imported has 3 cards that don't seem available, but do I have the latest version?
I'm on mobile, version 1.6.53.001 .

I'm missing the following cards.
Braid's, arisen nightmare.
Braid's frightful return.
Misery's shadow.

Coincidentally they all have commas or a apostrophe, so is this just a typo issue?

What's the best way to stay up to date on what cards this game has and doesn't have?

I'm guessing its having a problem with "0 3 Misery's Shadow"

I tried doing it manually too.
I click "Catalog" and type in "Misery's" but it didn't find anything.

I don't really know what a snapshot is, I assume it's a update?
How do I apply it?
Or will it be a brand new install and I need to delete my current Forge?

(Replacing my previous reply because somehow I didn't see that there were replies to this yet)

A snapshot is a "non-release" version of the application. Basically, we built a new version but didn't officially declare it to be any particular milestone. Because of some technicalities with our build process, that's the only way Android builds are being pushed out right now.

Because we don't use the Google Play Store ecosystem, even when the app self-updates, it's pulling down a new copy of the .apk file for you to manually set up. So I believe this will overwrite your existing install.

Should the ai be able to use all the cards in the snapshots?

No. The AI can't use all the cards in any release, to be honest. We try to filter out what we can from generated decks, and there's an icon on the deck list that shows whether or not the AI is known to have any problems with cards in that deck, but mistakes WILL be made with complex cards, or even simple ones at times.

My go-to example is [[Meddling Mage]] - The AI is technically capable of naming a card and saying "you can't play this". But it has no knowledge whatsoever of what format it is playing in, what the current metagame looks like, what combos are likely to be in your deck based on what cards it has seen, or memory of what might have beaten it in previous games. So while the card "functions", the AI can't be expected to know what to do with it like a human would.

Is the ai symbol the thing next to the star on the left side, with green squares with lines sticking off the side?

Yes, that's recently been changed, I think it's supposed to be a processor chip.

All of my decks show a green chip. Does that mean full compatibility?

One deck shows a grey chip...

If that icon is grey, the AI is known to struggle with at least one card in that deck. If it is green, we haven't explicitly identified any issues with those cards, but there's no guarantees in any case.

I'm on the grey chip deck, looking at the cards list.... How do I tell which one is the struggle card?

Is there a chip color for a card that represents a card way too hard for ai, like worse than grey?

To my knowledge, we don't represent that in the mobile UI in any way, likely due to space restrictions on a mobile device. I think there's a slightly more informative view in the desktop build which can show you which cards in the decklist don't work well.

hmm I am on that desktop build Friar shared with me and it says "ai status 1" , so I probably have just 1 card that is hard to use.... but I cant seem to find a simple way to show what card is the issue.

Guess I will need to do a process of elimination

Found it.
Got it on my first guess, it was Demonic Pact. I assume it can use the card but it doesn't understand how suicidal the card is lol

Yep. I would guess its fine at not choosing the bad option, but not fine at getting rid of it before it kills you

Also, when starting games on Desktop that are bad for ai, you should get a popup saying which cards are bad?

I didn't get the pop up mentioning exactly what card is the issue , just said there is a total of 1 card that is an issue.

I don't know the full details of how we do localization, but the card does not appear in cardnames-es-ES.txt
